Summary: where are the rest of these episodes
Review: I thought the quality of this DVD was excellent. I was an avid follower of this tv series and can recall it had a kind of muffled sound quality at times, and also a grainy picture. The sound and picture on this DVD are nothing short of great. What I want to know is: when are the other episodes going to be made available on DVD? I know that this program had attracted quite a following, and judging by the MSCL web site, it still does. No other series can compare to My So Called Life.

Summary: We Want More
Review: As an adult I find this one of the most intelligent TV shows ever. I never saw the show while it ran. It's a treat that episodes are being released....... but it seems at a rather snail's pace. There's something here for everyone..... it's not just a "teen's" show. BMG....speed things up!!!

Summary: I think you know you want this
Review: If you're already here, then chances are you're a fan-in which case you seriously need to consider obtaining a copy of this. Come on, it's got the pilot, the "Guns" episode, and "Dancing in the Dark"(which might be the best single episode of the entire show); what more could you possibly ask for? Granted, the extras are pretty much nonexistent. However, there are previews for the next two discs, which I am now patiently waiting for. Come back home to "My So-Called Life" and remember(or discover)just how good TV can be.

Summary: You'll be hooked
Review: My sister and I were reminiscing about this show, and I decided to buy the DVD. Somehow my roommate missed this show when it originally aired (AND when it re-aired repeatedly on MTV). After watching the first episode she asked, pointedly, "How many episodes of this do you have?" For those who are already fans of the show, nearly every line is an instantly recognizable classic. But for those who haven't yet seen it, it will probably seem eerily familiar anyway.

Summary: This show will change your life
Review: I realize that my title sounds dreadfully corny, but it's true. I watched this show when I was very young, I think in fifth or seventh grade, with my brother. At the time I was too young to understand it. One day, I was browsing the Internet and I downloaded a song by the Ataris called, "My So Called Life." Right away I was struck by déja-vu and thought, "I remember that show!" Later that day I went in search of My So Called Life and stumbled upon My So Called Life.com (http://www.mscl.com) This site was extremely influential in leading to my second infatuation of the show.

Although it only had the scripts online, I read everyone with glee. I was overcome with emotions just reading the transcripts. One day I sent a friend of mine an e-mail saying, "My So Called Love-Life." Turns out she was a huge MSCL fan too! She even had every episode on tape from a cousin of hers who also loved the show. Now, I'm a guy and I still nearly cried through half the episodes. This is the most powerful and true-to-reality high school drama ever. The characters are not based on stereotypes and they are not portrayed as sexy superstars, but rather insecure, uncomfortable, and struggling teens.

This show changed my life in many ways and led to many of the saddest/happiest moments in recent memory. I've shown many of my friends the show and they love it. Even rap-metal fans have cried watching this show. I can't recommend it enough and wish everyone could share the same experiences I have experienced while watching this show.

Summary: BEST TV SHOW EVER
Review: I really love this show, and I wish that it would have stayed on much longer. Claire Danes was brilliant in every episode, showing promise as an actress that she has yet to deliver on elsewhere. A.J. Langer was memorable, as was everybody else. Each and every episode stands on its own as a 45 minute movie, particularly the first few which set the tone so well. Not until "Freaks and Geeks" did any other show understand what it was like to be young and get it so perfecftly right in their depiction (though "Freaks and Geeks" didn't do nearly as well as "My So Called Life"). The shows are entertaining, comical, heart-string-tugging, and sometimes profound in their implications. There have been few shows on television that even aspired to the this level, much less reached it. "My So Called Life" is historic and unmatched.

I must admit that much of my motivation in recommending this DVD so highly is purely personal. I bought my copy long ago, just after it came out, and I've been anxiously awaiting further DVD's in the series. To this point I've been disappointed, but I think that if enough people buy this DVD, then perhaps the company will figure out what a hot property they have and release more episodes. Please don't wait for te release of a full boxed set, because if you do there probably won't be one. Follow your heart and buy this. You know you want it. Come on.

Summary: I miss this show!
Review: I was 15 - the same age as the character of Angela - when this show aired and I lived vicariously through it. It's a tough age, and the stories of My So-Called Life are still poignant at every age. No show has ever come close to the phenomenal caliber of My So-Called life, and I don't think it ever will.

Summary: One of the best series of recent years
Review: The writing, acting, cinematography and all aspects of production are excellent. Besides starring wonderful actors like Claire Danes (in her breakthrough role) and Bess Armstrong, it also featured wonderful actors in guest star roles. One of the best was three time Emmy award-winning actress Barbara Bain as Angela's (Claire Danes) Grandmother, 'Vivian Wood' in "Other People's Mothers", episode #10 (not on this DVD, sorry!). Wilson Cruz was wonderful as 'Ricky', Angela's friend and Jared Leto as her off and on boyfriend 'Jordan Catalano.' I highly recommend this series -- go out and support the release of these DVDs!

Summary: The best!
Review: I already have all the episodes on tape, but I bought the DVD anyways. My So Called Life has to be the best show that there ever was. I watch them constantly. I hope they release the rest of the episodes on DVD.
