Summary: Started off slow
Review: I've read a lot of reviews where people said Season 5 is not all that great. Well it does start off slow. I guess they got thrown off by Sarah's pregnancy. When I watched the first DVD of Season 5 I was not all that impressed. But by the end of of the DVD I had episodes I laughed at.
anchors away - was rather dull

unoriginal sin - was okay, but still did not wow me

luck be an old lady - This episode made me laugh. The scene when they told off the guy in the casino.....I kept watching that scene over and over. Also is it me, but Miranda seems to have lost some of her spunk after giving birth. Because the old Miranda would have told that guy off!!!

cover girl - my favorite episode on the DVD.

Summary: I Love A Charade
Review: I tend to think I am a lot of things in life. But ultimately I am the brown eyed Boston girl with one exception; I hate the Boston Red Sox. I watch Sex and the City because I feel as though I was switched at birth, I feel that NYC is my home. This has to do with my Yankees obsession and my love of Fifth Avenue.
I will not dispute that this season was too short however it was still full of the same smart witty oneliners and plots that I not only know but love. My favorite is I Love A Charade because I feel a part of someone's wedding charade. I take great pleasure in the fact that I am living this episode only it is not over in 24 minutes but ends in August when 'L' marries 'M'. We collectively know it will not last but something within us all wants it to last and want L to be happy.
I cannot stand in the way of someone's happiness even if I do not agree with it. I think we would all play along with the sad and distrubing picture of L's wedding than tell her she is wrong. She is all about be in an and relationship and making we appointments. I am not one for this because this city girl values fashion, Newbury Street, walks in the Charles and lives in the Fens. I am independent and find great comfort in the comfort of my friends. So in the grand scheme of things I conclude with a toast.
I tip my apple martini to that episode for relationships that have a bit of hope, for singeltons on the dance floor and for the lilacs and butterflies that add beauty to the city that never sleeps and to her, the city girl within us all.

Summary: Way Way over-priced!
Review: I agree that it was an ok season....and since I want the entire series I must buy Season 5, but my gosh..... why pay so much for so less??????

Summary: It's good!
Review: I didn't give this season a 5 because of its shortness. I wasn't expecting much since most the reviewers did not enjoy this season as much as other ones. However, I managed to laugh and aww through all eight episode even though I didn't plan to. Granted, this was a recovery (or rebuilding) season: Carrie's breakup, Miranda's pregnancy, Sam's 'love', and Charlotte's separation/divorce. To me, this season was realistic and deep, a transition phase that you have to appreciate. The characters grew, and as a viewer I felt like I was right there with them. (...) If you're looking for lots of sex scenes and multiple partners, then this isn't the season for you. But if you love the four girls and want to keep following their lives, this isn't something you want to miss.

Summary: My 4 Friends
Review: Yet another triumphant season for a show I saddly miss and love.
Every episode in this series lives up to and surpasses the shows premise & my expectations.

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS DVD
Review: I also love Sex and the City, but after this season, I know why they decided to only go for one more. I don't know what happened, but this season failed to spark any interest. I must have forgot how boring it was when I bought it. A friend and I sat at home one night, and unfortunately wasted hours of time on this DVD. My reccomendation is to wait for the 6th season...you aren't missing anything!

Summary: Sex & The City the complete fifth season
Review: ... I thought this is one of the best seasons it may be short but the girls are single and when they are single they have the best stories, it may have been a little to much money for two discs but i enjoyed every minute.

Summary: Rip-off? So What!?!?
Review: ...>I have seen worse and anyway, Season 5 might have its flaws but it's not THAT bad.

The only thing I hate about all the releases are the stupid, unpractical keep cases. They look cheapish and they do not protect the discs properly (dust can get inside the case, etc) and it is a pain to get the discs out.

But anyway, I will always love Sex and the City forever and ever and ever and ever and ever.

Summary: this is my favorite season!
Review: ok, I know alot of people are bad mouthing this season, mainly due to the high price or the fact of how short it was. But these reviews arent meant to talk about the price, it's meant to review the season.

It was short, but oh so sweet. The plot's werent really there, but that's what i liked. It was four girlfriends this season, without much male drama. I think it had the best comedy ever. And plus i am a huge carrie and burger fan. And this is when she met buger. And i love charlote and hary together and this is were they meant. And samatha babysitting merinda's baby was the best!!!!

And perhphas the best reason i love this season is the zazazue!!! i love that love. if for no other reason buy it for that one, because belive me it's worth it!!!

Summary: Sex and The City Season 5 Short but sweet
Review: I like the zillions of others across the world am a huge fan of Sex and The City. Not having HBO, I discovered the series through word of mouth and then via rentals at the video store. Season 5 was short but sweet and with the pregnancies of both Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker, was there much more that the producers could do than offer up eight episodes?! What if they had decided no season at all? God we'd have all been in mini therapy groups! So let's not complain and take what we can get girls cuz eight episodes were better than nothing! WHERE MY CHIEF COMPLAINT does come in is the exorbitantly high price of the DVD set. Come on HBO lighten up a bit! Two discs with only four episodes on each can surely be priced @ $15-$20 tops! As for me,since I've rented season five on DVD, I'll wait until the passing of time and the eventual lower price I'll find in a used copy.
