Summary: WHERE IS SEASON 2????????
Review: I can't add anything that hasn't already been said about the Season 1 collection. It really is as good as everyone else says it is. But...WHERE IS SEASON 2?!? I can't believe Fox would turn its back on so many people who obviously want to purchase the second season, especially since it was promised to be out months ago.

Summary: Unsurpassed.
Review: After all these years this show still makes me laugh out loud. Besides the show's classic status, I've had this set since its release, and still have not had a chance to view it all -- there are that many extras. Great packaging, great extras, and great viewing. Now, WHERE IS SEASON TWO? I just had my copy of season one out, and a card included by Fox dropped out which said to continue the collection "...with MOORE laughs from season two!" available March 2003. Ante up, please.

Summary: The Mary Tyler Moore Show-Complete First Season
Review: Oh Mary, you are now on DVD, I hope the rest of the seasons
will follow soon. Put yourself in another time, where your
biggest fault is a bad dinner party. This is a great DVD
when you want to get away from the real world.

Summary: Truly A Classic
Review: Finally on DVD, where are the rest? Arguably the best sitcom ever. All of the shows are great. One classic that some reviewers left out is "The Better Luck Next Time Club". I'm serious folks all of these episodes are great, the cast settled in very fast. Can you believe CBS almost didn't do the show, they didn't have confidence in it's producers/writers James L. Brooks and Allan Burns. Many of the shows were directed by Jay Sandrich and Alan Rafkin who brought out the best in this cast. One very important note, these shows are roughly 24 1/2 to 25 minutes long so if like me, you taped them from TV you will notice they are sometimes as much as 3 minutes shorter than the ones presented on these DVDs. They are edited on TV to squeeze in more commercials. Shame on you. I watched this show when it originally aired in 1970, I'm 45. A must DVD set for any fan, complete, unedited and clearer picture than ever before, like watching them anew. I have vague memories of the episodes I saw from it's original air date. However, comparing the syndicated shows from NBC, TBS, and TVLand, I did notice lines from the DVD that I didn't remember from the syndicated shows, funny lines that TV cut. Well folks, that's it, buy this set so they will release the rest of the seasons on DVD.

Summary: Great first season! When will the second one be released?
Review: Okay, I think we have waited long enough. A couple of other customers have also complained about when the second season will be out. It was said on the inside that it would be released in March 2003, and here it is, three months later! My wife bought this for me at Christmas time, and it was a big surprise. I never dreamed of this being given to me, nor did I ever think about owning it. I love seeing it on TV Land from time to time, but this is much better. No commercials, and no grainy images.

With all of that said, please MTM, release that second season!

Summary: Great Collection
Review: This is how TV shows should be released -- one season at a time (i hate the way the Twilight Zone has been released ... almost randomly).

Nothing can be said about this show that hasn't already been said. It is one of the finest shows on television ever. The quality of this DVD is excellent, making for a very enjoyable viewing time.

Just buy it.

Summary: Season 2
Review: I too am disappointed with Fox not having released the second season which they promised for March 2003. I emailed them last week and received this not too encouraging reply:
*************
At this time, Fox has no planned release date for MTM Season 2. Please fell free to contact me in three months, at that time I will have received an updated release schedule.
Thank you,

Summary: Mary Tyler Moore Season 2 might not make it after all
Review: Mary Tyler Moore Season one was entertaining but it pales in comparison to future classic episodes in upcoming seasons. It is a shame that Fox does not recognize that and seems to be giving up far too early on a wonderful show. Unfortunately, after e-mailing a Fox representative I received the folowing reply, "At This time, Fox has no release date for Mary Tyler Moore Season 2." I'll do my best to change their minds.

Summary: more seasons please
Review: I think the later seasons of this show are much better. I don't know about everyone else- maybe some people prefer this season. But, if this season isn't selling well, keep in mind some people are just waiting for the better seasons- like me. So, to whomever is making these dvds- please release the later seasons.

Summary: Season 2 Coming Soon
