Summary: im a fan... but wow...
Review: ive been a fan of curb your enthusiasm for about the last 2 seasons of the show. from what i saw it was laugh out loud hilarious. so, naturally, when this came out i had to have it. i went out and shelled out [$$] for it. the ride home i was playing with the case, which is the BEST DVD CASE EVER, and earns this review one star.

so i get home and pop disc one into my dvd player, but not before i went to the bathroom. i thought that if i had a full bladder i might piss myself. this. however, was not the case. i was extremely let down by the quality of the episodes, they just werent that funny. i just wasnt laughing.

my suggestion: wait for season 3 and 4 to come out, then buy those... but leave this one alone unless youre buying it for the case, for which i couldn't blame you.

Summary: WOW!
Review: Well, let me first say, I owe credit to my dear friend Kevin. He got me attached to the show and now I regret not having HBO. OH well, but anyway, Larry David and Jeff Garlin are the greatest. Their improv is amazing, even when Jeff had a stroke. I wouldn't have know if I didn't listen to the audio commentary, well actually Kevin told me about it. Well, everyone is great....the plots just like Seinfeld, which was the greatest in my mind, but now I'm leaning towards this, Curb Your Enthusiasm, the music...it adds such a kick to it....anyway, if you are debating to get this dvd or not, listen to me, I'm not rich and I bought it, go ahead...go buy it. BY the way, I'm 13, so I wouldn't have any $ in the first place.

Summary: Best HBO Series
Review: Unlike 'Sex and the City' this is actually a great HBO show. It's main humor is the fact that you as the viewer know that Larry is innocent, but everyone in the show is against him. From writing a obituary with the word "aunt" but the paper accidentally publishing [the "c word"] to accidentally being labeled a racist and a sexist, to getting his friend arrested because his coat has pot in it that he was going to give to his glaucoma-plagued father, you won't stop laughing.

Summary: eye opener
Review: Being a British viewer it took me a while to see "curb" .It is treated terribly by the BBC and is now only available to watch on digital--WHY?
Simply put i love this show so much as it satirises so many aspects of LA life i find puzzling. If i were a rich writer i hope i'd act in the same way .
30 minutes is never enough ,and Cheryl just gets better and better as a character. Please make more!

Summary: Top Shelf Comedy
Review: This is my favorite TV show of all time. Word to the wise: Watch the 1 hour pilot first (its on disc two as part of the bonus material). It sets up the characters and the mood, and is very funny). This is an excellent social commentary, as was Seinfield, only this version cuts closer to the bone.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is not really for the masses, however. It is comedy on another plane and it seems to take some folks awhile to get there. Those who give it a real chance are rewarded in the end.

Summary: Season 2!!!!!!!
Review: Season one was classic, but now I can't wait for season 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or season 3 for that matter, or even for what I've seen of season 4!!! Please Larry, I know it has been less than a month, but don't be like some of these shows are release a season every 18 months, we can't wait that long!

Summary: Less Than Nothing
Review: First off... I've only seen the four episodes on disc 2. That said, the shows bring to mind Mencken, "Noone has ever lost money understimating the taste of the American public." Gosh, these shows are bad. As noted on other reviews, it's Seinfeld minus the great actors and with less plot: Seinfeld's "nothing" is much, much, more than this less than nothing. Larry David's psuedo-character isn't that bad, but his manager just takes up space as a straight man absorbing more than he bounces back. And the wife is gorgeous but unlikable, (nicely) ordering Larry around. Hey lady, get your own gosh darn prescription filled! Go get the catering leftovers yourself! It's your idea! Stop being so jealous over "other" women!!! In short, the characters aren't likeable.... Nor are they interesting: It's like watching a boring uncle with some famous friends... with, okay, a funny concept, but poor script, improv, and execution. In short, I can't believe this show is so popular, and the disc is selling so well. Hello? The vastly better Seinfeld is available every night for FREE! I gave two stars because of funny concepts and a few funny moments, and an interesting "realistic" look. And the show is a curiosity piece -- an appendage to Seinfeld. Not a third star because some passages are so bad they're Tums inducing. Seinfeld is a classic, and looks even better after this "what might have been." As a spin off, Curb Your Enthusiasm may be the Joannie Loves Chachi of nothing shows.

Summary: Genius
Review: I have only recently started watching Curb Your Enthusiasm but I absolutly loved it upon seeing a single episode. I immediatly went out and got every single episode made up to date and proceeded to watch them in chronological order, and all I can say is this show is the simply the funniest, wittiest production on TV currently. I generally don't watch a whole lot of TV because it is overloaded with mindless, worthless crap. I tend to watch mostly movies or the odd decent production, and I deem this show the absolute best on TV at the moment. If you havn't seen this show, I recommend ordering HBO immediatly just for this show, it's that fantastic. Buy the DVD!

Summary: "This has disaster written all over it"
Review: This is a line that Larry says to his manager after being asked a simple favor, and is a good synopsis for what Larry finds in store for him in each and every episode. At the risk of summing up just about every other review, this show is absolutely brilliant and painfully funny. The characters thrive on misunderstandings and anaylsis of the trivial things in life (just like Seinfeld or perhaps Three's Company). Larry is much more like Jerry's character in Seinfeld than George (despite numerous review professing the opposite), only that he is much more in-your-face, abrasive, and obnoxious than Jerry ever was (or was allowed to be by network television). He is also very similar to Woody Allen (one of my all time favorite actors, directors, and comedians), so if you like any of the work that he has done, there is a good chance that you will like this show. Though it is not quite at the level that Seinfeld is (an impossible feat for any other show) it comes VERY close, and is a welcome substitute for any Seinfeld fan that has seen each episode and is looking for something new. Thank you Larry, you've done it again! Keep makin' em, and we'll keep watching.

Summary: EXCRUCIATINGLY FUNNY!
Review: Larry David is the Master of infinitesmal nonsense. He is excruciatingly funny and absurd. Just when you think he can't possibly make matters worse,- he does. We laughed until we cried. This is brilliant and entertaining if you can survive the tension. You won't believe the situations Larry creates for himself. His supporting cast is excellent. You might be annoyed at first, but he will make you laugh!!!!!!!
