Summary: Fantastic Comedy
Review: This is a great collection of Rowan Atkinson's "squigley man", Mr. Bean. I have seen these epsiodes many times, and they are still funny everytime I watch them. The DVD set is great - having all of the episodes together plus some extras. One of the best features of Mr. Bean, is that it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. I disagree with those who say the episodes are missing parts - they seem to be the way I always have seen them before. I would recommend this to anyone who loves great comedy.

Summary: The Partial Bean
Review: Taking the line from the South Beach reviewer, I too am disappointed with this expurgated edition of the so-called "Whole Bean". No, I am outraged. I've been cheated! This is NOT a complete set of the Mr. Bean series. The South Beach reviewer claims many minutes are missing throughout the set. Well, I can specifically state that in the episode entitled "Do It Yourself, Mr. Bean" where Bean buys the chair, the entire section inside the store has been deleted. In that scene Mr. Bean harasses an elderly woman in the chair he wants to buy for himself. The A&E production people might have decided in their godlike wisdom that the scene should be kept from their viewing customers, probably to prevent a negative reaction against A&E. When are the providers of entertainment going to realize that we are capable of deciding for ourselves what we will or will not watch? We don't need pop police censoring our choice of material. Now A&E has at least two negative reactions from its viewing customers. I too have lost all faith in that organization. Finally, I consider this to be false advertising. And I warn all potential buyers to beware of this chopped edition that can only be called "The Partial Bean".

Review: I've always liked Mr. Bean.
Yet my local TV network, for some reason, didn't seem to air his shows on a current basis: sometimes they would air sports or some other thing instead. It never seemed to have become a standard show in television, as much as I tried to keep an eye on TV guides every once I could.
So the beauty of this DVD package is that it encloses it all. The whole Mr. Bean, plus a documentary which I found quite interesting, since it allowed me to discover that Mr. Bean had quite a career and was quite a personality in his college years.
I guess my favorite episode is that where he goes to school. The judo and the painting classes were really funny.
But what I really like about this character is how innocent he is. Despite his sometimes "psycho" personality (he does weird things) he never losses his childish mentality.

Summary: Really funny show on 3 DVD's
Review: I don't know what user "dennislee" was watching. The turkey segment is included in Disc 2 episode Merry Christmas Mr. Bean & the beach segment is included on Disc 1 episode Mr. Bean. It's not cool to rate things that you haven't even seen. It's bad for A & E to edit 2 or 3 minutes from each tv episode now on DVD, but that doesn't mean that everyone has to give it just 1 star for the 3 DVD set. Each episode runs between 23 & 25 minutes & there's 14 episodes so there's plenty of good laughs. If you're somewhat of a Mr. Bean fan, you'll love it.

Summary: Edits are Confusing, but good, entertaining DVD!
Review: This collection of the very funny Mr. Bean is indeed edited, from "shopping mall" on episode 2, where one minute his cart has a towel, and then magically a scale appears (cut out scene) to Merry Christmas Mr. Bean, etc... the edits are disconcerting. However what is left is 3 DVDs of great, funny comedy.
If you don't know Mr. Bean, there's very little Dialog, it is all physical and situational humor, and it is gut-bustingly funny. It is family suitable, as it is lacking in violence, profanity, or sexual situations. Really an all around great purchase, especially for the price. I highly recommend.
