Summary: Loved the show, but ...
Review: Extras were missing. Where are the actors talking about their characters? Where are deleted scenes and stuff like that? Missed that stuff, but still LOVE the show as much as ever.

Summary: my favorite TV sitcom from childhood!
Review: I bought this Saved BY THE Bell dvd set a few months ago for 38 dollars and I have mixed feelings. I was very happy because they have some of the best shows in the entire series (like Fatal Distraction, Save that Tiger and 1-900 crushed). However, this is a bare-boned dvd with absolutely nothing to offer except the show. THEIR ARE NOT EVEN CHAPTER SELECTIONS! If they make dvds for the third and fourth seasons, which have great episodes like Cut Day, Aftermath, and FAKE I.D's among many others, then they should give the customer their money's worth because most of these actors could have done interviews or commentary to make this dvd set more interesting. This set is strictly for Die-hard fans of the show like me.

Summary: A Gen X comfort product
Review: Ah Saved By the Bell.I was in grades 9-12 when Saved by the Bell originally aired so I can say I grew up with the show.I remembered it as being funny and enjoyable.I have received the DVD for X-mas from a friend who knew I was a fan.I'm amazed at how mature and clever much of the writing and jokes were for a teen show. Its alot better than I remembered and I appreciate it more now. I agree that the show is a perfect representation of young people (Gen X) in the late 80's-early 90's. From Zachs big clunky cell phone to freindship bracelets to references to George Bush (the daddy) and Gorbechev -I dare any Gen X'er to watch this DVD and not be transported down memory lane.It was a fun trip and for that I will overlook the flaws like no extras,no booklet and security tape that will rip the package if your not careful-4 out of 5-Keep them coming and improve with the next 1!-Michael E Johnson

Summary: TRIPE!
Review: This show was and still is one of the worst pieces of tripe to ever hit the airwaves.

If you're a fan of this show, then you're undoubtedly a victim of inbreeding.

Instead of spending your money on this DVD set, why not just feed dollar bills into a paper shredder.

I absoulutely loved watching this again, it was my favorite show & still is. Saved by the Bell wasn't just a funny show, but it also taught a lot of great life lessons about friendships etc. I highly recommend this, I can wait for the next DVD box set to come out, i'll get the day it's released. Thank you SOOOOO MUCH Lons Gate Home Entertainment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: how could they mess up the packaging?
Review: i love this dvd! it has made my life worth living, but how could they mess up the packaging? when i tried to tear off the seal from the box, the whole picture ripped off and then i could not see slater's sexy workout clothes or zach's hair. i think that that was a very irresponsible move on the part of the manufacturers and should be fixed immediately before any other dvds are released. other than that i thought the episode where jesse got so excited and then so scared was quality. i like the other episodes too. and i like watching the show on saturday mornings and will continue to do so. thanks for reading.

Summary: *Very important error for this set. Please read!*
Review: !! This DVD collection is INDEED missing episodes !!

This dvd set supposedly follows the tv air date of each episode for seasons 1 and 2, which explains why the pilot, "King of the Hill" is on the second dvd of the set and is listed as episode 15 (the actual tv air date). But this is not completely true as tv air date episode 13, "The Election", for example, is on the dvd set as episode 14. If this dvd set were going by production number, the proper production number episode 13 is "Pinned to the Mat" which on the dvd set is episode 9. As you can see, this dvd is NOT strictly going by production number nor by tv air date.

Thus, there are episodes missing from season 2 regardless of which argument you take, "air date vs. production number."

Missing season 2 episodes:

prod. #6344 - The Fabulous Belding Brothers *** AIR DATE WAS DURING SECOND SEASON (09-Dec-1990)***
prod. #6346 - Breaking Up Is Hard To Undo *** AIR DATE WAS DURING SECOND SEASON (16-Dec-1990)***
prod. #6345 - Glee Club *** AIR DATE WAS DURING SECOND SEASON (23-Dec-1990)***

prod. #6347 - The Video Yearbook *** AIR DATE WAS DURING 4TH SEASON (07-Nov-1992)***
prod. #6348 - Snow White & The Seven Dorks *** AIR DATE WAS DURING 4TH SEASON (14-Nov-1992)***
*both of these were also filmed during the second season.*

With this, I can see how they would place "The Video Yearbook" and "Snow White and the Seven Dorks" on season 4 in which they aired, but where will the other three episodes go as they aired during the second season?

Thanks to livng2tell and tvtome.com for pointing this out.

Also, as other reviewers have pointed out, the opening credits theme song switches lead vocalists every few episodes. There were two vocalists that did their own version of the title song. The regular guy we are used to hearing and the George Michael-sounding guy. =) AND the clips of each cast member from these credits are clips from future seasons. That is, you see a clip of Zack as how he looks during season 2 or 3 when in reality the episode you'll be watching is from (and was filmed in) the first season.
As for the video, it looks ok, definitely not dvd quality-looking. The sound is also average. And NO extras. What is up with that? Basically, it's like watching a vhs episode from the series only a tad better.

Here's hoping they remaster these episodes properly and bring with them the "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" episodes.

Summary: SBTB DVD
Review: SBTB is really cool. I love this show. The reason I wanted this dvd is because my favorite episode is " Jessie's Song." I haven't made it through the whole Dvd set, but is " Jessie's Song" on the Dvd set. Answer please!

Summary: There are no screw-ups in this package!
Review: The episodes are by air date...NOT production date! Also, some people are saying there are missing episodes, but there were some episodes held over and first aired during seasons 3 & 4, so technically they didn't screw anything up.

However, I still gave the set only 3 stars simply because of the cheap packaging and lack of extras.

That's all.

Summary: Awesome DVD, LOVED IT WITH ALL MY HEART, missing some stuff!
Review: Heres the thing. DVD is awesome. Watched all the episodes in 2 nights. Very touching, etc... One thing dissapointing... Is, 1, the extra features, and 2 they didn't put all of season 2. Now, season 1 and half way threw 2 was GOOD, but the end of 2 and all of 3-5 was THE BEST. Thought I was buying that... But still, very cool DVD... MGGBRAVES, wanted to chat with you on something... Email me ASAP at yoyoyo777@aol.com

Thanks everyone!!
