Rating: Summary: love the show Review: im a huge fan of MSCL. and i of course baught this dvd so i can watch the show over and over. but i really want the rest of the episodes as well. on the dvd it says 'look for future releases' and has previews of the other episodes. but to my knoledge they were never released. i think thats stupid. there are alot of MSCL fans out there. and i think they should release the whole season (all 19 episodes) on dvd in a box set or something. i KNOW alot of people would buy that.
Rating: Summary: a boxed set is on the way Review: This dvd is an excellent improvement over your worn-out videotapes. But don't bother ordering it. Check out the my so-called life Web site at mscl.com for more information about a boxed set. It will be available soon
Rating: Summary: We Need a Boxed Set! Review: I just saw Panic Room and was thrilled to see Jared Leto, who I was so impressed with while watching "My So Called Life", with my then teenaged daughter. We originally taped all the episodes, but teenagers lend things that don't get returned...so I was looking to purchase a boxed set...the entire series. But...it doesn't exist. WHY??? As a mature adult, I watched this series and remembered when...with my daughter, who was looking at it as a preview of the future...neither of us missed an episode. Anyone who watched this show knows that it has to be viewed sequentially...each episode is dependent on the one previous. The drama builds and builds, the characters mature, life goes on. It was a wonderful series...and probably would have done much better on a channel like HBO! If it hadn't come first, we wouldn't have Sex & The City and others like it. Why, oh why, can't we get a complete boxed set?????
Rating: Summary: Nicely done. Review: I miss the series. These are three of the better episodes. However they need to put the series on DVD. Danes does a nice job with her part. The adults in this are a mess but true to life.
Rating: Summary: New DVDs to be released! Review: It took almost 7 years of petitioning and setbacks, but all 19 episodes of MSCL will be released on DVD in a box set package. Go to anotheruniverse.com for ordering information.
Rating: Summary: MORE TO COME? Review: I see on the DVD that they are releasing two more discs(six more episdoes)--- is that no longer the case? I want more! I loved the show and think it deserved a chance to be saved (they put it on against FRIENDS)... Are they planning to release those next two discs that the current DVD highlights?
Rating: Summary: Great Content but the DVD was disappointing... Review: I have fond memories of MSCL, a TV show I was devoted to as a teenager. I was delighted to find it available on DVD. Unfortunately, I found the picture quality to be less than inspiring... (perhaps I just got unlucky, as many reviews I have read praised the DVD for its good quality picture?!!) Nevertheless, the script and the cast are fantastic. It's quite frightening how well the show captured growing up...
Rating: Summary: Waiting for a Complete Release Review: My-So Called Life is a captivating bit of teenage nostalgia. It wears well after repeated viewings and DVD is a great format for compulsive watching of favorite episodes. I recorded the series originally on VHS and am ready to get a longer-lasting set on DVD. But, I'm NOT too enthusiastic about getting three episodes at a time. There were only 19 episodes, so could the folks at BMG just release it as one set, please! As soon as the complete set is released, I'll pick it up.
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best television series... Review: My So-called Life is an great original series that deserves a full release in DVD format. The acting is superb, and the characters are interesting and believable. Really, this is one of the best television shows to emerge in the 90's. The only downside is the show's main setting: high school.
Rating: Summary: First DVD may be the last? Review: Wonderful show that I cannot get enough of. Even at the age of 37, this show takes me back to my teenage years and all of the related angst and wonder. The acting by the cast is top notch. I especially like AJ Langer, Claire Danes, and Devon Odessa. Apparently, BMG Special Projects may not release any more of the My So-Called Life episodes on DVD! If you're a fan like me, contact BMG Special Projects to have BMG Special Projects release the rest of the episodes on DVD. There are rumblings that they may release a boxed-set of all episodes, so make sure you make your desire to own more MSCL DVDs known.
