Summary: family guy freakin rocks
Review: I just recently bought this DVD and i have to say it is awsome. Every fan of the show has to own this DVD, and if they dont they're freakin nuts. The special features are great and the episodes(22 to be exact) are even better. I hope fox reconsiders putting family guy back on the air with new episodes, because it is the funniest show i have ever seen. Stewie for govenor!!!!

Summary: One of the funniest shows ever
Review: I remember discovering Family Guy during it's first season on Fox and absolutely loving it. I tuned in every week, and even tried to look for it when Fox would shuffle it around. When I heard about it's cancellation I was upset. I re-watched the episodes both on DVD (I own both volumes) and watching it on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim (Probably the best thing on TV right now). I am now more mature, more cynical, more sarcastic, and a much bigger conaisseur of pop culture I found Family Guy even funnier! Also, since it had been almost 2 years since I had seen the show, it was almost like I had never seen the episodes before. So now, after re-watching the episodes I can safely say this: Only one other show (Seinfeld) can make me laugh as hard as I do when I watch Family Guy. I find myself in fits of tear enducing, stomauch hurting, almost painful laughter when I watch this show. The jokes never let up, there is not a dull spot in any show and the hyperknetic pacing and pop culture cut-aways are brilliant. Plus, Family Guy is what I like to call "the anti-sitcom" it will deconstruct your basic sitcom devices, and whenever you think it wil descend into an overly sappy, emotional lovefest, it will throw a quick joke which destroys any sentimentally that was present. For lack of a better term, Family Guy is just so refreshing and original.

Review: ... Family Guy is one of the most entertaining, hillarious, and witty shows ever to be created. this dvd set is a fine collection to anybody, whether you are familiar with family guy or not, that is a fan of humor at its finest... family guy will always hold a special spot in my heart and i hope that it is one day brought back in some form. buy this dvd set, its wonderful, and if nothing else with high enough sales maybe just maybe it will make a difference.

Review: Oh why did you cancel this great show FOX!?WHY!? Well this second (and last) dvd set of Family Guy is extremely funny. More outrageous laughs like seeing the tragic effects of child stardom on Elroy Jetson to seeing ALF reminisce about his drug problems on E! True Hollywood Stories.There are even funnier lines in this set as well. The Weinstein episode was really funny too,and now I see what all the hype was about.It also featured the voice of Ben Stein who I think is really funny.
Of course,as a Catholic,I didn't care too much for how the nuns were depicted.But hey,with Family Guy EVERYONE is a target!So you just have to take it with a grain of salt and laugh.The extra features were nice on this set as well. So buy this dvd set already!It's freakin' funny!!

