Summary: Where is the rest?
Review: I am hoping Sony continues to produce these dvd collections. My wife and I really enjoy and identify with Paul and Jamie. We got together after the show had ended so it's like watching them for the first time. Dont quit till all seasons are out!

Summary: I want Season 3, too
Review: I hope it's in production -- though I loved much of the series, all my favorite episodes are from that season, notably "Our Fifteen Minutes."

Summary: Mad about this series
Review: I think I was deceived when I start collecting this series. I didn't imagine that Sony people don't RESPECT their customers. I want this series released until the final episode! They should release a set with all remaining episodes what is not a big work to be done considering the two initial box sets( cheap packaging, no extras, fair image quality... ).

Sony MUST respect US, they MUST release remaining episodes!!!

Summary: Where's the 3rd season?!?!?!
Review: I was slow in viewing this program at it's beginning until I began to realize that this show had excellect charactors and story lines that have since become one of my favorites in the world of TV series. The Actors [Helen Hunt & Paul Reiser] & Writers were great and I have enjoyed the DVD releases of Seasons 1 & 2. I look forward to the next release of Season 3.

Summary: Better picture quality on second season discs
Review: In the first season dvd package Sony sacrificed picture quality in order to cram all 22 episodes on 2 discs. Happily, the 25 episodes which comprise season two are contained on 3 discs and the picture is much sharper as a result.

This isn't the only thing that I like better about this set of discs. For one, the writing got much better in the second season. The jokes were funnier, the characters were more solid and for some reason, Helen Hunt is cuter.

Again, there are no "extras" in these discs. No commentary, specials, cut scenes... nothing. But when you consider the low price it's being offered at, it's a great deal regardless. I only hope that the consumer response is strong enough to warrant issuing the remaining seasons.

Summary: Mad About First Three Seasons Only!
Review: In the second season the show finally finds its true audience. My personal favorite episodes from this season: #2. Murray's Tale (Lisa loses Murray in the park and brings home a Murray double); #6. The Unplanned Child (Murray goes trick-or-treating as a camel); #17. Instant Karma (ill gotten blouse and the difference between taupe, beige, tan, and off-white); #18. The Tape (Jamie and Paul's very private video winds up in the wrong hands); #20. The Last Scampi (classic family disfunction between the Buchmans and Stemples); #21. Disorientation (Paul, Ira, & Lisa frantically try to register Jamie at school before she arrives for her first day). These episodes are now classics as are those in Seasons one and three. I would only recommend the first three seasons as these are the "quintesential" Mad About You. Sadly, season 4 introduces odd changes among which Jamie and Paul's relationship fails as they struggle with jobs, relationships, family, trying to conceive - thus the series takes on a weird downward spiral from there on. The producers received alot of flack from fans, especially in reference to the serious twists in season 4 where Jamie and Paul break up (was it still a comedy or now a drama?). Due to these and other changes, they lost a good part of their original audience but this did not deter them from going ahead with seasons 5 and 6, which seem to be a different sitcom altogether. I already own season #1, will buy #2 and can't wait for #3 - but there I stop.
