Review: An equal-opportunity offender, "Family Guy" took the standard sitcom family, added an erudite talking dog and a leather-fetishist baby set on world domination, and let the jokes fly at a dizzying pace. It's an acquired (bad) taste that rewards the few, the willing with big-time laughs."Season 3" comes in a three-disc set that looks and feels like the studio's splendid "Simpsons" boxes. (Fox' ani sets are a lot like TV itself -- slick presentation, familiar formats, few sudden turns). Creator Seth MacFarlane and his work buddies render commentary on selected episodes, sounding like they're in the middle of a beer bust, or recovering from one. Fox adds an adult-material warning, for good reason. Bonus features are a lot more generous than on volume 1. Two decent featurettes, "Uncensored" and "Series Overview," will orient disoriented newcomers. Animatics revive 28 deleted scenes, some pretty funny. MacFarlane's animated pitch, a rough version of the pilot episode, unspools in its entirety. Fans get their holy grail with "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein," an episode rejected by Fox. The story, about the Family Guy's imbecilic beliefs about Jews and money, made it to post, but then Fox "chickened out," MacFarlane says. Archie Bunker never would have made it onto the air in the PC era, he and his pals conclude.

Summary: AWESOME! A MUST GET FOR ANY FAMILY GUY FAN!
Review: These episodes for Family Guy on DVD are AWESOME! I would say the Season 3 DVDs are a little bit more funny than the Season 1 and 2 DVDs but also with more adult jokes. Any fan of Family Guy should get all 3 Seasons on DVD. I've seen every episode about 5 times each but they are still hilarious! (I even notice some new jokes every time I watch an episode again)! This show NEVER gets boring and will keep anyone laughing for a long time. Probably even people who haven't seen a single episode will fall in love with Family Guy (I did and now I'm a big fan).

Review: Family guy season 3 is just plain awesome. It is a bit more controversial than the first 2 seasons so i wouldnt recommend young children watching it, but it has to be one of the best if not the best animated cartoon of all time. definetly rivals teh simpsons!

Summary: My favorite TV show ever
Review: Family Guy is in my opinion, the funniest show ever made. Each episode is a masterpiece that shows the hilarious antics of Peter Griffin and his family and friends. I have owned both this collection as well as the 1st one since around the time they were released and I still watch them all the time. The shows are that funny that you will watch them numerous times quoting your favorite scenes as they appear. This is one dvd collection that you will want to own if you like Family Guy at all, as it is definitely worth the money.

