Summary: Bobby Whups It Up!
Review: For a music disc this has lot of extras! I was impressed to see so much go into another concert video. This by no means is "another" concert DVD. The menus are stunning, the animation is great, and I can't stop watching it. I am really impressed with the menu interactivity and navigation. I've got nothing bad to say other than I would like to see more. Bobby Darin would be great for any retro freaks, as well as the established fans. Rock on.

Summary: Pure Darin
Review: Get this DVD if you want to see Bobby become the music he loved so well. The material presents Darin as he was in 1973: a blend of everything he had learned as a human being and performer up to that point. No matter what your taste in music, Darin never lets you down. From "Beyond the Sea" to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" to "Midnight Special" to "Lonesome Whistle" Bobby Darin displays why he was such a unique performer; he could do it all. The extra bonus clips with Flip Wilson, Sandy, Dodd, and George Burns are priceless.

Review: I am a huge fan of Bobby Darin but this video is just terrible. Instead of hearing Darin songs I want to hear I'm forced to hear songs like "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Midnight Special" might I add these songs are performed terribly. He sings Mack the knife And Beyond The Sea but he sings them boringly (is that even a word) and lame. no enthusiasm at all. I wish they would give out a tape of him in his earlier years so it would be more entertaining.

Summary: Loved it! What a great entertainer....
Review: I had to see this after watching Spacey's Beyond the Sea. Kevin was good but can't hold a candle to the real thing. I was shocked at how thin Darin was in this show. Several people seem to be upset that this wasn't a Bobby Darin's greatest hit DVD. I think those are probably available but this was created to showcase his diverse talent and genres. He was the quintessential nightclub performer and this was a wonderful example of his talents. I thought it was funny someone even commented on his lavalier microphone since he always uses a handheld mike not a clip on although his hair and tie probably are clip on! He has extraordinary energy in this show and minimal trips to the wings for hits of O2. I do think his patter can get a little in the way of the songs but this goes with the nightclub performer territory. Give them their money's worth.....and that he did!

From If I Were A Carpenter to Splish Splash, Bobby Darin tears it up on stage. It is amazing to watch this knowing that 7 months later, Bobby Darin would die from complications from blood poisoning and a bad heart. The only disappointing thing about the DVD is that Mac The Knife is at the end and is playing while some of the credits are playing. Otherwise, it is a great DVD with lots of bonus material.

Summary: A fantasic film.
Review: I just finished watching this performance on my locas PBS station. Before I saw this video, I had not heard or seen much of Bobby Darin. My father called my in to watch it and I throughly enjoyed it. I had heard him sing songs like, Mack the Knife, Beyond the Sea, and Splish Splash, but was really impressed at how versatile his singing was. I never realized how talented he actually was.In the film, he was very enthusiastic. He had a good band with him and he played several instruments himself. He even made the audience laugh at times with his humor. This video really shows that Bobby Darin was on top, all the way to his untimely death. He put on a very good performance and performed a good variety of music. As much as I enjoyed it, I think any Bobby Darin fan would like this video. I will definatly be buying this video and it is well worth the price. It's the kind of performance that I wouldn't mind watching many times. Bobby Darin was one of, if not the best singer this world has ever known and this video does an excellent job in showing that. The more I think about the film, the more I like it.

I had always been a fan of Darin's, but was blown away by his varied performance and his gargantuan talent. The man could do EVERYTHING! His performance felt untouched by time. The energy he exuded and the fun he was having lifted me out of my chair. He was like a child playing in a sandbox and we were able to watch him pull out all the stops. He was definitely enjoying himself--- unencumbered by the audience's reaction. This video will definitely be on my wish list!

Review: I love this DVD, because it is a wonderful celebration of the life and legacy of The Legendary Bobby Darin for his fans. Questar did a excellant job..the mastering of picture and sound of Bobby's final live performance is breath taking...and the rare interactive extras are priceless.This product is a MUST -HAVE for any Bobby Darin fan and highly I recomended it. UPDATE: 3-10-03: My suggestion ... is to watch the DVD version of this item, instead of the VHS version. It offers so much more,including footage from 1961,which features
the old songs he is talking about.
