Rating: Summary: FOX-Shame on you!!!!!!!! Review: This DVD box set is absolutely fabulous!!! Someone please tell me how a show that still holds the record for EMMY wins-A RECORD 29 Emmys is still the show to beat and FOX has decided that is too much money and not enough sales of the DVD out there to warrant releasing the other seasons!!!Do we need to do a "March on FOX" to get anyone to listen?!! Sheer stupidity on the part of the these Execs!! To all of you out there who are a fan of the show-buy a copy of the Season 1 box set so that they can see the jump in sales and see that there is a demand out there!!! A lot of today's shows are utter garbage!! It's hard to top a show with this kind of quality actors and writing. Shame on you FOX for turning a deaf ear to our requests!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Please sir, can I have some more????? Review: Just release season 2 already!!!!!!!!!!! The best show on T.V. can't be limited to just one season's release!
Rating: Summary: RELEASE THE REST OF THEM! Review: This particular set, Season One, is beautifully produced and first class all the way. The studio claims it was too expensive to make and turn a profit, so they've scrapped all plans to release any of the other seasons. While I would love the rest of the series in boxed sets as nice as this one, I'd rather just have the other episodes in less lavish sets with no extras, if the alternative is nothing at all. I hope the studio can find some way of releasing the rest of the series. Even a "Best Of" compilation would be nice, for now. It's arguably the greatest TV series ever created. It's sad that the bottom line is preventing it from living on in DVD.
Rating: Summary: AT LAST! Review: I am so incredibly happy to see this wonderful show on DVD. It was so fun to see again. The only frustrating part about it, is that I haven't seen any additional seasons produced on DVD. What are they waiting for????
Rating: Summary: Fox MTM website hasn't been updated for ages Review: Sorry TJ from Boston. Fox cares about as much for thier MTM website as they do for thier MTM customers. None! They have not changed thier site for probably since they released season one with a promise of season two. I am beginning to wonder if the only way to get it through thier thick heads is to boycott Fox products all together.
Rating: Summary: All of the Other Seasons Please! Review: MTM is a classic and season 1 is awesome and really should have all 7 seasons on DVD So please get a move on it and make it happen!
Rating: Summary: MTM -- Season 2 is on the way Review: Can't say enough about the season 1 of Mary Tyler Moore -- excellent reproduction with great extras. A lot of effort went into producing this great DVD. The official web site for Fox for MTM http://www2.foxhome.com/mtm/ announces that Season 2 is on its way and details will be released soon. Hooray!!! Can't wait for season two of this great show. Thanks Fox!
Rating: Summary: Me too!` Review: I too am an MTM fan who has been waiting almost an entire year for season 2 (promised almost an entire year ago). I loved this show. This, "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Laverne and Shirley" are my all-time favorite TV shows. They were actually funny.
Rating: Summary: Look at our numbers, for goodness sake !! Review: Clearly, when you look at how many people have logged-in here to write a review to complain about the lack of a release of "MTM" following season 1, it's evident there's a significant, eager market for the show, so I find it hard to believe that the season 1 DVD release was just the bomb of all bombs. Even if the numbers weren't spectacular, older shows rarely are going sell wildly (unless there's a big-movie/remake tie-in) and they know that. (I sort of wonder if the gently snarly comments made in the "Making of..." disc included with the season 1 release, tossing pebbles at CBS, ticked anybody off?) Who knows? All I know is that a WHOLE BUNCH of us seem to be registering our feelings about wanting more "Mary", according to THESE numbers!!
Rating: Summary: Are we only getting Season 1? Review: I bought this DVD set under the impression the rest of the seasons would follow, but there has been nothing in almost one and half years. Some of the worst series to ever grace our tv screens have been released on DVD, but the best of all we just might never see on DVD. I don't get it.
