Rating: Summary: A Legend...80 years! Review: This DVD is a magnificent collection of Judy's duets and songs from her guests. Yes, a lot of these songs are taken from the other DVD's, but what did you expect? It's a compilation. I particularly love Barbra Streisand / Judy's duet. Two of the best female singers of our time TOGETHER. It's also interesting to see Liza as a young woman. The bonus features are really fun to see! (The outtakes) and the game is thrilling. Judy's solos are worth buying this. I absolutly love hearing the oldies like "I'm Nobody's Baby" and the newer(at that time) Rock-a-bye Your Baby with a Dixie Melody"! Absoloutly wonderful special by one of the BEST performers...JUDY GARLAND!
Rating: Summary: Superb! Review: This DVD is really a must-have not only for Garland fans, but also for anyone interested in seeing the best of what mid-20th century television had to offer. It's a shame we can't tune-in to anything of this caliber today! This volume is really a great addition to what's already available of The Judy Garland Show on DVD. The liner notes hint at more to come: "Of special interest is a great sneak preview of moments from several of the five episodes Pioneer has yet to release on DVD. In addition to solo and duet performances, Volume Six also presents never-telecast outtakes, including the entire opening 'football' medley of episode #14, and the never-completed performance of the Roger Edens/Leonard Gershe 'Born in a Trunk' routine, intended as part of Judy's final appearance in episode #26."
Rating: Summary: Spellbinding Review: This is a wonderful release of a great star in her prime. Although I have many of the songs and duets scattered across the multiple releases to date, this does bring together many of Judy and her guests' finest moments onto one disc. There are tantalising glimpses of moments from the shows yet to be released. Note to Pioneer: Wonderful job, now get on with releasing the last shows!! Don't miss the commentary by Coyne Steven Sanders. A real, if rambling, insight into the series and the lady herself. The trivia quiz is fun (at least once) and there is a treat at the end for those who persevere. Highly recommended
