Rating: Summary: Not That Great Review: Am I mising something?. Chris Rock isn't that funny. He's more annoying than anything else. Not worth any time.
Rating: Summary: An "educated" reply to a review by someone Review: Amazing stand up... Chris Rock is straight fire, but I wrote this as a reply to "A stand-up comic "unjimbobob" because he seems to actually be a racist. Who are you kidding, Dave Chappelle?! You cant compare the two. If it werent for people like Rihard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock, Chappelle wouldnt exist. An if you thought C.R. is a racist and takes advantage of the black people white people routine, then how the hell can you not think Pryor was crude, and this is coming from a black man. I loved Pryor, but sometimes his material was shockingly crude, yet funny, and the same could be said for C.R. maybe its bugging you so much because the stuff he says about white pople might be getting under your skin, I dont know. Anyway, not to get off topic, I honestly think you are biased against Chris Rock, and so should keep your hateful views to yourself.
classic stand up material from Rock, especially the Clinton comments and how we men cant escape women throwing themselves at us, which was exactly what happened to Clinton.
Rating: Summary: This guy is really funny. Review: As with most comedians, sometimes I felt that he went a little too far with his subjects (a child-molester uncle?!), but when he made me laugh, he really made me laugh. In fact, while I was watching this, my asthma starting acting up and I couldn't catch my breath, but I couldn't stop laughing. To give him his due credit, even when I thought we went too far, he still was making me laugh; and while I was never actually rolling on the floor, I did wobble often.
Rating: Summary: Could be better Review: At the beginning you will really like it. The first time you see it you will probly laugh till ur eyes milk. LoL. But when you see it for the 5th or so time, the jokes are old to you, you can recite them all and its just not any fun. Get the audio cd. It is a lot better. It has songs on it too. If you must get the DVD, you will not be dissapointed. It's just not something that you will want to watch over and over.

Rating: Summary: Rock On! Review: Chris Rock follows up his 1996 hit "Bring the Pain" with another hilarious 1-hr routine. As always, Chris serves up his brutally honest opinions on the social and political nightmares we live in today. In this performance you'll find him tackling school gun violence, the plight of Native Americans, Ricky Martin, delinquent parents, racism, police brutality, incurable diseases, taxes, and a host of other issues. What makes Chris Rock so hilarious is that his commentary not only rings true but hits upon feelings and thoughts most of us have but are often afraid to express in today's "politically correct" atmosphere. Plus, Chris' naturally funny-looking physical appearance adds color to his performance. As with many other comedians, Chris Rock ends up spending a great deal of time on cliche comedian fodder such as sex and man-woman relationships. Thankfully, Chris Rock has managed to avoid tired old jokes and put hilarious new spins on these topics. If you want intelligent comedy, this is the video for you! However, be forewarned that Chris Rock has a penchant for using the "f" word when emphasizing points, which some may find annoying after a while, and he is bound to say something that may offend someone. Nonetheless, I think that's what makes Chris Rock great and universal. Although Chris caters to an African-American audience, he ultimately has ideas that speaks to all segments of society- conservatives, liberals, white/black/asian/latino, homosexual, religious, non-religious, etc. A view that one segment of society finds appealing is bound to be held in disdain by another. I must admit, in the past year that I've become a Chris Rock fan, I've found it difficult to watch other comedians. Few are as hard-hitting as Chris Rock. Get this video to see what I mean! While you are at it, get "Bring the Pain"- this one packs even more punch than "Bigger and Blacker".

Rating: Summary: Halarious!! Review: Chris Rock is halarious. I love his joke about how blind people should get midgets instead of dogs. Quote : "Uh, Dr. I'm blind. What You Got? 'Why don't you take this dog and have the dog drag your blind a@# around town'. That's all you got is a da(m dog. Man, if I could see, I'd whoop yo' a@@. Come on. Give me a midget or somethin'. That's right. Blind people should get midgets. It's already hard enough being blind. Now you gotta learn how to talk dog. You can't see so you can't read the dog's lips. 'Woof. Woof'. 'What, my shoelaces untied?' 'Woof! Woof!' What? Is it cold outside? What muthaf$$$$, what?' If you a midget, it's already hard enought 2 get a job. Just be a seeing eye man. All you gotta say is 'Yo, brotha. You gotta make a left.'" That was the best joke on this dvd. This is a must own 4 any Chris Rock fan!!
