Summary: Having money never meant having class, here is an example..
Review: Ozzy appears to be drunk and stupid 99% of the time, it looks like he might suffer a massive heart attack at any moment. Sharon (mom) has the vocab of a woman married to a burned out rocker from the 70's, oh that's what she is. And WOW she's a reality queen now. Jack (son) is a chubby kid who has serious depression issues. Look at what he deals with on a daily basis. Kelly (daughter) looks like a resident from an adult daycare, not someone who should be covering Madonna songs. Do these kids believe that their living in reality? Spending daddy's money and living a fake existence is not reality. The dogs need to stay in the back yard, the voiding of the bowels in the house gets tiresome after the first episode. Lets change the subject.. All you Mtv-ERS out there that live for this.. GET A LIFE! Stop spying on this disfunctional family, it's wrong to laugh at others misforture. Oh and don't get mad at me for telling the truth, somebody has to do it.

Summary: Ozzy sold out.
Review: First of all this isn't a DVD that reflects ozzy as an artist. This is a DVD which shows Ozzy as he normally is, an old drunk who once were huge. Who wants to get to know his psyched family and their pathetic envirement. Much of the material seems faked and the whole project is just stupid. Ozzy should have taken the chance to end his fantastic career with the live and loud dvd. Now he is just a circus atraction being shown public because that he is so stupid and so very doped. And what about his bitchy daughter, she is famous just because of her name. Go and buy everything sabbath and ozzy made until 1993. This is a waste of money and a waste of time.

Summary: Best reality TV ever
Review: This DVD has it all. I have always loved Ozzy's music, but the TV show opens up many new (and unexpected) sides to the Oz himself. It is everything: frustrating, hilarious, touching, offensive, and tounge in cheek. Some say Ozzy has sold out...he sells out alright, again and again and again. He sells out because his fans love him, and I am included in this group. Ozzy's music is genius at times, and this show is a fun watch. However, they mean it when they say uncensored...NOT FOR KIDS...but the DVD does come with the option that allows the bad language to be bleeped out like on TV.

Summary: Oddly Addictive
Review: I admit it.
I had no interest in this show and never watched it.

A rainy Saturday afternoon while flipping pages in the Amazon DVD section I saw a couldn't pass it up price, said what the heck, and bought The 1st season of The Osbournes. I fully expected to watch it once, dislike it then give it to my nephew.

Wrong!
I am totally addicted. The nephew is not getting this DVD.

Do yourself a favor and get past the semantics. This is a fun, loving family who have created a show that is a joy to watch.
I am old enough to remember the Loud Family on PBS in the early '70's. This, is nothing like that! The Louds were about lack of communication and unhappiness. The Osbournes all speak their minds and are a happy and devoted family.

I have already put in my advance order for the 2nd season.

Ha!

Summary: the misfit family draws a bigger low*
Review: Everybody thinks just because I was an obsessive Ozzy Osbourne fan back in 7th grade, I would be so excited for this very unintelligent show called "The Osbournes, however they were wrong. This show has a severe case of overateditis. Actually, the only good aspect about this show is that it shows what people who do drugs on a weekly or monthly basis will be like in thirty years, walking-talking zombies.
I grew up with Ozzy's music from a rock 'n' roll-like family, but I knew Ozzy had the biggest ego of all time (coming from a guy that bites off bat's and pigeon' heads over being drunk). He has an even bigger ego than pop-gone-bad Steven Tyler and solo-gone-bad David Lee Roth.
Ozzy Osbourne has influenced and inspired a lot of bands we see today. To put it more lightly, Black Sabbath created heavy metal. If it weren't for Ozzy and crew, who knows whom we would be idolizing now.
But creating an "in-your-face, we-are-rich-and-stupid, you're-not" show is a little less than creative. However, I do give MTV credit. It's about time they actually do something that involves some form of music since they usually do shows like "Road Rules" or "Real World", which defeats what MTV is about and stands for. But a show displaying real intelligence could be much better.
Imagine Martin Scorsese directing an episode of "Undressed". That would be more entertaining then seeing an episode of "The Osbournes". Come on. If you have a bunch of cameraman all around your house, wouldn't you act a little less than ordinary? That's what makes the show unrealistic. If you had hidden cameras all around the house, maybe it would work out.
Some of our rock legends even disagree about this new chapter in Ozzy's life. "I think it's a shame because I think Ozzy is being laughed at," Alice Cooper said during an interview on a radio station. "And, really, what does that kind of television say about our society?"
Even "Uncle" Ted Nugent said during a TV interview, "[The Osbournes display] an indictment to the soullessness of modern man that we get a kick out of witnessing a magnificent creature reduced to a blithering, hopeless idiot." Ouch!
If that's not enough, what gives Sharon Osbourne the right to insult Ozzy, her family, and rock 'n' roll as a whole? This business deal Sharon made isn't a good one, since she is the brains of the already gone brain cells of Ozzy Osbourne. She has made her family now commercialized to a point where it's not about rock 'n' roll anymore, it's about their riches.
I went to "The Merry Mayhem Tour" last year at this time, and was never so excited for a concert as I was back then. But three months later when the first season premiered, I flat out lost all respect for the guy. While others who aren't even Ozzy fans are getting into this show, I hate it. The only reason why I watch it is to see what crazy thing Ozzy will do next. Other than that, I think I'd rather watch a toilet flush, since it has that same-effect.
For being a devoted fan over the years, that says a lot. I would rather see a movie version of Ozzy's life from the days of the slaughterhouse back in the 1960s to the days of Randy Rhoads death back in the early 1980s. That would at least be more tasteful than what is shown of Ozzy Osbourne. If this show teaches kids anything, it's to say "no" to drugs.

Summary: Sharon Osbourne Rocks
Review: The Osbournes are the coolest family on TV. When I watch it I have to turn on the Ozzy translator because he mummbles so much you can barely understand him. My favorite episode is when Sharon threw the ham in to her neighbors yard. Ozzy and Sharon should wash Kelly's and Jack's mouth out with soap due to the fact the way they talk to their parents
