Summary: It brought back memories
Review: I grew up in the 60's and followed the space program in class and on the news. This series brought back great memories. Tom Hanks did a great job of bringing the story of APOLLO to those that weren't there to experience it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Brilliant work
Review: It could have been Mars, the North Pole or even a more obscure corner of our universe. The most important point about this series is the HUMAN aspect of this magnificent effort, from the most humble shop-floor worker to the great minds behind such a huge achievement. Congratulations to Tom Hanks, HBO and their crew for such a good job!

Summary: The most significant event of the 20th century retold
Review: From the Earth to the Moon was the best popular work I have ever seen (other than the movie Apollo 13) on the effort to put a man on the Moon. From the story of the fire of Apollo 1 to Neil Armstrong's first step on the Moon and finishing with the climax of Apollo in Apollo 17, The series has something that everyone can enjoy. A must for anyone interested in Contempory History or Man's quest to reach the Stars.

Summary: Outstanding
Review: It is the greatest series I have seen on the Apollo program. Anyone who wants to be more knowledgable on the Apollo program must see this.

Summary: emotional
Review: This series really lets those of us who weren't around for the real thing experience the emotion and sheer impact of those events at that time. It's truly amazing that way. Also, it tells all the little stories that one just watching the news might not get. It also lets you know the people intimtly, so that really feel that you knew Deke Slayton, Alan Shepard, all those great great men who did great things. A truly amazing series.

Summary: Amazing and Outstanding
Review: I am a 14 year old who was not around during the era of the Apollo Program but watching this DVD made it feel I was actually living it. It brougt back the greatest, most daring and complex era in the history of mankind. We were humans who dared to explore the unknown, not knowing what lay ahead. It was one of the greatest periods of human history that came and went. If we wanted to, we would never be able to achive something so extrodinary again. It was a time never to forget. Brilliantly written, directed, and acted, I recommed this to everyone.

Summary: A Real Mini Series
Review: This mini series was truly one with effort. Never before have I seen such an attempt to show people the lunar part of the Apollo program(plus some on the Russian or then Soviet space program, the then CCCP, and also some on NASA's Mercury ang Gemini programs). Tom Hanks, along with everyone who participated in this effort, truly deserves special recgonition for this huge effort in describing some of man's attempt to go FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A series you will never forget.

Summary: One of the best Mini Series of all time.
Review: This series help younger people experince the positive thrill of the space program, that our parents experienced during the 50's and the 60's. It is also a masterfull display of special effects shots.
