Summary: It kept the tradition...
Review: THis Season Finale DVD kept the tradition of the regulra season box of DVD's: the extras are almost none. No interviews with cast, no backstage footage, absolutely nothing special, just a gorgeous packaging. I was not dissapointed because I knew that was coming.

Summary: Great
Review: This is a great dvd and for the price I wasn't expecting any great extras. If you're a fan of the show I am sure you'll not want to miss this wonderful series finale, it stands out as being one of the best in recent memory.

Summary: one of the more assinine series since home improvement
Review: just seeing david schwimmers mopey mug was enough to make a mad dash for remote.once i was done regurgitating,i flipped back to see what could it be that made others gather to this show.if this is/was supposed to be a comedy....well its not my kind of humor.....i failed to even smirk.AND THAT GOD AWEFUL SONG!!!!!by all rights this should never had survived past the pilot.this and sex in the city had to be the longest running trail of mule droppings tv land ever unleashed on us.

Summary: I have that SPECIAL dvd with the hour-long segment!!!
Review: A viewer from Oakland, MI United States wrote:
I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the finale DVD. I thought that it would have the hour long segment that was aired on TV before the finale but it didn't, and that was very disappointing. I was also very upset because I had hoped that they would show the cast coming out to take their final bow and they didn't. Which honestly just sucks. So all and all the Finale was great but the DVD really sucks.

I agree with him/her. The sitcom itself deserves more than 5 stars but the DVD should just be around 2.5 stars because of lack of extras, such as interviews. Fortunately, I was able to buy here in China a (b**tleg?) DVD with that hour-long segment ("The One Before the Last One") that aired on TV before the Finale. I bet everyone was expecting that segment to appear on the DVD so no one thought of recording it, but NOOO!!! we were all so disappointed.

Anyway, if you're interested in owning that special segment, just email me at jaeho-treble2668@mailblocks.com.

Summary: Nice ....
Review: This DVD is a nice keepsake, but if you want it for all the extras, then this is not for you! I was very disappointed with the lack of extra footage and it would have been nice to get scenes from the upcoming "Joey", but nadda. Like I said, it is a great keepsake, but that is pretty much it.

Summary: It ended well
Review: The series ends well in this funny, touching memorable episode. Monica and Chandler finally get their children, Ross and Rachel!!! and the new chick and duck. One of the better written episodes of the past few years.

Summary: Not what I expected
Review: I am a huge Friends fan. I pre-order all of the DVDs and I pretty much know all the episodes by heart (it's sad I know). I actually thought that the finale was perfect. Everything ended how it should, BUT I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the finale DVD. I thought that it would have the hour long segment that was aired on TV before the finale but it didn't, and that was very disappointing. I had also hoped that there would be way more special features, but to be honest with you there was absolutely nothing special about the features that were on the DVD. I was also very upset because I had hoped that they would show the cast coming out to take their final bow and they didn't. Which honestly just sucks. So all and all the Finale was great but the DVD really sucks.

Summary: Memorable and Charming
Review: I loved this poignant episode. It had all the elements that have made the show so memorable over this past decade. From the Joey/Chandler relationship, to the Ross/Rachel saga, and throwing in the chick and duck for good measure. Truly a memorable episode that will only get better with time.

Summary: Expected more.
Review: I am such a huge fan, it's not even funny. So when I purchased this DVD, I kinda had some pretty high expectations. While I think the episode itself was a perfect way of ending the series, I think this DVD was a poor attempt at capitalizing on the ending of the Friends franchise. And sure they have 3 more seasons to put out, but putting out the finale less than a week after it's airing is kinda... suspicious.

Anyway, this DVD contains only a few things: The Broadcast Version of the Finale and The Extended version (uncut). It also contains 10 Years of Beginnings which is a chronicle of the opening theme song for all 10 seasons, and it has the Pilot version (which can be found on season 1 anyway), and the music video with the Rembrandts.

I was surprised they didn't include any more, for example, the hour-long special they broadcast that night with a montage of clips for each character. Or those first interviews with the cast when the show premiered. Maybe even a photo album of some sort.

While I was pleased with the episode itself, I just thought the DVD could've contained more. Granted that probably would've raised its $10 pricetag, but Friends fans would be willing to pay more I'd thing as long as it was worth the money.
