Summary: Absolutely the BEST movie I have ever seen
Review: I rented this movie, since I've always been a fan of medieval-type movies...but this was not what I expected at all. I never really knew much about the history of France in the Dark Ages, or Joan of Arc, and was I in for a treat. Leelee Sobieski portrays the young martyr in such a way, just looking at the expressions on her face, you actually believe that she is Joan of Arc. I was so moved by the performances of Leelee and the supporting cast in this film, that I've watched it 4 times in the last week. The greatest thing about this movie, though...was I actually LEARNED something about history. I would like to point out that the DVD version has about 30 minutes of footage cut from the VHS version. If you've got a DVD player, definately get the DVD version.

Review: This 'JOAN OF ARC' is a TRIUMPH!! In the midst of all the "garbage" being promoted as entertainment these days, here is a movie that is not only highly entertaining, but one that will truly inspire the viewers! While the story is simple, the passion that LeeLee Sobieski pours into this role brings the character to life again! I was familiar with LeeLee from her previous roles in various movies, but none had the impact of this one! I will forever be a fan of hers from now on! Also impressive, the fact that this movie is not sold on sex, high-tech special effects, nor four-letter words! My 10-year old and 16-year old enjoyed this film equally as much as myself and my spouse! It's pure family entertainment WITH VALUES!! You will be inspired afresh and anew!

Review: This story is wonderful. Leelee Sobieski did an outstanding portrayal of Joan of Arc. Every time I see this movie I am left feeling inspired...and with a yearning to be the brave person Joan was. My only complaint is that they left out a few parts, which was disappointing, especially in the trial. But otherwise, this movie is brilliant. I highly recommend it.

Review: LeeLee Sobieski shines as Joan of Arc. Her performance in this movie made me an instant fan of hers. She is, no doubt, one of the brightest young stars in hollywood at this moment. What a great actress. It's almost as if this role was made for her. The movie was wonderful in everyway with edge of your seat action and heartfelt moments that will bring tears to your eyes. Review: This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Joan of Arc was played perfectly by LeeLee Sobieski. I only have one complaint about the movie and that is the part where Joan of Arc is telling the guard to get away from her. You will know what part I am talking about when you see it. Anyways It made me think if that really happened, So now I am on a quest to find out if it happened.

Summary: A realistic portrayal of a Christian giant
Review: It's very difficult, when looking at Joan of Arc, to separate the truth from the hundreds of myths, but this portrayal by LeeLee Sobieski is as close as we can get. Some things were left out, particularly in the trial, but a brilliant work nonetheless. While Joan would be a fairly easy character to portray, Sobieski plays the part with such a passion and fire that Joan literally comes to life again. Truly tremendous stuff that keeps the central focus of Joan's life in the foreground continually.

Review: A well choosen cast. Leelee Sobieski played the part with such feeling. I really felt I was there and a part of it. The music of Charlotte Church is unforgettable and up lifting.

Review: Only one other movie has stirred me (The Thornbirds) so much. The cinemetography and the actors chosen to portray the characters in this story of the legendary French heroine are feats so rare, big screen "suits" should take notice. This movie could not have been done any better, even if everyone involved were asked to do it again! The passion in Leelee Sobieski's eyes, evident by the great camera angles, as she tried to tempt fate, made me realize the conviction of her character.
