Review: My brother and I got our mother the first season for Christmas and I preordered this second season for us to give to her for Mothers' Day this year. What perfect timing.
This is one of the best television shows that I grew up watching. It reminds me of the stories that my grandfather would tell us when he was growing up during the Depression.
A cute story about the theme song...My mother would watch this show again when it was in reruns on cable years ago. We had a beagle that would get excited when the latter theme song would play because she knew that it was time to go for a walk.
