Rating: Summary: Intelligent TV Review: "The West Wing" is among the best shows to appear on TV. Bold but true.
If the idea of watching a SitCom leaves you with a cold sense of dread because you're genuinely concerned that you'll become as stupid as the people that seem to like those "mental-chewing gum" shows, then the West Wing is for you.
The scripting is generally very tight, the acting is superb, the direction is non-intrusive, and the story lines are captivating and sophisticated. It's easy to imagine that this may be not too removed from the actual machinations of US politics - and this perspective in itself gives a new depth to actual current affairs.
Of course, being able to watch an intelligent show on DVD has the blissful bonus of not being interrupted with inane messages about how people will like you more if you buy this toothpaste, this toilet soap, this car, or this processed food.
Rating: Summary: The West Wing should be real life Review: Aaron Sorkin knows his stuff and the actors of the West Wing shine as they battle themselves and righteous Republicans on this Wednesday evening TV show. Most everything on the West Wing goes downhill after season 3 (although season 6 seems to be chugging along at a progressive pace), so just deal with it and get all three seasons at the same time. You won't need the rest.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good show Review: I've liked certain thngs about this Show since it first came on. there has been some Hit&Miss episodes but overall it's a Pretty Good show& I can see why it continues to do well.
Rating: Summary: A True Gem Review: The West Wing is masterful. The stories, the characters, the actors. Aaron Sorkin is a true artist, as are the actors. The people that think this is a left-wing program are truly mistaken. The story line leans both ways. You won't be disappointed with the WestWing.