Summary: "How ruthlessly absurd"---Stewie
Review: I have all the Simpsons series DVD releases as well as King of the Hill, South Park and, heck, even God, the Devil and Bob. The DVDs I play the most, though, are Family Guy. Every time I watch them, I appreciate something new. There are absolute absurd moments like when Peter is in the soundproof box so he can ignore Brian in "Screwed the Pooch" or when a hurricane blows away Asian reporter Trisha Takwanawa in "One if by Clam, Two if By Sea," hilarious lines like Peter proudly announcing that he's invited to a "polio" match with Lois' father, or sailors singing in Stewie's fantasy that he's "a worldclass poof" in "The Thin White Line," and cool references like Richard Simmons' `Sweatin' to Books on Tape' or Peter painting his car like the General Lee in "To Live & Die in Dixie" and then forgetting to roll the window down when Brian attempts to jump in like Luke Duke. There is just too much good stuff to mention. That is why these episodes do not get old. Contrary to what a previous review wrote, you CANNOT watch these episodes once. Now here's what you get:
Disc 1:
The Thin White Line: A listless Brian gets a job as a police dog due to his uncanny ability to sniff out drugs. Actually, he becomes too good at his job and ends up at a rehab clinic where Peter decides to join him: "I'm on vacation. Oh, and if they ask, I'm also on smack."
Brian Does Hollywood: The second part of Thin White Line. Brian goes to LA to find his calling and ends up directing porn. His flamboyant cousin Jasper is hilarious.
Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington: Peter's employer is taken over by a cigarette conglomerate and they make him president of the company. Includes an "appearance" by Martha Stewart.
One if by Clam, Two if By Sea: The Brits get it in this episode when they turn the Drunken Clam into a British pub. Great Peter line: "We kicked your ass in WWII & we can do it again."
And the Wiener Is: Peter brags about being better than his son at everything, until he sees Chris' extra large manhood.
Death Lives: Peter has Lois go on a scavenger hunt for their wedding anniversary so he can go golfing (great idea!). Features a return of "Death."
Lethal Weapons: Lois fears her karate is bringing violence into her home which is a different take from the usual husband is jealous when his wife kicks someone's butt for him storyline.
The Kiss Seen Around the World: Meg becomes an intern at the news station alongside nerdy Neil Goldman. The "phony"guy was way over used in this one.
Disc 2:
Mr. Saturday Knight: With Mr. Weed dead and the toy factory destroyed per his will, Peter pursues his dream of being a jouster at the Renaissance fair. Includes a reference to the Electric Company and Peter as a prostitute is hilarious.
A Fish Out of Water: Peter becomes a fisherman and must kill a legendary man-eating fish to pay off a loan.
Emission Impossible: One of my favorites. Lois & Peter want to have another baby and Stewie sets out to spoil their plans.
To Live & Die in Dixie: Chris identifies a convenience store robber and the family is put in the witness protection program in the Deep South where Chris finds a girlfriend and Stewie discovers a hankering for bluegrass.
Screwed the Pooch: Hilarious episode! Brian impregnates Lois' father's prized race dog and Peter must choose between his best friend and the newly established tolerance his father-in-law shows towards him.
Peter Griffin: Husband, Father...Brother?: Another favorite. Peter discovers a black ancestor who was enslaved by Lois' family and tries to get in touch with his black roots.
Ready, Willing, and Disabled: Joe loses a robber and contemplates leaving the police force until Peter convinces him to enter the Special Person's Games and, like with South Park's take, steroids enter the picture. Great reference to `Touched By an Angel' ("Now where did the angel touch you.").
A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas: After several unfortunate events, Lois goes off the deep end. Hey, let's see an entire KISS Saves Santa!
Disc 3:
Brian Wallows and Peter Swallows: As part of his community service, Brian takes care of a mean old hag who ends up having a lot in common with him. This episode is almost touching.
From Method to Madness: The Griffins meet up with a nudist family.
Stuck Together, Torn Apart: Peter's jealousy almost ends his marriage while Stewie and Brian are glued together.
Road to Europe: Stewie is mesmerized by a public television children's show and sets off to England to join it. Meanwhile, Lois and Peter go to Kisstock and Peter is appalled (as would any KISS fan) that Lois does know the words to "Rock and Roll All Nite."
Family Guy Viewer Mail #1: Here's hoping there will be a #2. Three tales about Peter becoming a gelatinous blob (its hard to tell the difference...just kidding), the Griffins having superhuman abilities and a "Little Rascals" take-off.
When You Wish Upon a Weinstein: Controversial, never-aired episode where Peter hopes to make his son Jewish so he will be successful.

Review: One of the greateast shows ever. This DVD has awesome episodes and not one of them din't make me laugh uncontrollably. I'm so glad Family Guy is coming back in May and I'm looking forward to see what American Dad will be like. Once again, every episode made me laugh uncontrollably.

Summary: The greatest cartoon and tv show ever
Review: This is one of the funniest tv shows to ever air on tv, period. The Simpsons were funny but its stale dnd never changes. The only change ive notice about the show now is it has more violence, dont know why? This show changes and actully keeps it that way. Me and a friend of mine recite lines from the show every day at work, its such a funny show and every espiode has at least 10 or more meomorable parts to it. I cant wait for it to be put on the air again!

Review: I want to first off say that I am not a kid, I just used the kids review form so I would not have to give my name and stuff. I would like to say secondly that I know you will all say my review is not helpful because I did not give this DVD set 5 stars, but I do not care. Now, onto the DVD. 22 episodes on 3 discs. Very skimpy on special features compared to my simpsons and futurama DVD's (which by the way i reccomend over family guy) You can watch the episodes really only once each. Its is not very funny the 2nd time you watch it, it just gets boring and repetitive. And i know what im saying here will really piss you people off but can you honestly say that family guy isnt just one big ripoff of the simpsons? A clone that will never be as funny or succesful as the simpsons? So there you have it. Don't buy this DVD. If you like the show, just watch the reruns on cartoon network. Youre not missing much if you buy the DVD, now that the "unaired" episode has now aired several times including one time on Fox. DO NOT BUY!

Summary: Seth does it again!!
Review: Ah, yes..more of the clever humor from Seth in this box set. The first disc is my favorite, there are a lot of really good episodes on it (The Thin White Line, Brian Goes To Hollywood, And The Wiener Is.., Lethal Weapons) It doesn't stop there, though. The second disc has one of the episodes I would have to site as one of my overall favorites from the show (Screwed The Pooch) and Emission: Impossible. I would recommend this in addition to Seasons 1 and 2, they are both so good, you just have to own them both.

Summary: Excellent Collection - YOU MUST OWN THIS!
Review: The series was just hitting its stride with the third season. All the episodes in this set are wonderful pieces of television. The writing was smarter yet they still had plenty of slapstick thrown in. FOX was stupid to cancel this show, and thankfully they learned from it.
That's all I can say; you have to see this set, and you will be converted.
