Summary: Relates to all age groups
Review: Having been a fan of Sela Ward from the programs 'Sisters' and Marshall Herskovitz of Thirtysomething I was pretty confident that I would love Once and Again. I was right. Having been divorced only a few years ago at the age of 26 and no children, I felt I may be a little young to be able to relate to the trials and tribulations that face the main characters daily. However I soon realized that the anxieties, joys and fears I experienced are the same reality for anyone who goes through this difficult transition in life. This show reflected the truths and not the romanticized view of rebuilding ones life that hollywood tends to spoonfeed us. I recommend this to anyone male or female, married or divorced, aged 25-60, it is a journey worth taking and I look forward to the remaining seasons being released.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: This was, without a doubt, the best television series ever produced. All of the actors were perfect for their parts and the stories were always so true to life. As a single parent, I have felt many of same emotions that were portrayed each week. It truly felt like losing friends when the show went off the air. I sincerely hope that the next two years will be available on DVD. Like a fine movie, this is the type of show that can be watched over and over and you will never tire of it.

Summary: Season 1
Review: Once and Again is an amazing show it was to bad when it only lasted three seasons. I missed alot of the episodes when it aired but was glad that it came out on DVD. Now season 1 is great but I hope to season 2 and 3 are soon out on DVD as there alot more episodes I like to see and this is on show worth owning on DVD. Season three I hear is the best.
I can completely relate to it coming from a divorced family myself and the trials people go through life.
The show had alot of great lessons and was about everyday life and the writers didn't try sugar coat it.

Summary: I Would Have Appreciated Some Extras
Review: This show was never shown in England, so I bought this collection on recommendation alone.

The earlier episodes seemed somewhat wooden. The cast looked too squeaky clean. Lots of annoying 'subtle' lighting (sun shining through venetian blinds and gently lighting people's eyes)... over-coiffed hair. Some of the characters seemed a little single-dimensional.

But...after about sixteen episodes things started to kick in. I started to care about these people, a lot. Some very touching moments... some good laughs...but, I definetely didn't find it as fabulous as some of the other reviewers here. It's not a touch on 'thirtysomething'. A little too much focus on the very young members of the cast bored me...how much can you say about a twelve year old?...and Grace, the classic self-loathing teen, was too consistently snarky to warm to.

It was really fun to watch a whole season from scratch...no waiting 'till next week...no commercials.

I would have liked some extras...interviews with the writers and cast would have been very welcome, but there's absolutely nothing.

BUT...I did enjoy it enought to be very certan that I WILL buy the next seasons as they become available.

Summary: Where is the Complete 2nd Season?!?
Review: Once & Again is the most moving "real-life" drama of any TV series. It is a crime this cast was broken apart as they displayed some of the best acting I have seen. It still hurts... An incredible experience! Watch an episode once per day and you will not need to worry about having nothing to watch but bad TV.

Summary: Once and Again...and Again...and Again
Review: This was my favorite show when it was on. It was touching, funny and brutally honest about life. As they have done with their previous shows Thiry Something and My So Called Life - they show that things that might seem ordinary or even mundane are often some of the most important and amazing moments in our life. It is hard to believe that ABC cancelled this series when it was actually producing descent ratings and was one of its most award winning and critically acclaimed shows on the air. And ABC wonders why they dropped from first to last in such a short period. The Sammlers may have moved on, but I am grateful for the time we had with them. Am looking forward to the rest of the series to be out on DVD as watching this show again reminded me about how GREAT of a show this was and also showed how so much of the new programs out there are just 30 to 60 minutes of packaged drivel. They did the same thing with American Gothic but at least with Once and Again we have some of the memories on disk to remember this great series with.

Review: I just loved this show...what more can I say!
As with the other Australians who I have just read they discovered the final show aired yesterday I was stricken with sadness and disappointment. Its not often that one can find the type of connection with a shows characters...its even hard for me to describe. As with everyone else I will be purchasing the DVD Complete First Edition and eagerly await the release and availability of seasons 2 & 3. Ive just finished emailing the Network who aired the show in AU to implore them to run the remaining seasons. Its just such a shame the producers didnt continue the series as with other long running tv shows ie Friends etc. Watching the show was one of my few joys. But on a positive note at least we can capture the moments again with the DVD. Im thankful for small mercies...enjoy!

Review: I have just read all of the comments left by everyone, people all over the world watched it..and as it was such a great show, why did they cancel it, were the people just having a bad day when they cancelled it, I think they should reconsider and start making it again..lol...I'm serious, there is so much garbage on tv, this is the only show I enjoyed sitting down and watching.
