Summary: wonderful but...what happened to the music?
Review: Felicity is a wonderful show, no question, but what made it so great (aside from one of the best ensembles ever, as well as the wonderfully tender and funny storylines) was the music and how well it fit the scenes, underlined them, and made them more meaningful. I always notice the music in tv shows, and Felicity and Roswell were two of the best in terms of using music really effectively. Shows like Dawson's Creek especially would have songs that were top 20 assembly line popular and many would stick out like a sore thumb, most of the time having nothing really to do with what was going on, but with Felicty that was never the case - there was always a good array of music both in style, genre and age, and they always used songs that were unique in someway that added to the moment being played. However in this dvd for some reason they took out a lot of the songs that made some of these moments so perfect and memorable - I mean it really says something about how deeply the music was a part of the experience if i notice within watching just three episodes that at least two songs were replaced. And what is even more disapointing is that they were replaced for the most part with very uninteresting songs that all basically sound the same. I'm really at a loss as to why they would choose to do this... the show itself I guess doesn't really suffer - if you didn't know what was there you might not miss it, but I can't help but feel like something was lost. The dvd is still definitely worth owning, but I would really have liked some explanation as to why the soundtrack was edited - a song that even appeared on the first soundtrack was taken off... why mess with what worked so well?

Summary: 5 Star episodes, 2 Star DVD Set.
Review: I really love the show, but I had to rate it 2 stars, because the only "bonus" material they had was commentary. Menus are nice and touchy. I'm no expert at picture or sound, but picture looked a little granny at some points. My guess this is Buena Vista's first time for a dvd set for a tv show. I say to myself, if you really want to see a really great DVD set, it would have to be, Twin Peaks season 1, hands down. Even though it took long to come out, it was worth it! Let's just hope when Season 2 of Felicity comes out, they jam pack it with a lot of features, tv spots (Especially "Cure for the lovelorn", special b & w episode![.]), and the FELICITY clip spoofing X-Files, and ER (Which was featured at the emmys!) But most unlikely, it would just have the episodes again (ugh.)

Summary: A MUST!
Review: The first season of Felicity on DVD is a must for Felicity fans to add to your DVD collection. I miss the show so much and being able to watch the episodes takes away (well only a little anyway) from my longing to watch Felicity and Ben on Wednesday nights on the WB. My only complaint is that the other seasons are not out on DVD yet!!

Review: Are there any intentions of releasing ALL episodes? Every single season?

Summary: The Best Show EVER!
Review: This DVD is awesome! I just bought it a few weeks ago and have watched the entire season. I think that it just really relates to life in college but has a enough unreality for you not to get to depressed. Who needs those damn real life shows- fiction is definitely more interesting. I certainly hope they come back with the 3rd and 4th seasons, I would most definitely buy them.

Summary: Excellent Image of Youth and College
Review: This was a super television production. Unfortunately,I experienced college while in my thirties and could only observe some of the images depicted in this production.Fortunately, I had the good fortune to see the so many of the young kids. Of course, the names were different, but during my five years of study, there was Felicity, Ben, Noel,Julie, Meghan, Sean, Elena and Tracy, and although the appearances were different, the emotions and stories extremely similar.

A regret I have is not to have viewed this show during its run. After misssing most of the second and third seasons, and having grown exhausted with all of the other shows, I returned to "Felicity." I am very angry with myself for ever having left.

Please, if you can, furnish a date for the next season release on DVD. I hope you can expedite, as I am nearing the "old age,"
which is seventy.

Thank you for a very entertaining show.

Sincerely,

Vic Lee - vhlee@comcast.t

Summary: Felicity: Complete First Season ROCKS
Review: This show remains my favorite show in the world, even though it ended last spring. Watching all the episodes from the first season, from the beginning, is so much fun, and really takes me back. Not only are the story lines amazing, but the filming is beautifully done, the music is perfect and touching, and the comedy comes in just the right places to ease the tensions. For any Felicity fan, this is a must-have. And when is the Second Season coming out?? I want it, have to have it!

Summary: Did they really change the music?
Review: Is it true that the original music isn't on the DVD? So did they replace it with different music or just cut it out? It's disappointing because I think the soundtrack really made the show, especially the first season.

Summary: A highly recommended romantic journey!
Review: This is definitely the strongest and most touching season of the series. I loved the feel of the show, from the writing to the set design. The romantic feel of the pilot and the cliffhanger season finale are classic Felicity episodes. Creators J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves provide audio commentary for these two episodes. Whether you're a fan of the show or if you've never seen the show, this is a feel-good collection of DVDs that will take you back to the fun and innocent times of your life.
