Review: Entertaining Star Trek feature about Khan wanting revenge on Captain Kirk. To do so he will hijak another Federation ship and try to steal project Genesis (a device that creates life) This is one of the better movies. My only complaint is it does get slow and boring at times. Still you see some good space duels between Kirk and Khan.

Summary: After seven movies, this one remains the best
Review: I first saw this movie only a long time after seeing numbers 3 through to 6, but it instantly became my favorite. I was fortunate to have seen this film along with the rest of them at a sci-fi film festival held at my local cinema. This film is highly polished, and has all the best things about eighties styling in it. (Except that Khan's look has dated somewhat, and his hairsyle seems to have been borrowed intact from Tina Turner in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome). The visual effects were high quality, and the nebula scenes still seem better than anything computers can do. (Insurrection comes close). The Enterprise was vastly improved from The Motion Picture- and the darkened, more detailed sets fit in nicely with the (then) new Starfleet Uniforms. Shatner was more in character as Kirk in The Wrath of Khan, and a nice new dimension to his character is that he must learn to face age, and death. Khan is still the best villian in a Trek production, and the fact that he is more obsessed with revenge than evil makes him more realistic. The old series fanfare at the beginning of the awe inspiring title theme tells those who see the film that it is something special. It may have aged styling wise, but the story, so far, has not been beaten.

Summary: This is the BEST of Star Trek
Review: Everyone knows by now that Star Trek II is the best of the series. All of the elements that made the original TV run such a success are present here (and more): intelligent storytelling, great villans, great characterizations, and believable drama. William Shatner is at his best here as Kirk, facing his own mortality for the first time, confronts the outcomes of many of his life's decisions (an ex-flame, his son, his decision to accept the promotion out of the Captain's chair, and the return of a deadly adversary from the past).Nicholas Meyer has given Star Trek a different look and feel in this film which is a colorful and classically nautical derivitive of the old "Horatio Hornblower" stories. That, combined with a "Moby Dick" theme, helps create a thrilling, edge of your seat adventure that is filled with non-stop Trek moments. The special effects are brilliant for the time, and the sets are above average. James Horner's score adds to the nautical feel of the film. There is a darker and more violent tone to the film (I'm quite sure if this film had been made a few years later it would have EASILY been a PG-13) which may put off some viewers, but it is appropriate, and adds to the suspense of the story. Overall, this is the one Trek movie with the most repeat viewing value. My only complaint: I wish I could experience the excitement and suspense again for the first time!

Summary: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn is THE BEST Star Trek film!
Review: What can I say, except that Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn is THE Greatest Star Trek movie EVER made. The story is wonderful, the effects were terrific for their day, the soundtrack is one of the best ever made for a Star Trek movie. I deffently recomend it for EVERY TRUE STAR TREK FAN.

Review: Having seen this movie countless times, I believe that II is the best example of the kind of Star Trek special effects we remember from the original series. You get the sense of camaraderie you remember from the series and has the best special effects of any film until "Generations".

Summary: Kirk vs Khan over the fate of mankind
Review: That;s a pretty accurate statement for the story of Wrath Of Khan. The attention goes to the main performers, William Shatner and Ricardo Montalban, as they play a game of galactic chess, as one tries to outwit the other. Great direction from Nick Meyer as he adds references of Moby Dick into the story. The down side is that this is a darker Trek movie, much like Search For Spock, and it contains a few scenes that are violent, more then you would normally see in a Star Trek movie.' It shows that Harve Bennet's vision of Star Trek was somewhat different then Gene Roddenberry's view of it. Story by Harve Bennett and Jack B. Sowards.Screenplay by Jack B. Review: This is the only star Trek movie or episode you need to see. It captures perfectly what fans loved about the character "James T. Kirk". BTW: I NEED a DVD version for my collection. So cut one already!

Summary: Can't think what to put here.
Review: Without doubt the best of the early Star Trek films, certainly worlds ahead of the Slow-Motion Picture. Khan is excellently sinister, the plot is well-written and the characters are better than ever. It's true that the chase scenes later on become weary after a while, but the nail-biting climax and tear-jerking ending more than make up for this. A must-see for anybody interested in sci-fi films. Excellent!

Summary: A crackerjack "Star Trek" adventure!
Review: This is perhaps the best "Star Trek" movie, with a terrific plot, exciting battles and a heart-tugging ending. To top it off it features Ricardo Montalaban's reprise of one of Trek's grandest villian of all, the ruthless and terrifying Khan, as well as the appearance of Kirk's former flame and their grown-up son. This movie kicks off a trio of interconnected Trek films, which together make for one of the most memorable screen series of all time.
