Summary: THE BEST DAMNED THING HBO EVER DID!!!
Review: I hope this great movie re-opened the door to imagination for America and the rest of the world. I think it shows the splendor of our greatest adventure to date and the story behind it. Perhaps my generation and the ones to follow can go back to, and hopefully beyond, the dream of the people who got us to the moon...and not quit. The sad thing is, until we do this movie will forever remind us of the fact that we quit for absolutely no reason at all but politics. Sometimes, I wish we were still ruled by kings.

Summary: Wonderful! I loved it!
Review: What can I say? This series is fantastic. Some favorites...The segments on the tragedy of Apollo 1, the developement of the lunar module from the point of view of it's designers, the wonder of Al Bean on Apollo 12, the other side of Apollo 13, and the training of the astronauts to be not just astronauts, but scientists. I loved it on HBO and I love it in my own DVD collection now. What a great way to learn about our space program! I

Summary: Best thing on TV in a long time. A very long time.
Review: Hanks has vividly captured an era and the visionaries that peopled it. Effects, acting, story, and depth of treatment all first rate. Many sides, complex interactions, all depicted with just the right intensity.

Really appreciated the focus on the builders in the Grumman episode. All to often, the attention is only on the end product - the jockeys that get to ride the horse. But there would be no horse without the army of dedicated builders in the background. Hanks has captured the hard-nosed, competent, rising-to-the-challenge, 60's aerospace engineer mentality with grace and brilliance. It's almost like peering into a time capsule.

On a side note: It would be a wonderful thing if this and perhaps more like it could capture the imagination of a new generation to think, to dream, and to have the courage to project themselves beyond this horizon (kudos and apologies to R. A. Heinlein :))

Summary: THE ULTIMATE

Summary: An important piece of our history
Review: Several of the episodes especially stand out:

The first one, showing what a monumental task it appeared to be in the beginning.

The Apollo One episode, which shows the human toll of the program in equally human terms.

The Apollo 12 episode, which shows, better than the Apollo 11 segment, the "Gosh, I'm actually on the moon" factor.

The Apollo 15 episode, which shows the science aspect of the program and gives an irrefutable arguement for why we had to send people into space.

I hope 1000 years from now this miniseries is looked to as a monument to the beginning, and not just a curious experiment.

Summary: GREATEST SERIES EVER MADE!
Review: This is the best tv series i have ever seen! It has something for everybody like romance, drama, comedy, etc. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYBODY! My personal favorite if "THAT'S ALL THERE IS" it about Apollo 12 and boy is it FUNNY! But on a bad note if you buy it for the Apollo 13 story PLEASE DON'T. The Apollo 13 story is the worst. It never shows that astronauts, the spaceship , it barly show mission control! it is bascily about the media not space! besides that it THE BEST AND DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS!

Summary: Abosutley breath taking!
Review: As I was born only 16 days before Niel landed on the moon and said those inspiring words "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.", I was not able to apreciate the signifigance of it then. This series allows me to experience the victories, defeats, and pain that went into this awe inspiring undertaking. I look forward to showing this special series to my kids, should I ever have any.

Summary: Show this one AFTER star wars, we were there!
Review: Although my son is but 2 1/2 years old, I look forward to sitting down one Saturday and having my own special screening of the Star Wars trilogy with him. Then I'll screen From The Earth To The Moon. We actually did it! Too much of our quest for space has been lost to the history books, this movie is a fantastic way to teach and to inspire. Why can't I give this 6 stars?
