Summary: Highlander - The Series Season Three New Release
Review: Any and all Highlander Episode collection is fantastic. Since I haven't had the privalige of viewing some of the first collections offered, ... that is before they became "comercial", I have to say that this collection is just like the USA TV episodes. That's not a negetive thing. It just seems to me, back in the ninties they where advertised as "uncut and original". However the purchase of this collection, has promted me to order the series one collection. Enjoy.

Summary: Who dares to know Forever?!?
Review: Duncan returns yet again in this third installment of the highly acclaimed tv series Highlander.
Having suffered the loss of Darius and Tessa and learning of the existence of the Watchers, MacLeods life has forever changed.
The highlight of the series is the battle between Duncan and an evil immortal named kalas who has vowed revenge on Duncan and seeks to destroy everyone Duncan loves. Also in this installment of the Highlander series' we are introduced to the oldest known immortal "methos".

This by far was the most intense of the seasons. Anybody who got deeply involved in this series felt the impact of the death of Darius and Tessa. They felt the joy of learning that Richie was immortal. Season 3 delivers even more intensity than the previous two seasons.

I give this season my absolute highest reccommendation. The DVD quality and extra features is absolutely essential to any highlander fans library.

Summary: Nice Job!
Review: Each season of the Highlander TV series DVDs is more feature-rich than the one before. This third season has interviews and commentary for nearly every episode. New to the DVD series is outtakes, alternative takes, and even individual bloopers, for many of the shows. I don't think the video of the episodes has been digitally remastered, but it seems quite acceptable to me. All in all, a very nice package.

Season Three came out less than 4 months after Season Two, which was a nice surprise for Highlander fans. I will gladly forego digital remastering if anything like this release schedule can be maintained. The DVD image is already so much better than on that shelf of videotapes I recorded off the air, takes up a fraction of the space, won't deteriorate over time like tapes do, and gives us all the extra materials. A very well-produced, worthwhile and substantial release. Let's hope that Season Four is already in the works.

Summary: Getting better with each season
Review: HIGHLANDER is my favorite television series, and no doubt one of the best and most popular. Here, we have season three of the cult hit show, a season which brought both a soap-opera-like feel to the series as well as introducing fan favorite legend Methos.

The first episode is one of the most important. Titled "Samurai", it deels with Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) keeping a promise made centuries ago, while flashing back to the times in ancient Japan when MacLeod first was given his sacred katana. "Courage" is an interesting episode, dealing with an immortal who has turned to a mindless drug addict. "The Lamb" first introduced that little, seemingly harmless immortal named Kenny. Then, with "Shadows", we see the more vulnerable side of MacLeod, as he is taken by disturbing images and visions of darkness.

"Vendetta" is a funny and enjoyable episode, especially if you like to see Adrian Paul try for "The Godfather". "Song of the Executioner" was the first episode to introduce evil Kalas, a villain who would appear in many more episodes causing tormenting MacLeod and his loved ones. "Star-Crossed" said goodbye to Hugh Fitzcairn; and who could forget "Methos", the episode that introduced everyone's favorite handsome immortal? "Take Back the Night" featured a finale that we'd all been waiting for. "Mortal Sins" was the first episode I saw, and thus is a favorite of mine, including some neat WWII flashbacks.

And then, for the end of the season, we are given two thrilling, quite entertaining episodes: "Finale I" and "Finale II". It was also the first time we got to see Methos more clearly, and see just what a cool 5,000 year-old dude he was.

The season also features a very funny blooper reel and some awesome Watcher Chronicles for each episode. It's essential for HIGHLANDER fans, and for those who grew up with the motto:

"There can be only one!"

Summary: Getting Better!
Review: I really started getting into this series when this season started. My favorite episode was "Shadows". My only gripe is that they (the writers) didn't make more of a story with Duncan and Anne. Otherwise, I liked it lots!
