Summary: Futurama Frustration
Review: I'll get right to the point, these episodes are even funnier than Volume 1! Just buy it already!
Having said that, I have a couple of beefs. They already have season 3 (possibly 4) on DVD in Europe. While on the West side of the pond, we just got season 2?!!(I could be wrong, but I think the European DVD's have a 5.1 audio option as well).
But here's the thing that got to me. During one of the audio commentaries, somebodty said "as we watch this, it's 2001". They recorded the commentaries TWO YEARS AGO,and we're just now getting the DVD's?! *Homer voice, shaking fist*-I hate FOX so much!! Here yhey had a good show that they barely gave a chance. Then they cancelled it while trying to shove dross like (Insert reality show title here) on us. Once they lose the Simpsons, they can bite my shiny metal...um....enough of my griping, this is supposed to be a review. So here it is recapped in a nutshells cap: Great picture,(some gorgeous 3D animation),a few entertaining commentaries, and the best cigar- stoking/booze-guzzling/foul-mouthed robot ever!(Did I mention even more funny than season one?!) Fill out the neccessary forms and buy it already, mon!

Summary: My review for the final product
Review: The second season of Futurama was even better than the first. It had a few more episodes, and even more comical stories than the first season did. Read on to see why Season Two was so cool.

I Second That Emotion - Bender gets jealous of the attention Nibbler gets on his birthday and flushes him down the toilet. Not long after, the crew goes on a rescue mission in the sewer.

Brannigan Begin Again - Zapp loses his job with the Democratic Order Of Planets and becomes a Planet Express employee.

A Head in the Polls - Bender sells his body to make some quick money, and Richard Nixon's head buys it.

Xmas Story - Fry is happy that Christmas has arrived, but no one else is. That's because in the future, Santa Claus is a robotic killing machine.

Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love - Dr. Zoidberg falls in love, but his lover ends up falling for Fry. Thus, the two become enemies and must to battle with one another.

Put Your Head on My Shoulder - Fry and Amy fall for one another, but when injured in a car wreck, Fry's head is attached to Amy's body.

Lesser of Two Evils - The professor hires a new robot. This new robot is another bending robot, and looks just like Bender.

Raging Bender - Bender becomes a fighter in a robot fighting league.

A Bicyclops Built for Two - Leela meets the last surviving member of her race and the two plan to get married.

How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back - When Hermes goes on a vacation, his replacement is a woman who falls for Fry.

A Clone of My Own - The professor makes a young clone of himself. Everyone quickly grows to hate this clone. First appearance: Cubert

The Deep South - During a trip to the bottom of the ocean, the crew finds the lost city of Atlanta. Once there, Fry falls in love with a mermaid.

Bender Gets Made - Bender joins the robot mafia.

My Problem With Popplers - The crew begins selling a new food item. However, the Omicronians (the villains from "When Aliens Attack") return, saying the things they have been selling are actually their young.

Mother's Day - Mom takes control of the world's robots in an attempt at world domination.

Anthology of Interest I - The crew uses a "what if" machine to see what would have happened in certain circumstances.

War Is The H-Word - Fry and Bender join the military just to get a discount at a convenience store, but when war is declared, they must go to do battle.

The Honking - Bender is continually pursued by a death car.

The Cryonic Woman - Fry unthaws his twentieth century girlfriend, and the two get frozen for another thousand years.

As for the DVD itself, FOX put a good deal more work into it than they did the first volume. There are deleted scenes for nearly every episode, as well as some storyboards and anamatics.

This DVD, like the first season set, has the entire INTENDED second season. Those first few episodes from what WE call the third season are supposed to be there, as this is the way the series was intended to air (but didn't.)

These are all excellent episodes, and they've got damn fine extras. My only complaint? It took WAY TOO LONG TO COME OUT! If anyone knows how to take their sweet time putting DVDs out, it's the (not-so) friendly people at Fox, which has been beautfully demonstrated with their Simpsons DVDs. IF SOMEONE AT FOX IS READING THIS, YOU NEED TO START RELEASING YOUR DVD BOX SETS A LOT FASTER! That little complaint aside, this is a highly recommended package.

Summary: Great series, slightly poor commentary!
Review: I own the first DVD set of Futurama and the commentary was well done! This set has commentary on all the episodes, but it isn't as good as the first.

