Summary: Sorry......
Review: In My Opinion, Married With Children was the greatest tv show ever, I loved it... Nothin can replace that show for me....

I was thrilled about hearing of a dvd release, but what good is it? It should have been a Season set... Notice on the booklet of this dvd set that everyone of the shows they advertise has been given it's First Season Set, however Married With Children was the only one they gave the best of sets to...

I don't give about the other collections, I just wanted this one... and this was just a huge slap in the face to the fans.
yes it's nice that we finally get the banned episode.... but big deal, this should have been a seasonal set.

Summary: I agree with everyone else.
Review: Just wanted to put my two cents in. If nothing else, they should have released the 1st season if they wanted to test demand. ("Test Demand?" a show that ran for 11 years and is still in mass syndication everywhere needs to "test demand"?) MWC is a landmark in TV sitcoms, even if the critics fail to recognize it as such. This is one of the few times, when everything, writing, premise, characters, and actors fell into place.
WE NEED THE ENTIRE SEASON RUNS!

Summary: im only giving it one star because you have to...
Review: ok..to the "brilliant" people who made this...just like most of the MWC fans on here ive been waiting for a season set of MWC...i hear about this piece ...and i thought "hey! they finaly released MWC on DVD woooooo!!!!!"and come to find out..ITS ONLY 5 EPISODES!!! ON ONE DVD TO TOP IT!!!!!
i have to agree..why is it that they can release shows like "buffy" and "freinds" but they cant release MWC!!
it just proves that alot of these companys dont want to spend time on real classic tv shows..i mean sure theres seasons of the simpsons,M*A*S*H,hogans heros,etc..but theres more "modern" seasons then there are clasics..they wont even spend time on a wonder years dvd collection!
but they will for "freinds"!
so people...please save your money! hope that we will see a season of MWC on dvd..NOT 5 MEEZLY EPISODES!
this is a piece of garbage..you (the fans) want a season...not this 5 episode piece of jargon!

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS DVD FOLKS!!!
Review: Okay people, listen up. This is the problem with American business these days. They release a few of these "teaser" discs, and the next thing you know, POW! You just spent about $100 on "best of" sets and then come to find out that they are now going to release full season sets! Studio's, do you really think we are that moronic? Just give us full seasons and make us happy. Don't tease us with these things because we won't take it! DO NOT BUY THESE SETS!!! They are only being released to get more money out of us. Just wait....they'll give in eventually.

Summary: 5 classic episodes
Review: This great DVD includes 5 complete and uncut episodes of the classic sitcom MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, including the 'lost' episode "I'll See You in Court".

"A Dump of My Own" - Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) finally realises his life-long dream: to build his own private bathroom. But somebody in the house is trying to sabotage his lair-like lavatory...

"You Better Shop Around (Part 1)" - It's a long hot summer and the Bundys are sweating it up. When the ancient air-conditioner (known as The Kaiser) Al buys blows out the neighborhood's electricity, he finally finds a way to keep his family cool - by moving them into the frozen aisle of their local supermarket!

"You Better Shop Around (Part 2)" - After taking over the supermarket, the Bundys win a shopping spree. But Marcy (Amanda Bearse) insists she's the real winner. The store settles the dispute with a competition: the first one to fill their cart with $1000 worth of groceries wins! Features a guest appearance by Jerry Mathers (LEAVE IT TO BEAVER).

"No Chicken, No Check" - Kelly (Christina Applegate) and Bud (David Faustino) buy a car together and Al gets them a great deal on the auto insurance - by registering the car as a farm vehicle. The Bundy kids must have a chicken in the car at all times , but breaking the policy is the least of their worries.

"I'll See You in Court" - Peg (Katey Sagal) and Al go to a motel called the Hop On Inn. When the Bundys and their neighbors Steve (David Garrison) and Marcy realize the motel videotaped them 'between the sheets' without their knowledge, they decide to sue for a cool million dollars. But when they get to court, it's Al and Peg's sex-life that's on trial!!...

You're entire family will love these 5 classic episodes.

Summary: Where the heck is a boxed set of season 1?
Review: This is a disgrace to a great show. There are so many "bad" shows out there that have boxed set. This show, it's actors and it's fans, deserves much better treatment than this. Please do not support this stupid decision by Fox, by buying these "outrageous episodes". It's a darn fine show, arguably one of the best ever, but a "bad" DVD set.

Summary: Great show, not so great dvd
Review: This is definitely one of the best shows of the late 80's, and this collection has great episodes, but you would think there would be more to show than 5 episodes per dvd (a second volume has recently been released with only 5 episodes as well). The extras aren't great at all, and it's a little overpriced for just 5 episodes, especially if there will be a possible boxed set in the upcoming future. This DVD features the episodes A DUMP OF MY OWN, where Al decides to build his own bathroom with a "Furgeson" toilet; YOU BETTER SHOP AROUND PART 1, where Al fails to provide decent a/c for his house, so the family moves into the grocery, cuts in front of Marcy in line, and wins the shopping spree; YOU BETTER SHOP AROUND PART 2 continues where Marcy convinces the grocery owner to allow the Marcy and Jefferson to compete with Al and Peggy, and it's a race to the finish to see who wins the contest; NO CHICKEN NO CHECK is about Bud and Kelly splitting the cost of a car, and Al provides them with insurance - registered as a farm vehicle where they must have a chicken in a cage with them at all times, but the two go on a double date in the car and leave the chicken at home; and I'LL SEE YOU IN COURT is the 'lost episode' where Marcy, Jefferson, Al and Peg sue a motel for filming their bedroom actions and airing it to the hotel guests. Overall the quality and episodes are great, the only complaint I have is lack of episodes - 5 just isn't enough. I have bought both Volumes 1 and 2 and I hope not many more are going to be released before a boxed set may be released. This has happened with several series from different companies, including the Friends and South Park series.

Summary: Bring on the real deal. SEASON 1 COMPLETE
Review: This is first of all one of my favorite TV shows. I loved married with children. Why so low rating? Simple... This is a easy and quick way to make a fast buck with less work. Come on, bring on the real deal and give fans what they want with TV shows to DVD. COMPLETE SEASONS. I mean really, they release something like this, then in time we will see the full season release just so we can spend even more money on what we should have received in the first place. I love this show, but no I won't fall for this, I'll wait for the real deal. It gets 2 stars just because these are great episodes but hold out for the real deal.
