Summary: Mad about Medicine Woman!
Review: I have always been a huge fan of Dr. Quinn from the moment in came on TV. I have many of the episodes taped, but as any avid "tapers" will notice, over the years they get fuzzy, jumpy, etc. I am so THRILLED that they have finally put these jewels on DVD! I love the clean storytelling, and I love the new twist on the old west story. Season One really starts the story line off with Dr. Mike and Sully, as well as shows Micheala's knack at being a mother. I can watch these shows a million times, and I'm crossing my fingers that they release the rest of the seasons!

Summary: I love the Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman series!(esp. Joe Lando)
Review: I haven't watched the DVDs yet, but I know they'll be good. I am a huge fan of the show, and taped every episode on VHS since it started. I knew quality programming like it would probably not be airing in the future when I have kids, so I wanted to have something wholesome for them to watch one day. I was super excited to hear a while back that season one would be coming out on DVD because I was worried about my VCR tapes wearing out over time. Now I'll have this wonderful collection preserved forever! I really hope they release the rest of the seasons on DVD because I'll definitely buy them. I'll be able to freeze frame on Joe Lando without worrying about stretching tape. (hehe)

Summary: The Best show to hit television! Joe Lando is awesome!
Review: I love Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman!!!I have been a loyal and devoted Dr. Quinn fan for years and this is a must have for any fan of the show!!! I was so sad when it went off the air, and so excited when they released the first season on DVD! I have already watched my entire DVD collection and can't wait for the other seasons to be released! I have always loved the great chemistry between Micheala and Sully and it's wonderful to be able to go back to Colorado Springs to see how it all began! Even if you have never seen an episode, I guarantee that you will fall in love with Michaela, Sully and all the townspeople, and you will not be disappointed by watching these awesome shows!

Summary: Why are the DVD sets so expensive?
Review: I loved watching "Dr.Quinn Medicine Woman" when it was airing on TV. I realy want to get the seasons on DVD, but I don't understand why they are so expensive (compared to "Little House on the Prairie" or "The Waltons" DVD sets)!

Summary: Wonderful show
Review: I never watched this show when it aired on TV, so I took a chance on this DVD set. Being a fan of Little House on the Prairie, I figured it had to be similar. All I can say is that I adore this show and have already purchased Seasons 2 and 3 and will continue to purchase the sets as they are released. It is a nice show about families, love, and independence. I have been very pleased with this set as well. I've noticed a little bit of choppiness with scene transition, but overall, very good. I highly recommend!

Summary: One of the GREATEST Shows!!!
Review: I think this show is just magnificent. Everything about it is just magical. Even though she was not cast until last minute, Jane Seymour was just the PERFECT lead actress as Dr. Mike Quinn. It was fun watching the beginning episodes all over again. When I finished the first season I was being bored out of my mind because there aren't any good shows on TV anymore. I couldn't wait until the second season came out. This series was one of the best ever to be created. It had some of the best acting ever, and even the children did great work. Every character had a chance to show what they were capable of and could accomplish. This show is not just for old people; it's a show for all ages and could be watched with the entire family. I'm only a fifteen year old and still find it quite fascinating.

The DVDs themselves were also great. The quality of the picture is pretty good. The sound is Dolby Digital, so it's okay. All five discs come in pretty cool individual boxes, like the average A&E TV show box sets like the "Mr. Bean" DVD. There is no booklet; instead the episode descriptions are on the back of each volume. The makers could have chosen a better front cover and had the children on it, like the second season does. This product would be even better if there were subtitles and some pictures of each scene at the scene selection menu.

The special features were not that great and could have been better. The A&E Documentary was just brilliant. It was really interesting and you learn some interesting facts in it. It was fun seeing how Jane Seymour had looked like and changed over the past years. A commentary, some bloopers and deleted scenes might have been nice, along with some TV spots. I don't think any season DVDs has had them before, besides "Malcolm in the Middle." Hopefully the actors will come back for featurettes or show makings and do commentaries. It would also be interesting to know what the actors are doing nowadays, and why they did certain things: like why Erika Flores (Colleen Cooper) had left this amazing show.

This box set certainly deserves 5 out 5 stars definitely because of the show itself and you should buy it NOW along with the second season if you haven't done so already. It's absolutely marvelous; there's no doubt about it. No show on TV now, like this one, can compare to it. The price might be a minor problem for some and the future seasons possibly could and should be a little inexpensive. It is an excellent addition to anyone's DVD collection. I know this is a great one to mine; you can honestly watch all of the volumes over and over again and not get slightly bored at all. Hopefully, the third season will be coming out on DVD SOON! I just can't wait for it any longer. I heard it's coming out around March. You should get your copy when it comes out, because I will surely get mine.
