Summary: Worth the Wait for Great Episodes
Review: The fourth season of The Simpsons has some really great episodes, including one where Homer becomes "the best mono-thingy guy there ever was". The reason it takes a while for the release is due to the fact that they want commentary for each episode and it is difficult to schedule people for these commentaries when they are in the middle of other projects and the Simpsons. I am willing to wait for this no matter how long it takes, because these are classic episodes.

Summary: Review and a question
Review: First I would like to say that this is one of the best simpson seasons ever! It includes the funniest episode where bart joins the 'Adopt a Brother' program, and replaces Homer. Also, I would like to ask a question. Does anyone know what season Weird Al Yabkovic is in?

Summary: Sell them to me before I outgrow them
Review: Hey, there was only a short window of time (about 2 years, I'd guess) that I found MAD magazine funny. The same may be true for the Simpsons. If Matt G. wants me to pay for DVDs, he better put them on the market before I outgrow them !

Summary: Taking way too long...
Review: I don't know about anyone else but I am thoroughly disappointed with Twentieth Century Fox Home Video. I love the Simpsons more than any other show, save M*A*S*H, but I am disappointed at how long it is taking Fox to release the DVDs. They've been releasing 1 a year for the past 3 years. By the time they release all the seasons, there's going to be a new type of media out and DVDs will be obsolete. I think they should release them faster and I wish there were something we could do about it. We know they can- look at how fast other sitcoms are being released! Twentieth Century Fox Home Video is also releasing M*A*S*H seasons. They started releasing them after they started with The Simpsons, and on December 9th they will begin selling Season 5!

Summary: Can't Wait!
Review: My family is hopelessly and shamelessly addicted to the Simpsons and we anxiously await the production of Season 4 DVD. I think the longer than usual wait makes it all the more exciting when the UPS man finally shows up - besides, we all know the series will inevitably end (DOH!!!) and if they only release one season per year, we'll enjoy them for that much longer! We know the Simpsons are as crude and irreverent as it gets, but come folks, isn't there a little of the Simpsons in all of us!

Summary: Wonder if
Review: I wonder if the reason they are being slow right now is because certain seasons are still in syndication and exclusive contracts and such do not allow them to release them. So i wonder if like after this year they are free and clear to just dump them out, or if they are gonna milk them for everything they are worth. If that is the case i cannot blame them, cause i know if i were in that situation i would wanna get paid :).
Just a thought on the slowness of the roll out.

Summary: Season four
Review: It is quite possible that to avoid market saturation, Twentieth Century Fox is delaying the season sets in intervals (as the first three have been done.) Still, in all fairness, it would be much easier to have month-long intervals (which seems reasonable; a shorter time schedule for the commentaries or no commentaries for certain episodes would expedite things a little.) Year-long lapses are annoying. The twelfth season had its season finale between the releases of the first and second season sets.

Also, the third season set, in attempt to outdo the first two has easter eggs that some dvd players can't even play. Hopefully they will learn from the critiques of this (one found in a Washington Post article by Jen Chaney as of now accessible at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/entertainment/movies/features/bonuspointsaugust03.htm#Simpsons) and make more accessible menus and options for the fourth season.

In short, the fourth season contains many classic episodes, like "Mr. Plow" and "Lisa's first word" (which some of you may remember had Elizabeth Taylor as the voice of Maggie.) To drive this set home, it sounds like we need a prompt release, easy navigable menus and some really funny episodes. We are guaranteed the last of these.

Summary: How long will we have to wait?
Review: (...)

Concerning the 4th season itself, it is one of the best seasons of that show part of the golden era of season 3 to 8. Not only, the characters are now fully formed and have an identity of their own, but the satire of the american family and its society in general is at its peak. So, when it will eventually come out, you can buy this box set and be sure to have a great time.

Summary: Another set of great episodes
Review: I love the Simpsons so much, and I can't wait to have all the seasons on DVD. I'll be happy once I have 1-10, but I want them all when they do come out. It's just that beyone season ten, there's only about 2 or 3 episodes I like per season. I must say that seasons 3-8 are definitly when the show was at it's best. I can't bieleve the new episodes are still coming, as it seems like they've run out of good ideas years ago.

But, enough about the current state of the show, season 4 is pure gold. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because of the slowness of the releases. At this rate I'll have seasons 1-10 in 2011. Why are they being so slow? What I heard, but I don't know if it's true, is that it's takeing so long because of adding commentary to every episode. Now, who really wants to listen to commentary on every episode? I think the majority of Simpsons fans, even the diehard fans like myself would give up most of the commmentary for a faster release schedule. At least 2 seasons per year, 3 or 4 per year would be great, but I know that's asking for too much. But, I think a season every six months would be more feasible, and that's what it seems like for most other TV shows that are being put on DVD.

Well, that's my opinion, and I think most people would agree. And if we all speak up and voice our opinions, maybee just maybee someone will listen and do what the people want.
