Rating: Summary: hilarious Review: Sealab 2021 is one of the funnier animated shows on tv. The poor quality animation only adds to its charm (much like South Park). The writing and voices are brilliant. This set contains 13 episodes (Stimutax being my favorite) that you will never forget. It is a little weak on the extras, though the pitch pilot is included (and boy is it awful). I don't quite understand why they needed to use two discs because I think all of this would have fit nicely on just one. Or perhaps they should have given us more extras.
Rating: Summary: Ze sea is a sym-phon-y of color Review: Sealab 2021 is one of the funniest shows on television. There's no coincidence to the fact that this DVD will be released on the same day as Volume 2 of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Kindred spirits, both shows intertwine the mundane and the insane in ways that make things much much worse for their various characters, and the shows consequently that much funnier. Sealab 2021 is a nearly perfect ongoing spoof of the cheesy decades old Sealab 2020 show, with every single character often going through a range of maladies from cannibalism to cyborg powers to running pirate radio stations. As such, it generally defies categorization even in individual episodes, which typically end with the lab itself blowing up on the ocean floor for no apparent reason. If you've ever watched a cartoon from the 1950s or 60s and laughed at how straightlaced it was, Sealab 2021 is right up your alley.
Rating: Summary: GREAT SHOW Review: Sealab 2021, what a great show. Finally going to be released on DVD. This version is a little short though. It's only 156 minutes long. Rating: Summary: The Funniest Cartoon That Nobody Is Watching Review: Sealab is absolutely hilarious! If you are a fan of irreverent humor, than this is for you! Highly recommended, along with "Futurama" and "Family Guy"
Rating: Summary: One of the best cartoons I've ever stumbled upon. Review: That's right, I said stumble. I was flipping through the channels on a boring Sunday night when I happened upon a show about a guy just trying to get some soda. The thing is, the soda machine landed on him. That was the first episode I've ever seen of Sealab 2021, a priceless gem among the line-up of Adult Swim shows. This show is one of the funniest cartoons out there and I plan to buy this, and the Aqua Teen one, because the thought of owning these episodes is quite a nice feeling. But as some have said, Adult Swim and Cartoon Network are only using the bare minium when it comes to the content, and that sucks they have to do that to the people that tune in weekly to catch these shows. I would still buy this for the feeling of owning something great, being able to laugh any time you want to, and hey, maybe even devise a way to make your own happy cake oven.
Rating: Summary: Sealab 2021..............Brilliant!!! Review: This is one of the best cartoons I have ever seen. I really like the twisted humor. May not be suitable for the "RED" states.
Rating: Summary: If you like the show, you will like this, at a good price Review: This show is from the Adult Swim from Cartoon Network. If you have seen the show and think it is funny, this is for you. If you have seen the show and don't think much of it, stay away. I think this is one of those shows that if this humor is around your wavelength of comedy, you really like this. You wouldn't be reading this otherwise. Good value for the money, many episodes spread out over two discs. Episode themes range greatly, you never know what to expect. If you have never seen this, view it on Cartoon Network first, but if your humor is Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy, & The Simpsons, I am sure you find this up your alley. Buy it already.
Rating: Summary: The sweetest of the transition metals Review: This show renewed my faith in cartoons. To take such a simple, ugly cartoon and make it so amusing is impressive. My first episode was "Waking Quinn," and after watching it, I thought, "These guys need to be noticed, this is great work." This bizarre, existential comedy is not, as some say, a cartoon made for/by stoners. There are so many insane allusions and such a sick sense of doom, much like our own world- it is truly post-modern art in every respect. I am only familiar with the first season. I have heard that the other seasons grew worse, and of course, Goz is dead, and this is truly heartbreaking, considering how humorous he was, and how old he was. He obviously didn't take this world seriously.
