Summary: Yes there is missing footage!
Review: Both the previous reviews are correct. Yes it is an ITV production, and yes there is footage missing from the DVD set. Ones we have noticed: 1) the turkey weigh-in, 2) the dog being let loose at the funfair out of the ticket booth, and 3) we thought there was more around the chair purchase. Still worth the purchase, but why cut-out these segments?

Summary: Mr. Bean
Review: It seems this DVD Box set has cut versions of the Mr. Bean Episodes and it confuses me why they would release this on DVD with cut versions of the Episodes. I just hope they re-release this with un-cut versions of the episodes. But still it's the same old silly Mr. Bean, so if you like Mr. Bean, get this. Or wait until the re-release (whenever that's going to be).

Summary: Complete Mr. Bean is not "Complete"
Review: I would have to disagree with the person stating that this is really the "complete" Mr. Bean. There are in fact several scenes cut. It may well indeed be true that the aired program was limited to 25 minutes. This fact in and of itself does not lend creedence in any way shape or form to the putative representation that the aired episode was "complete". Quite to the contrary, truth be known. I challenge anyone to produce a recorded performance intended for television that has aired in it's entirety. An impossible task indeed. Live episodes not withstanding of course.
Bottom line. Mr. Bean - The Whole Bean (Complete Set) is missing footage. Insignificant as this may be to some, it is nevertheless misleading to represent a product as such. It is, as a matter of fact, a statement laced with falsehood to do so.
Nevertheless, this is still a decent addition to a Rowan Atkinson collection. Hence the three star rating.

Summary: Bean - Not Uncut!
Review: Mr. Bean is a wonderful series from ITV in Britain. When I purchased the DVD set I just assumed it was complete. WRONG! At least two major segments have been sliced out (as has been mentioned earlier). While the shows are still hilarious, whoever trimmed these shows needs trimming themselves.

Summary: Good Laughs
Review: If you love Mr. Bean the movie, you might enjoy this DVD set as well.

Many of the scenes ideas from the movie came from the tv series. It is worth buying, if you have never seen any of the series before. The series give you good laughs for Bean's stupidity. I suggest you get this. Some of them may make you laugh so hard that peed in your pants.

If you have seen some / all of the series before, it might not be as worthy because some of them were edited out. Although some had been edited, it is still a good collection to keep. Don't forget that there're bonus features of the never before released in US mini-series.

Summary: Atkinson is a genius, Mr. Bean is classic
Review: I've been a fan of Rowan Atkinson's for years, so I was happy to see this series on DVD. (Everything seems to be here, contrary to rumor. Maybe those who got edited versions should see about returning them for a new copy? I've watched all three DVDs and have (maybe, though it's doubtful) seen 2 cuts.

Classic stuff I hope to share with my kids, should I ever have them. :)

Summary: THIS IS WHAT DVD WAS MADE FOR !
Review: Butchered or not, my only real complaint abotu this DVD collection is the fact I'm sick and tired of people borrowing it over and over again.
Mr. Bean is truly an uiversal phenom, everybody I know just seem to get a kick out of him. Personally I can watch the Diving Episode over and over again and laugh every time.
Mr. Bean is truly what DVDs were designed for !

Well when I last looked, the episode { I believe it was do it yourself mr.bean) featuring Bean at a store trying to buy a chair
that someone else was trying to purchase and he sabotaged the chair so the lady would not buy it seems to be a major part of the skit that was missing from the dvd. This part alone had me crying from laughter.
There are various other little bits that got chopped from the dvd release as well.
Still though,a great buy that will have have you laughing your arse off.

Summary: Mr Bean is funny
Review: I like Mr Bean for many reasons. For starters, he looks a bit like me. Secondly, he is an anti-social misfit with a funny dark side. Mr Bean gets into all kinds of trouble and does some pretty wacky stuff. Get Mr Bean if you want somthing different and funny. It is intelligent humor, creative and better than alot of junk on American TV.

Summary: VERY FUNNY
Review: I love this show. Mr. Atkinson is fuunny. I love him in Black Adder as well. I would highly recomed this set if it were not for the fact that several episodes have been edited.
I have the VHS set and bought the DVD. I was very disapointed when I realised that "the Christmas & Do it your self" Episodes were cut. I felt a little cheated since it really is not the complete Bean.
