Rating: Summary: Best Season of Felicty... Hope to see season 3 &4 on DVD Review: I can't wait for this DVD. I believe that season two of Felicity is when the characters become really developed. I love seeing the beginning of Ben and Felicity's relationship. I hope to see season 3 and 4 of Felicity on DVD soon.
Rating: Summary: Season 2 - My personal fave... Review: Season 2 was definitely my favorite season of Felicity. It was the season of the infamous "bad haircut," which I thought Keri Russell pulled off remarkably well. In season 2 Felicity and Ben ride the relationship rollercoaster - going from dating to breaking up to finally falling in love. Sean and Megan unexpectedly hit it off after Megan has to move in because of a fire in the dorm. Noel dates Ruby, a freshman in Felicity and Megan's dorm (they're both RAs this year), and finds out after they've become serious that she's pregnant with someone else's baby. Javier is back at Dean and Deluca and preparing to marry Sammuel. Elena finally meets a man, but things get bumpy when he says he's saving himself for marriage. All in all, I found this season to be my absolute favorite, and I know you will too!
Rating: Summary: Love this show Review: I watched Felicity from the series premiere and I was very upset when it went off the air. Having the DVD's available definitely helps ease the pain.To answer Courtney's question: they had a whole episode devoted to what was in Meghan's box. It ended up being voodoo dolls of the whole gang, and the episode was in black and white and they were stuck in it. Kinda weird, but it answers your question.
Rating: Summary: Love Felicity Series Review: I love it! I'm so happy the 4th season is out tomorrow. I've already ordered mine.
Rating: Summary: Sweet and interesting Review: I missed out on the Felicity series when it was broadcast, so I am very happy to have the chance to see these on DVD. I loved the second season. The characters started evolving and the story lines were beleiveable (for the most part). I liked the relationships that were developing, and was truly happy that Ben and Felicity were becoming a couple.
Highlights: The Thanksgiving episode, the protest, the election and any scene with Javier. I also enjoyed how Tracy was the one who valued sex as something sacred. All the actors were really coming into their own, especially Scott Foley and Keri Russell.
Lowlights: Never being a fan of Elena's, I didn't really care for her character. I also wish there was more special features.
Overall, this is a great second season!
Rating: Summary: The Best Season. Review: The Second Season of "Felicity" was the strongest. The first season was the show trying to figure out what exactly it wanted to be. The Third and Fourth Seasons were the show straying from it's patented college realsim and evolving slowly into another corny and mundane Dawsons-Creek-like show.
But in the "Sophomore Year" collection, everything came together. The characters are wonderfully developed, their growth is believable, and their struggles are very poignant. This was the infamous season when Felicity cut her hair, and it also includes things (not to give too much away) such as student body elections and bar fights. In addition, the cinematography and lighting of this season are particularly beautiful and better than any of the other seasons. The backing soundtrack is great as well, using a lot of melodic acoustic tunes to capture the drama and essence of the series.
Rating: Summary: Felcity Season 2 Review: The show in it's four year run never received the accolade it deserved, it's one of the most stylish and compelling series about young adults. And I guess the dip of quality of Season 2 didn't help and instead became the start of people's diminished interest with the show as evidenced through its ratings.
Honestly I think the show started strong with episodes like Sophomoric and The list but towards the middle there's an obvious decline in quality but towards the end it gained its momentum back but I guess it's too late, some fans already gave up on the show. Season 2 has produced some really fine episodes like the above mentioned Sophomoric (Amanda Foreman stole all scenes she's in), The Slump, Revolutions, Ben Was Here (A great ensemble episode), The Aretha Theory, and the finale The Biggest Deal There is.
The weak points of the second season I guess is one The Ruby is pregnant storyline, it took a lot of episodes away from the regular cast, Julie's character seems to wander aimlessly, and to paraphrase the writers they break up Ben and Felicity too early disrupting the momentum.
The main selling points in the Special features are the commentaries. I love the commentary that Foreman, Miller, Grunberg, and Johnson did for Sophomoric, it's a riot and just fun to listen to. Keri Russell and Scott Speedman did a fun commentary on the List too, they've said some really funny stuffs although they seem to forget a lot of details from the show, example Scott asked Keri who made the tape to Sally, and he's not kidding! The other three commentaries were good too but those two above are my favorites. There's also an audition clip of Russell for the role and you just know she has the part. I'm disappointed that the other cast's auditions weren't included. There's also a cute Emmy parody by the cast of Law and Order, ER, and X Files. I wished they showed the actual clip when it aired in the Emmys with the laughter etc.
I highly recommend this DVD, If you're a fan of the show you probably already have this one, If you're not then watch the first season first.
Grade: A-
Rating: Summary: not as good as the first one Review: well.. every first is always better, but this season i particularly think is 'overdone' with respect to love. i mean how can she be so attached to ben, then so attached to noel, then leaves both and goes to another guy, then leaves as soon as ben clicks again? well.. guess what would happen if noel actually agreed that they be dating again? that would blow ben's chance.. i dont know.. just too much of a confused felicity.. i actually liked her because she seemed really well defined.. now i dont know what happened to her, ive yet to see season 3. my budget doesnt allow it yet :)
Rating: Summary: Response to the change in music Review: I LOVE Felicity! I can't wait to buy Season 3 & 4. The reason they changed the songs on the DVD from the original songs that were in the TV series is because of cost effectiveness. The DVD songs were just cheaper to get. Which is fine with me all-in-all. I think they're pretty good songs. In fact I've been driving myself crazy trying to find information on some of them. That's the big problem with them changing the songs, they don't give ANY information as to who the artist is or even the title of the song. I've been looking for the name & artist of the song played in Freshman season disc 1, episode 3 ("Boggled") when Felicity is watching Ben try out for track and Noel sees her there at the end of the episode. It's a great song, but I'll probably never know who sings it or what it's called. Anyway, I love Felicity and it's great to be able to watch it whenever I want to (without commercials!).
Rating: Summary: Question for the Felicity Fans- HELP! Review: I wound up watching this show through out its first and only halfway through the second season. Sorry to say that when she got her hair cut, the show lost my attention. Whenever she was on screen I kept thinking, "Why did they replace Keri Russell with a chipuchin monkey?" Anyways, my question is, Did they ever show what was in Megan's Box? If so, what was it?
