Summary: A must buy for all Clerks amd Jay and Silent Bob fans!
Review: This cartoon is pretty funny, it captures the flavor of the movie, with many Star Wars references, including Episode I, cameos buy none other than George Lucas, Steven Speilburg, Oliver Stone, (not their real voices), and the commentary is pretty good. They talk about why the show got cancelled after 2 episodes. A good investment as you get to see all six that were made.

Review: This is by far one of my favorite DVD's of all time...
Sure it's kind of slim on extra's. Sure it was produced by ABC an Disney. You'd think these things would doom this DVD.. No sir!!! This is amazingly funny.
For fans of Smith the jokes are non-stop. From the constant Star Wars refrences... (I Loved the Lando Bit) to the part where he makes george lucas admit that episode 1 was a lame movie and forced him to give him his money back...
Clerks is the funniest thing I've seen since Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Review: This is the backup to the statement..."TV stinks!".Clerks ran for 2 episodies and then the network canceled it. Just like the Simpsons' 1st season, the Clerks series showed promises and needed to air all the shows because I feel the show had a lot of promise toward the end. Enough about my thoughts. As for this DVD you get great 6 episoieds of this brilitly crafted Kevin Smith animatied show. It has great parodies, satire, and sight gags. It also has great cealeberty cameos from: Gywenth Poyltro(?), James Woods, Alec Baldwin, and Gilbert Godfree. This DVD doesn't slack on the extras ethier...Kevin Smith goes all out to please his fans. The DVD has: Super Bowl TV spot
Commentary on all episodeds (every one trashing the "Network" who canceled the show)
Aniamaniacs (like a storyboad in a film)
and each epoiosed has a intro from Jay and Silent Bob...but these [are not always good, because] feel like they were added one at the last second. So I say if you like the Simpsons or Kevin Smith....get this, if you don't the stay away from the otherwise great DVD.

Summary: This series would be great without the network.
Review: The triumphant return of Dante and Randall, two clerks just trying to survive the day to day onslaught of customers. This animated series was never given a fair shake by the network, which shall remain nameless. Sporting talent like Alec Baldwin, Charles Barkley, Gilbert Gotfried, and Julia Sweeny, this is a star studded event. With parodies of films like The Last Starfighter, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and the Bad News Bears (and that was just one episode) it was a hilarious jab at pop culture.
The cast and crew commentary is utterly hilarious, with insight into the inspiration behind each episode, what had to be done to make it work, and why the "network" hated it.
Also included are animatics to show the director's vision, a segment on the animation style, the film-festival trailer, the Super-Bowl promo, and of course, you can never get enough of Jay and Silent Bob.

Summary: Right Before They "Strike Back", They Got "Drawn Out"
Review: Oh boy, it's Clerks time again! But this time it looks like they were watching alot of "Superfriends" & "Scooby-Doo" in the process. "Clerks Uncensored" is the doomed ABC animated prime-time series based on the Cannes winning sleeper-hit film of the same name. What is the best thing about this six episode, double-disc set is hard to say. It might be because all four leads from the original film voice the show: Brian O'Halloran & Jeff Anderson as Dante & Randall with Jason Mewes and Clerks creator/overlord Kevin Smith as Jay And Silent Bob (though as usual, Kevin is "Rarely Heard, Often Seen".) Or it could be that these six great shows that they made, only two of them ever actually made it to air! It could be even that the animation is actually pretty top-notch, unlike the countless animated drivel that was on the other networks at the time. I guess it's too bad that there's only these six, it would of being great if the show had more, but the ownership of them is well worth it & it comes with many great DVD extras too. The commentary is once again hilarious, with the "slacker-four" and their producers and director. It's actually a very enlightning "behind-the-scenes" roundtable-like discussion of what to do and not to do when making a cartoon and working with a network at the same time. Also, the DVD comes with two featurettes, two trailers (featuring the Smith beloved "Super Bowl" spot), rough animatics of it's character development, and pretty cool menus to boot. I find myself rewatching it more often than alot of my other DVD's, it has great replay value. So if you're a fan of any of the other View Askew films: Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, or especially the cool and hilarious recent release, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, you gotta add this to your collection. This is one hellava-toon! So check it out and "Snootch To The Noonch!"......whatever that means.

Summary: Clerks Serve You In Cartoons!
Review: Kevin Smith's doomed network prime-time cartoon series of Clerks, definately deserves a second look. This 2 disc collection contains all six episodes plus hilarious commentary by the cast and much more. A must if you already own any of the great Kevin Smith DVD's. I love it & you will too!

Summary: Has its moments, but not really a good idea
Review: The episode comparing the movie to the cartoon really sums this up for me. They're entirely different. Kevin Smith and his crew would have been much better off coming up with an original concept if they wanted to do a network cartoon. Whenever the cartoon tried to act like the movie it seemed forced and didn't work with censored language. Whenever it got too far away from the movie you began to question why they made the movie into a cartoon in the first place. It really was a no win situation. Then adding an evil billionaire character just made the Simpsons comparisons way too easy.

Summary: Money wasted
Review: Things just seemd to get better for Kevin Smith, each movie seemed to take on more and take it on successfully. This cartoon series apparantly bombed on the networks and its easy to see why. Poor production masked by weak jokes about Korean animators, and plots that feel like they were lifted from the Simpson's and then dumbed down. Wish I had not ordered this.

Summary: Well Played Clerks...
Review: Kevin Smith once again brings us a fine new chapter to the New Jersey Chronicles. The first time I saw episodes 2 and 4 on ABC, I almost passed out from laughing so much. And only two primetime-network cartoon shows have been able to pull that off for me: The Simpsons and The Family Guy (Which FOX is thankfully bringing back...). This new entry to the Clerks chapter of the New Jersey chronicles once again brings us back to the little town of Leonardo where our favorite store clerks, Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson), are still toiling away at the Quick Stop after all this time. And don't worry, Jay and Silent Bob are still dealing in front of the store, except this time it's fireworks to keep things a little more primetime worthy. The big difference (that really shouldn't matter for TRUE fans) from this and the movie is that a lot of adventures with our beloved characters is not spent inside the Quick Stop. I had no problems with this because if they spent all there time in there things would get boring and repetitive. I really don't see why people had a problem with this. TRUE fans of the Chronicles would accept whatever Kevin Smith gave us and allow themselves to be charmed by the wonderful humor of Clerks: The Animated Series. (But if "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" isn't funny there will be hell to pay...)
