Summary: What's the big deal?
Review: I've tried to watch this on HBO but just can't get into it? It's not very funny and pales in comparison to HBO's greats like S&tC, OZ, Carnivale and Real Time with Bill Maher. I'd prefer they bring back Mr. Show.

Summary: Beyond Brilliant
Review: This show has the strengths of Seinfeld, without the weaknesses. It's like a grown-up version of Seinfeld, containing the quirks that made that show great but avoiding the inane characterizations and cheap laughs that seperate the two shows.

CYA is now into its 4th season. The second and third season have been well worth watching, but this first season was particularly brilliant. From the third episode onwards, it was riotous and fresh each week. It was the funniest show on television (yes, even funnier than South Park) for that year, without question. If you're interested in comedy at all, you must see how good this show is.

Summary: Great Series - Crappy Packaging
Review: This review is about the packaging of the DVD. It goes without saying that CYE is an incredibly funny show. If you loved Seinfeld you'll love this too.

My problem is with the gimmicky sliding packaging. It's a pain in the @$$ to open. Maybe mine wasn't made quite right but it will never open on the first try for me. Dissapointing.

CYE is a great hsow that doesn't need gimmicky packagaing to sell itself.

Summary: Why did this take so long?
Review: This is by far, one of the funniest series I have seen to date, topping even the Family Guy! Of course, there is also Seinfeld, but this series has no limits because its on HBO. This is an extrememly funny show that everyone should watch. Unfortunately, not everyone understands his comic genius, and are put off. But if you believe yourself to be a fan of the comedy genre, run out to get this. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: Everyday LA
Review: This series is about the everyday life of an Angelino. The stores, sidewalks, attitudes and chain of events are undisputedly real-LA. I live in LA. I live among people like Larry and his friends. I walk down those streets and go to those retaurants. I have a couple driving experiences that are etched forever on that DVD-disc because the same things happened to Larry.
In a city that is often overhyped and undersold, this comic series brings out the real LA. Oh my! I watched it then, I'll watch it again and again - now that I have pre-ordered my own DVD. If you ask, why would I want to watch something I can see out of my window, the reply would be past obvious - in LA we LOVE watching ourselves.

Summary: Funniest show - Hilarious Characters could you ask for more?
Review: This show breaks all boundaries, I laugh so hard I cry and that to me is a sign of a great comedy show. The DVD will none the less showcase the comedy genius' Larry David and his cast really are. I only wish you could take stock in this show.

Summary: Only one flaw
Review: Fantastic series...only one flaw though. When I orginally watched the series on HBO it was in widescreen; just like all of HBO's other series (Sopranos, Oz, Band of Brothers, etc.). For some reason they opted to not include the widescreen format on the discs. Even though it is a very well written series.

Summary: monsieurms inept view of comedy
Review: Curb your Enthusiasm is the arguably funniest program on television. The actors, all of whom are comedians give the show an edge, allowing the show to explore improve as well as the quarks of Seinfeld that we have all come to miss. Larry's execution of jokes is reminiscent of an old friend named Kaztanza, which leaves you falling off of your seat at the end of the program. This show truly will be remembered as one that not only pushes the envelope, but as one of the greatest comedies of the 21st century.

Summary: Ugh
Review: No thanks. I saw Seinfeld and sometimes that it was mildly amusing - when the characters weren't making me consider poking my eyes out with toothpicks, that is. This show is worse, by far. I understand that it has its own appeal to some, but I simply cannot find it. The 'improv' writing is annoying (for better results, see "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"), the characters are totally impossible to relate to and just not amusing. At all. Honestly, I can't see how anyone would willingly subject themselves to this show, but to all those who like it, congrats on getting the DVD!

Summary: Slowly becoming my all-time favorite show.
Review: CYE is definetly the funniest show today, and although it is still slightly behind Seinfeld as my all-time favorite show, it is gaining quickly. The writing and the story lines are hilarious and I can see why George Costanza was derived from Larry, they are the same person except for Larry's success. Ths show is great, get the dvd! I can't wait for Seinfeld on dvd.
