Summary: Wonderful show, closed captions turned on
Review: This is an excellent series. We have enjoyed the information and style of presentation. We have been reminded of a lot that we had forgetten since living through the actual events. It is great to have it all in context. By the way, the videos we saw had Closed Captions, which we have turned on on our TV.

Summary: This is something that cannot be express but EXPERIENCE!
Review: I was born in 1976 and thus had not experience the journey from the earth to the moon first hand. Being able to experience this great endeavour by way of 'FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON' has made me even more appreciative of the lengths at which MAN HAS EVOLVED. For the men that made it possible to travel to the moon there is not enough gratitude in the world that I and others like me could ever express!

I think 'FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON' should be a part of everyone's lives, it not only teaches about the enormous ability of man to accomplish that which was once thought impossible. It shows us also that as great as we are capable of being we will nevertheless always be vunerable and thus subject to mistakes, but it is mistakes and learning from them that leads us to the path of success and that which is great!

Get this video! It will change the way you look at yourself and man FOREVER!

Summary: Wonderful for hearing people, crappy for others....
Review: I lived during this time, and I well remember the excitement of watching the space program at that time. Alas, I can't get that excitement back from watching this otherwise excellent series. Why? Because I'm deaf, and because HBO, even though it spent oodles of money on producing this series, continued its long-time habit of ignoring deaf audiences and didn't spend the extra pittance to provide closed captions on these videos. About 3 million Americans are getting shut out of Hank's loving tribute to Project Apollo because of this short-sighted attitude on HBO's part. If you care about those things, please write to HBO and express your indignation, and maybe, just maybe, HBO will see fit to close-caption this great series on its next reissue, opening it up to a greater audience.

Summary: Great! A must see for anyone interested in the Space Program
Review: I was born in 1978 so I missed out on the entire Apollo Program. This series showed so much that I could not find any place else. I can not count how many times I have watched this series it never gets old. The small details are great like to xenon lights used on the moon shots. I recomend this to anyone that would like to know about the behind the sceens of NASA.

Summary: INCREDIBLE! Do not miss this. Anyone will like it.
Review: Tom Hanks proves himself as an executive producer. I sat down one Saturday morning at 10am planning to watch the first part or two, but was so enthralled that I ended up watching the complete set. Hanks does an incredible job of story telling about the space program, detailing not just the technical challenges, but the political ones as well. His intermixing of historical footage and original footage is seamless and unobtrusive; a great job of story telling.

This is what television was meant to be: entertaining and educational without the violence and sensationalism. This movie is a living legacy not only to the men and women of the space program, but to Tom Hanks as a producer, and as a great human being. Well done.

Summary: A great melding of drama and history
Review: As a person who lived through this time, this was an emotional tour-de-force and a marvelous re-telling of history, well-acted and very gripping. The soundtrack truly enhanced the pictures and put you in the right frame of mind for the era depicted. I heartily recommend this mini-series!

Summary: Great insights of the NASA Space Program
Review: I saw this series on HBO in 1998 as well as the video. Living in Houston, only an hour away from NASA, I could appreciate the authenticity of the details that make this a great piece of History that can be reviewed with the family and enjoyed for years to come.

Summary: FANTASTIC!!!
Review: Very entertaining and informative. This could be used in the classroom as well as a friday night movie at home. Not quite the drama of Apollo 13 but close. I have never learned so much about the space program.