Review: When it first aired in 1999, Family Guy was an instant hit on the Fox network, so it's no surprise that the first two seasons were released on DVD. And now, the third (and sadly, final) season has gotten the DVD treatment. Read on to see what made the third season so excellent. The Thin White Line - Brian becomes a successful drug-sniffing dog in an attempt to fill a void in his life, but gets addicted to cocaine in the process, so he has to go to rehab. Brian Does Hollywood - A continuation of the last episode. The Griffins find Brian in Hollywood, directing a porno. Meanwhile, Stewie plans to use a TV appearance to take over the minds of everyone on earth. Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington - Peter's toy company gets bought out by a larger corporation whihc begins marketing cigarettes to children. So that he doesn't speak out about this, the company makes him president. One If By Clam, Two If By Sea - A hurricane destroys every building in town except for The Drunken Clam, the bar Peter and his friends love. Unfortunately, it is turned into a British bar by the new owner. And the Wiener is... Peter always beats Chris at competition, but he soon discovers Chris has a "big" advantage over him in life. Death Lives - In a near-death experience, Death tells Peter that Lois will leave him if he doesn't pay more attention to her. Lethal Weapons - Lois becomes an excellent fighter and Peter uses this to drive New Yorkers out of their town. However, this leads to violence in the Griffin home. The Kiss Seen Around the World - Meg applies at the local news station because of her crush on Tom, the newscaster, but soon finds herself walking alongside Neil, the biggest nerd in school. Mr. Saturday Knight - Mr. Weed, Peter's toy factory boss, dies suddenly, putting Peter out of a job. He decides he'll become a jouster in a renaissance faire - his lifelong dream. R. Lee Ermey guest stars. A Fish Out of Water - Peter buys a boat, but gives up all of his belongings as collateral. To pay for it, he decides to go after a legendary man-eating fish for reward money. Emission Impossible - Stewie hears that his parents are planning on having another baby. To prevent this, he shrinks down and enters Peter, so that he may destroy his reproductive cells. Wallace Shawn guest stars. To Live and Die in Dixie - The Griffins are relocated to a town in the south when Chris identifies a robber (who breaks out of prison and vows revenge.) Waylon Jennings guest stars (sadly, he died not long after this.) Screwed The Pooch - Brian sues Lois' father for custody of his dog's unborn puppies. Peter Griffin: Husband, Father...Brother? - The Griffin family discovers it has a black ancestor, and Peter soon discovers the awful truth - Lois' family OWNED HIS family in the slave days. Ready, Willing, and Disabled - When Joe fails to capture a thief, Peter tries to help him regain his confidence by entering him in a competition for the disabled. A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas - A series of events causes the family's Christmas to go horribly wrong, including Lois becoming insane. Brian Wallows and Peter's Swallows - Brian is arrested for drunk driving and forced to look after a cranky old woman. From Method to Madness - Peter rescues a man from the ocean, and Meg falls in love with the man's son. But there's a slight catch - this is a family of nudists. Stuck Together, Torn Apart - Lois meets an old male friend, and this makes Peter jealous. The two take a trial separation, during which time Lois goes out with Quagmire, and Peter goes out with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Road To Europe - Brian and Stewie board a plane they think is going to England, but they end up in the middle east. Family Guy Viewer Mail #1 - The family members answer some very bizzare fan mail questions - acted out as three separate show segments. When You Wish Upon a Weinstein (UNAIRED EPISODE) - After meeting a successful Jew, Peter tries to talk Chris into becoming a Jew so he will also be successful. Ben Stein guest stars. The extras are nice, but a bit lacking. We get animatics (quite a few), an early demo version of the first half of the first episode (featuring a blonde Lois), the cast's comments on the censors, as well as comments on other issues. Many episodes also have commentary. Sadly, the segment cut from Road To Rhode Island wasn't restored. That forces me to cut one star from the final product's grade. And there you have it. The third and final season of Family Guy. If you like this show, you MUST buy this! Hopefully the show will make a comeback eventually...

Summary: Not worth the money
Review: During it's first season, Family Guy was hilarious and edgy. By the end of the second season, the shock value had worn off and the jokes had lost most of their luster. By the third season, it was just barely worth watching. Stuey's take over the world routine had gotten more than a little thin, and Peter Griffin had more or less turned out to be a bad Homer Simpson/Hank Hill clone without the luxury of being sympathetic or very funny. The shows vulgarity had once been an asset but had now degenerated into a huge disadvantage. Though there were a few funny episodes, the DVD is only worth buying for hardcore fans.

Summary: Get Seasons 1&2, skip this one
Review: The original writers left the show after the first two seasons, due to other projects. New writers were brought in at the last moment and the whole basis of the show went from clever humor and nostalgic references to fart jokes. Do yourself a favor and skip the third season, keep the first two seasons, which were in my opinion, gold.

Summary: Best Animation Show Ever
Review: This show is by far the greatest comedy shows ever because it teaches you how to laugh at all the funny things we have in American society. This is one of those shows in which you can watch the same episodes serveral times and still find them hilarious. The characters, voices, and clever jokes make this show an enjoyable laugh for the entire family.

Summary: Best Cartoon Ever!
Review: Family Guy is the Best animated show ever. It is hilaious. I never heard of the show when it was on Fox, but watch it every night on Cartoon Network. I also own the Volume 1 DVD. It was the best $40 I ever spent.Recommend it.