Other than that, this DVD set is a must have for the Futurama fans out there! You can enjoy all your favorite episodes from Season 2 and view some interesting bonus material (including the Futurama video game!!) Also, this set includes 4 DVDs (but the last one only has 4 or 5 episodes).

Summary: Bender the offender,Fry and Leela
Review: Well, if you don't know it by now, Fox canceled Futurama.
It's no surprise because it was never on a regular schedule.
I hope the cartoon network will revive it in the form of movies. The best episodes of the season are "Bender gets made", a tribute to the movie the "Godfather" and "Goodfellas", it's the best of the bunch. I also like the episode "I second that emotion", the one where Fry falls in love. I'd like to see a movie for DVD or Matt and company to move the show elsewhere. It stands to reason that this show is too good to cancel. The DVD sales will prove it.

Summary: Good DVD Set
Review: Futurama is probably hands down one of the best cartoons as of late. It wasn't always funny at all times like South Park or Family Guy, but it has all the plot twists and stories to make the show really shine. For example, in "Mother's Day," the story of Mom, the Professor, and the creation of all the earth's robots comes to light. In other stories, like "The Cryonic Woman" and "X-mas Story," the humor that make laughter uncontrollable is certainly there. Though some of the episodes aren't as grandiose compared to some of the others, I believe all of them are great in their own light.

As for the extras, there are more deleted scenes and some pretty cool "easter eggs" that poke fun at the show's staff. Also, there was a treanslation of the alien alphabet and a still art gallery, which were pretty cool to see. And the commercials were really cool to see too. I'm not sure if everyone got this with their boxset, but I recieved a small card with information about the new video game with mine.

Overall favorite episodes: X-mas Story, The Cryonic Woman, Anthology Of Interest 1, Deep South, and A Head in the Polls.
Where else can you see Richard Nixon on a cartoon? Only Here!

Summary: Even better than vol. 1
Review: Once again Matt Groening hits paydirt with another funny season of Futurama. I loved the episode which parodies Star Trek's "Amok Time" featuring Dr. Zoidberg...it's too funny. Must get!

Summary: Almost better than the Simpsons.
Review: The NEW episodes of The Simpsons seem to be pretty dull with only a few occasional funny parts. Futurama, so far, has very intelligent and hilarious from the beginning. The plot is always wild and adventurous, the jokes are very clever, the animation is superb and the characters are larger than life! I love this show. Why ... would anyone want it banned?! When you look at all the absolute JUNK that's on TV now, cheesy sitcoms, ... reality shows, etc, it makes you appreciate the fact that Futurama ever got to see the light of day... I am so glad you can buy each season collection on DVD. It's top value! If you like the earlier episodes of The Simpsons, you'll love this :)

Summary: Futurific
Review: Well, it's official. Futurama is no longer. After four seasons of being shuffled around, those meanies at Fox gave it the axe. So now, the best place to see it is on DVD and it still stands as one of the most under-appreciated comedies on TV. It's damn funny and it's a shame that more people don't know about it. Naturally, since it comes from the creators of The Simpsons, I can't help but to compare it to that show. The animation is a lot cleaner and yes, a little more futuristic. They manage to integrate computer animation into the show that gives it a fresh look very deserving of its futuristic status.

The second season of Futurama showcases writing that's as good as The Simpsons and there's no doubt in my mind that it's just as funny. But while The Simpsons focuses more on family life and children, Futurama concerns a group of mostly single adults running an interplanetary delivery service. Naturally, there's a lot more jokes based on sex and relationships. Heck, everyone gets some in Futurama. Bender gets probed by the Proberator and even the professor plays slap and tickle with an old flame. these jokes and situations feel even smarter and more sharply pointed than dreck like Friends.

Summary: Stupid Fox!
Review: Allright, i admit it, I wasn't a big fan of Futurama when i first saw it but I have seen the light and changed my ways. I started watching Futurama along with Family Guy on Adult Swim and i got hooked. Then I picked up Season 1 on DVD, man was that cool. Now I can't wait for season 2 to come out. If it's as good as the first, I haven't seen any of the episodes in season 2, it will be a classic. But why did Fox decide to cancel this show (and FAmily Guy) right when I got interested? Because they are stupid! Nuff said.
