Summary: Worthwhile Action Series
Review: I bought it after it being on my recommended list, almost definitly becuase I bought the first three 'Buffy' DVD sets. This show has more action and more sci-fi than 'Buffy', and Jessica Alba is hotter than Sarah Michelle Gellar, but not as good an actress. The writing, characters, acting, and dialog are not quite up to the level of 'Buffy'. They do try to flesh out the characters, such as the gang at Jam Pony (I really wanted to see Normal get laid - not necessarly on camera). I was also disappointed to see that Lydecker isn't really in the second season - he was one of my favorite characters.

Summary: a cross between Max Headroom and the Matrix (b-version)
Review: That's the best way I can describe it. I never watched it when it aired, was kinda glad when they took it off and never missed it, until now. It just looked so dumb when advertised that I figured the show had to be empty. But it wasn't at all. There were some really solid episodes. I do admit, the show is weak in certain areas and probably 4 instead of five stars, but the entertainment vector is still very high. Scenario: In the near future, the military uses a biotechnology company called Manticore to create super human DNA by mixing it with shark, cat, wolf, etc. and then raising the children created to become super-soldiers (hence some matrix like abilities). While escaping, half of the child soldiers are killed and the other half are on the run forever. Dark Angel lives in Seattle, and with the help of "Eyes-only" is trying to find the others who made it out. Eyes-only is a philanthropist crusader (the son of a rich man) who teams up with Angel for mutual benefit. Social services have broken down after "the pulse", an electromagnetic weapon that reduced the United States to the Stone Age overnight. As a broke, ex-super-power, there is debris in the streets and military checkpoints everywhere. So, basically there's the future angle, the apocalyptic angle and the bio-engineered super human angle, which is nice. And, there are some great, ruthless bad-guys that are actually smart and do some very clever things to get back their "kids". All in all, I was really impressed. The writing and characters are truly solid, the budget lacked a little but the imagination made up for it. It's a shame we'll never get more.

Summary: Sci-fi like it should be
Review: This series rocked! What made this work so well, besides the good acting, the chemistry between the leads, and the great storylines was that Max could be beaten. She had a weakness. Good sci-fi has characters that are infalliable. Who wants to see someone who can never be defeated. It is unfortunate that the series was cancelled and we'll never know if Max and Logan will ultimately get together. Nonetheless, I really dug the first season and highly recommend it. It's good romantic sci-fi.

Summary: Deserved Cancellation
Review: Awful and stupid junk about a supergirl and her wheelchair bound boyfriend (THAT sure was clever!). Alba can't act out of a paper bag, and the writing is cheesier than a Lifetime made-for-TV movie. Stupid junk, undeserving DVD release.

Summary: One of the best series ever!
Review: "Dark Angel" was one of the best series ever made (and probably the best show on fox to date). The characters were perfectly picked (no one could have played a better Max than Jessica Alba did). The Chemistry between the characters was perfect, and the only reason why the show was cancelled was b/c corperate fat cats don't know what they're doing. I highly recomend this show to anyone. And after the 2nd season is released, I also highly recomend you read Max Collin's "Dark Angel: Skin Game" and then "Dark Angel: After the Dark" to answer all the questions you'll have. Get this series people you wont regret it!!

Review: Excellent box set. A must have for any fan and great television for anyone that hasn't seen it. You get hooked. James Cameron is a genius. Also, this show had the best supporting cast I've seen in a long time. Original and diverse. I miss the show and long for a conclusion. Buy it TODAY!!! --Don't forget about the books either. Great reading--

Summary: Finally! A box set worth the money!
Review: I latched onto Dark Angel as soon as it was broadcast, and watched until the bitter end of the 2nd season. I'm glad to see they put together a quality box set with commentary that actually means something and good bloopers.
All Dark Angel fans must own this set, as well as the second season that is about to come out. This is just one of the best box sets from the top to the bottom. The menus are easy to navigate as well as easy to find the exact scene you want to see. (I found the water heater falling through the floor this way!)
This box set brings a smart, funny, awesome show to a whole new audience who will hopefully, give it more consideration than the original executives at Fox did!

Review: Dark Angel stars my most favorite actress in the world-Jessica Alba-which is one of the reasons why i bought this season for DVD. Not that im just a Jessica Alba fan, i am also a dark Angel fan, the DVDs include alot of my favorite episodes such as, Heat, Red, Rising, and alot more. Jessica shows her acting ability along with her stunning beauty at its best! so if your a true Jessica Alba fan like me (AKA Albaholic) then you shoul go out and buy it! or just simply order it online.

Review: I am a huge fan of the show. I in fact still have the last ep of season 2 on tape. I kept it to last me through the summer until the next season. But then i got the news the show was cancled. Now all i have are the books and this dvd set which i compleatly love. The dvd is perfect for any dark angel fan.
