Summary: Our whole family LOVES this groovy video!
Review: A trip down memory lane, for those of us who grew up in the 60's. Lots of fun even for those who weren't even around in the 60's: Upbeat songs, great costumes, dancing and choreography. We love seeing those groovy 60's fashions and their bright colors, too. Also--the bonus RC Cola commercials throughout are a fun nostalgic trip (they just don't make commercials like thye used to!)

Our entire family loves watching and singing along with this video and has done so many, many times!!

Summary: Classy pre-MTV special bound for cult status
Review: After much begging and pleading by her fans, Nancy Sinatra has finally released her 1967 Emmy-winning special "Movin' with Nancy" on video and DVD. Containing an amazing soundtrack, first-rate guests, and classic '60s fashions, this campy, classy special has the potential - now that it is being exposed to a new generation of Nancy fans - to maintain cult status.

From the very first glimpse of those legendary boots stepping out the front door, to the recording studio where we witness daddy Frank crooning a tune as only he can, to an abandoned amusement park that comes alive by Nancy's presence, "Movin'" is a fantastic, exciting hour of entertainment.

Made in the days before MTV, and the expensive, high-tech music video, (when shows like "Ed Sullivan" were the only ways to hear your favorite artists sing their hit songs) this fast-paced show contains some of the '60s guiltiest of pleasures in terms of music. Nancy's vocals are tops and her performance commendable (she was nominated for a Golden Globe) as she sings and swings through such classics as "Sugar Town," "Up, Up and Away," "Some Velvet Morning," "Jackson" (both with Lee Hazlewood), "What'd I Say" (with Sammy Davis, Jr.) and "Things" (with Dean Martin).

As a bonus, this digitally-remastered classic features two RC Cola commercials with our lady singing the jingle ("it's a mad, mad, mad, mad cola"), and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the making of "Movin'" with voice-overs by Nancy and director Jack Haley, Jr. (who won an Emmy for this).

Summary: A visual feast of the mod 60's era, with classic style!
Review: After viewing this remastered video, "Moving With Nancy", I was really pleased at the quality of the images, the sound, and the eclectic music selections geared towards the adult listener with roots based in the mod 60's. If you are a Nancy Sinatra fan, then this is definitely going to be an excellent addition to your DVD collection - if, however, you have no clue who Nancy Sinatra is, then don't bother, unless you marvel at the cool mod 60's styling of clothes, cars, and hair styles. Wonderful appearances by legends such as Dean Martin, "Daddy Frank" himself, and other stars of that era, make this a worthwhile purchase. Also tremendously enjoyable, believe it or not, are the really cool mod "R.C. Cola" ads that are performed by Nancy and her guests. It's the MAD MAD MAD MAD COLA - RC! Finally, JUST THE FACT THAT A VIDEO OF THIS HIGH QUALITY EVEN EXISTS FROM THAT ERA makes it worth owning for those who love the mod 60's! Take a step back into the mod 60's, and enjoy "Moving With Nancy"! :)

Summary: A NANCY SINATRA TOUR DE FORCE
Review: After waiting years to finally get a chance to view this special, all I can say is it is well worth the wait. Nancy Sinatra shines in this well produced video montage special. It is a rare treat to see this special and that has the RC Cola commercials fully in tact. From a pop culture point of view, it is amazing to see Nancy's array of smashing JAX outfits. She even showed her orange jackect when she hosted her AMC Movin' special. This is an absolute treasure for any Nancy fanatic. I especially liked the "This Town" and "Jackson" numbers. Put on your boots and run don't walk to get this one!

Summary: Forget the camp
Review: Buy this DVD for one reason; Frank singing "Younger than Springtime" to his daughter Nancy. Here is a man at the pinnacle of his profession, in marvelous voice, floating through a beautifully arranged song. An added bonus is that we get to see the recording process as the song is sung and later played back to Frank and Nancy in the recording studio. Man, you just feel like you are part of the process. I can here the Chairman himself probably saying, "Coo Coo baby."

Summary: WOULD YOU LIKE TO RIDE?
Review: From the moment you start to watch this AMAZING SPECIAL to the very end, you will be completely satisfied. It's like "The Twilight Zone" with music, you have no control over it. For those of you who say, Sinatra, "Nancy"? YES. . . she shines and proves herself a talent not to be taken so lightly, as so many do. This has to be one of the best, very best, moments captured on tape of any performer. One can only hope, she will also release her second special, "Movin' With Nancy,ON STAGE" in the near future. It's nice to be groovin' and MOVIN' WITH NANCY again. ENTERTAINMENT AT IT'S BEST!

Summary: NANCY, FRANK, DINO, SAMMY... MEANS ENTERTAINMENT
Review: Great show, historical show ! If you are a Nancy fan, Sinatra fan, Dino fan or Sammy fan then you should buy this DVD. And if you are a Nancy fan, it is a must for you. So many Nancy hits including boots. This time her boots are made for flying.. She starts his show in a balloon. Even Frank Sinatra, Jr. is there. Very entertaining, particularly the part where she sings "Things" with Dean Martin. There is a clip showing Sinatra in studio. Nancy enters and watches her father. So intimate !! And original ads flavor the whole show... I strongly recommend it.

Summary: Pre Dawn Delights
Review: I first caught Movin' With Nancy on AMC's Pop Culture. I seemed to be intrigued every minute that passed. What I was watching was the predecessor to television videos (watch out MTV). A plus for any retro fan.
