Summary: flinstones list, what more can i say
Review: In the year 2000 (inbetween "Dogma" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back") Kevin Smith came up with a cartoon show based on the characters from his first indie film "Clerks". Being the comedic genius that he is, he used the cartoon potential, as well as the fact that it is a sitcom, and can mock other sitcoms.
This show is genius. That's all I can say. So many non-sequedor, burst-out-laughing gags keep coming it's insane. I know this doesn't describe it very well, but if you're a fan of any of Smith's other movies (except Chasing Amy, the black sheep of the NJ trilogy) you will love this, so buy it.
Oh and James, Crociata - YOU IDIOT, the flashback episode (first to air, second on the DVD)was making fun of flashback episodes from other series. Since they only had one episode to flash back to, they used made up things, as well as the episode itself. That is the brilliant part. You're not supposed to take it seriously.
BUY THIS DVD!!!!

Review: 6 episodes on 2 dvd's. what more is there to say.

Summary: "Yous guys want to buy some fireworks???" (4.5 stars)
Review: Leave it to ABC to cancel great shows. (Perfect example: The Job.) The animated series, "Clerks," only made it for two episodes from what I know. It's hard to understand why, because I thought they were hilarious. Sure, they were nothing like the movie, but they were still good and entertaining. Well, now here's your chance to see those two episodes, and four others that have never been seen before. "Clerks: Uncensored" is animated chaos and mayhem at its best.

Written by Kevin Smith and voiced by the major players from the movie, you still get to see all the great wit and humor from Smith's mind, even if he can't use cursing. The episodes are very well executed and well written, leaving you unsure of what to expect next.

All 6 episodes are great, but I must say that one of my favorites has to be the one that resembles the movie, "Outbreak." (Remember, due to legal reasons, it can no longer be referred to as the Dustin Hoffman movie when you are talking about the show. It must now be referred to as the Al Pacino movie.) All of the rest are great too.

All of this is presented to you on 2 disks, including extras such as intros to each episode by Jay and Silent Bob, commentary, character development featurette, the film festival trailer, and a couple of other nice extras to make you happy.

You like Kevin Smith? You like "Clerks?" Then pick up this DVD. While it may not be as good as the movie (it's not trying to be, and it even makes fun of the fact that it isn't), "Clerks: Uncensored" is hilarious and entertaining. Forget ABC! Here's your chance to watch these episodes and make decisions for yourself. I guess when all else fails, you can always go back to watching "Friends" or "Will and Grace....."

Summary: Good But Kevin's Done Better
Review: This Collection of the Clerks Animated series is really funny, but you can definetally see that network television has no place for Kevin Smith vehicles. The best part is the commentary, and the production videos. If your really a Kevin Smith fan, this is worth purchasing. But if not, you might be dissapointed.

Summary: One of my favorite DVD's
Review: The Clerks series lasted such a short while on broadcast televison hardly anyone was able to watch it. The series follows the adventures of Dante, Randall, Jay, and Silent Bob. While there were some changes in the characters, they are still basically the same as they were in the movie.

The video looks good, but since it originally aired on television its not like there would be a lot of graphical glitches. The audio sounds good as well, nothing major but it fits in well with the tone of the show.

The real gem of the discs is the commentary with the shows stars and creators. They reveal so many little tidbits about the series and characters its amazing.

This has to be one of my favorite DVD's. I have watched it so often I feel that I might burn a hole in the disc. If you liked the Clerks movie or are a fan of Kevin Smith movies, you need to get this set.

Summary: ABC was correct in giving this show the axe....
Review: This was supposed to be part of a new animated series Smith did for television and ABC axed it after only two episodes, if you watch these shows, you can see why. Good choice on ABC's part to get rid of this show.

Summary: Wonderful Series That Deals With Love and Affection.
Review: Clerks The Animated Series, written by a relative unknown, Kevin Smith is an epic series that deals with tons of subjects, including love, rape, dealing with yourself, and other shocking things.

This 24 episode series follows the life of a father as (in one day) he butchers his daughter, gets a divorce, goes to jail, gets beaten by jailmites, and finally goes to Outer Space and thinks whether to kill himself or go back home. Instead of ejecting himself into space, he goes to earth and uses Satanic Rituals to bring his daughter bck to life. However, shes strangely different. From there, this M-Rated cartoon shocks with one plot twist after another. A Must See!

Mr. Smith has said one day he hopes to make a Clerks film. We can all hope, can't we?

Summary: Why did you guys have to pick ABC!
Review: This thing was the funniest cartoon I have ever watched. But why in gods name Kevin did you pick conservative old Disney and ABC to show it on. Comedy central would have been such a better way to go and then I could have multiple seasons of clerks! I am only bitter cause it was so good yet I only got a couple of eps out of it.

This is just a great spoof on the clerks life and the comic style of the arch villain. "well played...clerks"

keep em coming kevin.

Summary: a failed attempt
Review: Kevin Smith attempted to cash in on his Clerks fame with this Clerks animated series, voiced by the original cast. Only two episodes aired on ABC, and only six were made. This dvd contains all six, with (not so good) introductions by Jay and Silent Bob. The cartoon has a sharp look to it, and a few good lines. Episodes 3,4, and 5 are the best, and actually are pretty good. Episode 1 and 2 are bad. The final episode is ok, but not like 3,4,and 5. Those three episodes show that the series could have improved had ABC kept it.

Once again Kevin Smith has a good dvd. There are animatics for each episode and two featurettes. Producers Kevin Smith, Scott Mosier, and Dave Mandel, Supervising Director Chris Bailey, and actors Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, and Jason Mewes supply the commentry that runs through all six episodes. Smith says at one point that these cartoons are best watched with an audience of 5000 (referring to his showings at comic book collections), and I can see what he means. These cartoons were so much more enjoyable watching it during the commentary. It is like watching it with them.

This isn't The Simpsons or South Park. But if you are a Kevin Smith fan, then is probably something you would enjoy.
