Summary: Keen Eddie DVD Is Great, But...
Review: First of all, Keen Eddie was an incredible show that - like a lot of great shows - was pulled was too early. The storylines are great, the actors are fantastic and there is just the right amount of wit and edge to the production.

The fact the episodes have been released to DVD is great, but, as with most things related to Keen Eddie, the studios seems to be out to screw it up at every turn...

My only complaint: WHO made the decision to not use the original music/soundtrack? When the episodes originally aired, a big part of the impact and hook to the show was the music... and sadly, someone made the call (probably to save a few royalty bucks) to not use the original music. A real missed opportunity.

Otherwise, it's the same Keen Eddie we all know and love... and hopefully will be picked up by an enligntened network at some point in the not too distant future.

Summary: THIS SHOW WAS TOO GOOD FOR IT'S OWN GOOD
Review: I looked forward every week to "Keen Eddie" when it was originally on. Then the network started fiddling with it's time slot, you weren't sure whether it would show up at all and then it went on "hiatus" before they cancelled it outright. It was a disgrace. This show was well written, well acted and had quality production values. In short, it was too good. Maybe if it had been another mindless dribble reality show???!!!! Egad!! The network didn't give it a chance. I am, however, deeply grateful that it is being issued on DVD. Too often a good showed that died an early death disappears without a trace. At least now, when we want to enjoy some wit, we can go back to "Keen Eddie".

Summary: Keen Eddie
Review: I LOVED this show and have seen all that aired. I've written to Bravo asking for a collection of the shows. Well, here it is finally, and I'm reading this DVD set isn't worth the money.

Different music, missing shows, cut-outs, etc. This show is way too good to tamper with, so thanks to all the reviewers who revealed the changes. I'll wait a while longer for the REAL shows.

You'd think the geniuses in Hollywood would take advantage of our purchase power and give us what we want - the REAL Keen Eddie.

Summary: A Very Creative Comedy
Review: I missed the original airing of Keen Eddie on Fox, but caught an episode later on Bravo and was motivated to purchase the box set. I am glad that I did. The characters are lots of fun, have good comedic timing and a warped sense of humor.

It's my understanding that much of the original music has been removed from the DVD set, probably because they didn't want to pay for the rights. Also, the order that the episodes play are the same as they aired, which is not in the order they were intended. The result is that at times you wonder why certain characters are missing, then reappear without explaination.

I gave this 5 stars because I feel that if you haven't seen all the episodes, then you will certainly enjoy it. So, how do you like me so far?

Summary: The music was too important.
Review: I was so looking forward to buying this dvd set when it was released. Unfortunately, after reading about the missing music, I'm going to have to pass. This was a great show. In fact, other than Miami Vice (which was also great largely because of the music), it was the ONLY cop/detective show I've ever considered buying. I WILL buy the Miami Vice season 1 set when it comes out next February because the producers smartly kept the original soundtrack intact. I will NOT buy Keen Eddie as long as it's being sold without the original soundtrack. If the "Powers That Be" ever care to re-release Keen Eddie WITH the original songs, I'll be glad to pay twice the asking price (or more) of this flawed set. The show itself was great, but the music was an integral part of the show. Give me an intact version of the show and I'll buy dvd sets for myself and all my friends and relatives. However, without the music, I'm spending $0 on Keen Eddie.

Summary: 1 of the best shows ever - never shld have been cancelled
Review: I would give it 5 stars w/o question, except that they missed a perfect opportunity to provide a history of the show, interviews, trailers, actor biographies/credits, behind-the-scenes, bloopers, etc. Not that I expect it on every DVD, but since this is a cancelled show, I would love to have had even more "Keen Eddie" besides just the episodes. It also claims "with 6 never-seen episodes", which is also untrue. Awesome show though - I'm going to go through this DVD set much too quickly : )

Summary: Needs the Real Music, but better than nothing.
Review: I would gladly pay the extra cash for a version of this Box Set with the music that was originally part of this AMAZING series (How I wish it was not cancelled). That being said, Keen Eddie without the great music is better than no Keen Eddie Box Set at all. Thats why I still give it 3 stars because you still get the great writing, acting, and editing which makes up most of the show. If you have not seen the show, buy this set and you will not be disappointed. If anyone knows if there is a chance that a version with the music will be released please let me know.

Summary: Best ever!
Review: It is a pitty that was canceled, it was one of the greatest and most imaginative series. If you like Snatch, you'll probably love Keen Eddie.

Summary: Very entertaining
Review: The fact that the music was changed is a valid complaint. And the episodes not being in the proper order is another valid complaint. And yes, there are no extras.

But, I never saw the original Fox airings of KEEN EDDIE. So, I do not know what the original music was like. The music that is on the DVDs works fine. The order of the episodes doesn't make that much difference. And, it is the shows that are important, not any extras.

The show is incredibly inventive and entertaining. Sort of a comic version of the 80's police drama DEMPSEY AND MAKEPEACE. The cast is terrific. Of all the TV series that I have discovered on DVD, this has been one of my favorites.

If you never watched the show, or don't remember what the music is like, this is a must buy.

Summary: Annoying and confusing camera work
Review: The story is fine. The characters are Okay. But not that funny.... I wish at least they have made Eddie's British police partner as a gay. ..

And the camera work is very annoying. They are using so much "zooming" effect and that is very confusing.
