Rating: Summary: Classic Garfield Review: It's great to see that a show like Garfield and Friends is coming to DVD. I have missed this show and am glad to be able to enjoy Garfield and Odie in what was an underrated Saturday morning cartoon
Rating: Summary: Garfield is fun for kids & adults! Review: Like so many other life-long Garfield fans I grew up watching the awesome "Garfield & Friends" every Saturday morning. I was always sad when the episode ended, but now you can have hours of classic Garfield episodes on dvd! I can hardly wait for volume 2 to be released! While the theme song is very annoying & the "U.S. Acres" segments aren't as entertaining as Garfield, this is still a great collection for kids & adults! My 8-year-old niece recently watched the Garfield movie with Bill Murray but I wanted her to experience the classic Garfield that stayed true to Jim Davis' comics so I let her see a few episodes of "Garfield & Friends" & now she loves it almost as much as me! I highly recommend this & all future "Garfield & Friends" dvd volumes as well as the Garfield Holiday special that's being released soon! It's good clean entertainment for the whole family to enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Finally! Review: Ok, I really didn't grow up watching this show, but I did start watching it every morning when it got cancelled and syndicated. Oh, sweet memories, come out of the TV and into a DVD set with GOOD special features. This seems to be my problem with all TV on DVD sets! Not enough or no good special features. Thats what DVDs were designed for. Not only for a better picture, but so theres a learning experience. I plan on being a film maker later in life, but how can I learn about new things when they don't put anything out there to learn from. Be it TV show or movie I watch the special features so I learn what the process is to make the movie or show. All I'm saying is that they need to start putting better special features on their DVDs. The Critic is a good example of a lot of bonus features, they should make more TV/DVDs like that. This should be a promising DVD set for collector, fan, or any young child although I think some of the humor only mature induviduals would understand it's good for all ages. Now we'll have one of Americas favorite comic strip preserved in our DVD collections so that we may pass it down from generation to generaion. Also sorry for all the rants in all my reviews. He he he.

Rating: Summary: great cartoon from the late 80s and early 90s Review: This DVD is GREAT. It is classic Garfield. It has humor and adventure. This is a classic Saturday morning cartoon series. This is a great DVD for everyone. This series is way better than those cartoons that are out today.
Rating: Summary: worth your money Review: this dvd is worth your money the only thing bad about it is that the u.s. acres are not that funny and the theme song gets really annoying but i always pass through them so don't listen to anyone who says it stinks
Rating: Summary: This IS Garfield... Review: This IS Garfield. From the dull (in a good way) voice to the exceptional storylines, this is the Garfield that made the comic strip popular again. I give credit to Bill Murray for voicing the movie version of the fat cat, but NOBODY can top Lorenzo Music's voice work in the animated cartoon. Each episode is comprised of one 10 minute Garfield toon, followed by a 10 minute toon consisting of Garfield's Farm Animal Friends, and topped off by a 3-5 minute Garfield "quickie". All of which are very funny and with some hidden, and more "adult" humor, grown-ups can enjoy this as well. I recommend anyone who liked this show in their youth to at least rent it to see if they like it. I'm sure you will, if you loved the show when it was in syndication.
Rating: Summary: "GARFIELD RULES, MY FACORITE PICTURE EVER!" Review: Whether you grew up watching the Saturday morning cartoon like I did, or you just jumped in the Garfield lovers bandwagon...this dvd will NOT disappoint. Maybe except the theme song. I used to watch Garfield and Friends faithfully every Saturday morning, now my 4 year old son watches it EVERY morning. It doesn't bother me one bit. I just pull up a chair and start laughing!
