Wednesdays use to be 90210 and Party of Five. This show had some great moments, Charlies wedding, Kirsten and Charlie,,,,,all they went through!!! Bailey and his drinking!

Summary: Great Show, Poor Quality DVD's
Review: I was thrilled when this finally came out on DVD. I didn't pick up watching the show until it was into it's 3rd year running, so it's nice to finally see how it all started.

I am, however, kind of disappointed with the quality of the DVD's. There are constant color glitches & spots. Like every few seconds there are white fuzzy blothes bouncing around the screen, then the occassional red & green splotch here & there. Reminds me of being in elementary school in the early 80's when all they have were those films on the big reels & projectors.

Additionally, there are issues with the voices not always being in sinc with the speaker's lip movements. It's like watching a really bad kung-foo movie with the voice-overs.

I just wish they had put a little more effort into these DVD's.
It's awesome to have the show, but the poor quality is really starting to distract me.

Summary: Awesome DVD's!
Review: I was worried that Party of Five was just awesome as a memory in my head and I wasn't going to enjoy the DVD set as much as I thought I would. I was wrong! It is even better the second time around and without commercials! What a great show! If they don't release the rest of the seasons I will be crushed.

Summary: One of the best of all time...
Review: I'd put season one of "Pof5" up against any season of any show ever made...it's that good. I'm so thankful that the "Golden Globes" decided to give them 'best drama' after season one so that FOX couldn't take it off the air due to bad ratings. The extas aren't top notch but include some really good stuff. Matthew Fox, Scott Wolf, and Lacey Chabert deliver commentaries on 3 or 4 episodes (Neve I think joins them on one). Chris and Amy (creators) comment on the same episodes. The last disc has around a dozen 'featurettes' that are worth watching too. If you like character driven drama that depicts life through an honest, sincere lens...get this set.

Summary: Excellent
Review: I'm so glad this is out... every PO5 fan should own it. It's a little hard to get past the music changes at first, but after that, you can't help but enjoy it. I can't wait to get the rest of the seasons.

On the topic of season one theme songs... There were four different songs used during the opening credits at the beginning of the series before Closer to Free was decided on: Come to My Window by Melissa Etheridge, Hold My Hand by Hootie and the Blowfish, Climb On by Shawn Colvin, and Sun's Gonna Rise by Sass Jordan. I can't remember exactly how many times each one was used, but it was only once or twice each. It was probably too expensive for them to license them all for the DVDs, unfortunately. But that's the story on opening credits.

Summary: WONDERFUL
Review: It seemed like so long ago now and I had almost forgotten until I tentatively ordered and then watched the whole series over the weekend. Guys, it was like I was transposed back to that place so many years ago when the show was airing, I felt the emotion and the angst and the anticipation and I now remember why I looved the show so much. The love affair with the salingers has started all over again, I fell in love with it, I cried, I laughed and I felt every emotion the characters went through, this series truly touches your heart and takes you to a place you've long forgotten. Its deep, its deep, emotional and real. I absolutely loved it, loved it, loved it....Cant wait for next chapter to be released so I can angst all over again :)

Summary: NO OTHER SEASONS????
Review: Oh NO. They aren't going to release the other seasons. That is where it gets interesting. Please please release the other seasons and POSSIBLY get some tv commercials for it DURING LOST (with Matthew Fox) you might see a jump in the numbers. I only watch lost because of Fox. I've watched this first season over and over..I need a new one.
