Summary: Well Worth It!
Review: Yes the mini-series is long and a bit pricey, but it is well worth it! This has become my favorite movie, ever. Jennifer Ehle's portrayal of Elizabeth Darcy transformed this character for me. I had read the novel many times before watching the movie. After seeing her I had to go back and reread it again. She truely shined in this role. And Colin Firth's facial expressions during the infamous proposal scene! Priceless! If you are a true Austen fan, this is a must see.

Summary: BEST MOVIE EVER
Review: I'm a Jane Austen fan and this movie is very loyal to the book. I had seen the BBC version, and the DVD is even better as it contains extra scenes that make it even more enjoyable. I'd give more than 5 stars if it were possible.

Summary: It hard to rate it this low but . . .
Review: As many people have already said - this is a series than can be enjoyed over, and over again. I wore out my VHS copy and was delighted to find it on dvd. Hooray! 1 copy for the duration. however, and this is why I gave it only four stars. The quality of the dvd is below average. My VHS copy had a much more crisp picture. This dvd is faded and washed out. I have to adjust the brightness on my tv just to get a decent picture. That being said, I will still watch it many many times. 10 stars for the series, 2 for the dvd quality.

Summary: Quite simply...perfect
Review: What can I say that hasn't been said a hundred times? This is a wonderful movie. The chracters live because of the actors' excellent portrayals and Darcy and Elizabeth shine. My only regret is that I cannot watch this movie for the first time all over again. A great work!!

Summary: Jane Austen's Best!
Review: I love this movie! I watch it whenever I feel down and it picks me right up. My mom and I have designated "Pride & Predjiduce" weekends. We both agree that it is wonderful film. It is pretty long, but worth the time! If you like the movie, go for the book and/or any other of Jane Austen's works. Now if only I could find myself a "Mr. Darcy"...

Summary: A Must for the Romantic
Review: This one is for keeps! You will have no trouble watching it over, and over, and over again. Miraculously it stands the test of time and fortitude. So many romantic films are only tolerable for viewing once or twice, but not this one: Each time you view it you can find new nuances and acting gems. The acting is superb and the lush scenery only enhances what is already a masterpiece in cinematography. Run -- don't walk -- to get this one. It's the kind of production that leaves you wanting for more.

Review: I like the actors and actresses in this movie. It is wholesome. There is no violence, and I never tire of watching it.

Summary: * * * * * * * * * * (Ten stars!)
Review: When watching this, how many of you have wanted to slap that silly Lydia? Or to tell Mrs. Bennet to quite her incessive whining? Or punch Miss Caroline Bingley in the face? What a #$%^&! The movie draws you in to what's happening. The arrogance of Mr. Darcy, the sweetness of Jane, the fawning Mr. Colins (yuk!), the droll sense of humor of Mr. Bennet. It's wonderful.

My son can't understand why I continually rewatch this movie. I don't know if I can even explain it to him. I've seen the original with Greer Garson and Lawrence Olivier at least three times, and this one at least five. Although, this is my favorite, I can't slight the old movie.

The book is excellent! I've read it three times.

Summary: This is the single best movie I have ever seen.
Review: My wife and I have worn out the videotapes from repeated viewings...so we bought the DVD. I have seen no other movie which so captures the imagination as Ehle & Firth's Pride and Prejudice. Five hours well-spent.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of my favorite movies of all time!!
Review: I remember watching this movie on A&E in 1995. I was so happy when it came out on DVD I bought it and have watched straight through so many times I cannot count. I only wish that I could find the Music on CD. I will continue to look and hope that it will eventually turn up somewhere.
