Summary: Lighten UP, folks...
Review: ... it was just a harmless April Fool's joke. What's the big deal? So you watched something totally unrelated to the 'Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut' cliffhanger and had to wait a couple more weeks- big whoop. As Saddam would say, "Relax, guy! You need a rest!" A sentiment which I feel was aimed at the viewing audience just as much as those wacky head-flapping, beady-eyed Canadian folks. Although it's not stated as being one of the episodes on the box, the 'Terrance & Phillip: Not Without My Anus' episode is included along with the other four shows that are listed on SP Volume 4. It's my fave episode on this disc, although 'Chicken Lover', with the Booktastic Bus and Carman's 'authoritah', had some pretty wild moments. School counselor Mackey's descent into the world of substance abuse in 'Ike's Wee-Wee' was pretty cool to watch as well. Sadly, after viewing 'T&P:Nw/oMA', I find part two of 'Cartman's Mom...' to be somewhat anticlimactic. I'm happy to see that they decided to include this as a bonus on the disc, although it's placed after both parts of the 'Cartman's Mom...' show on the menu list, rather than between the two. I guess Trey & Matt didn't want to further alienate the SP viewers who didn't have a great sense of humor. Oh well... I'm probably among the vanguard who consider the Trey & Matt episode intros to be entertaining, although I must agree with some of the other reviewers about the guys being a bit too self-absorbed. The best intro was for 'Cartman's Mom...' Part Two. The duo played some 'recorded phone messages' (staged, of course) of a few irate SP viewers about the 'Terrance and Phillip' debacle. I was a wonderful jab at the viewers who just couldn't take a joke, especially the last caller 'committing suicide by gun'. And just when I thought 'SP' fans were among the more emotionally stable couch potatoes in TV land! 'Late!

The most important feature is the inclusion of the TERRANCE AND PHILLIP episode as a bonus track. It is not listed on the box anywhere. In addition to the episodes, I found the Trey & Matt introductions to be oddly amusing and downright disturbing. Well presented as always, clear as a bell, and most importantly, no Comedy Central Logo in the corner. Still, hats off to Comedy Central for holding onto this show.

Review: I had to do some shopping around before I discovered this Volume. This is the best one. Cartman is the highlight of two of the episodes with [the episode about Cartman's Mom] and [the second episode about Cartman's Mom]. This one has him doing the T-party gag, the "Westside Homey" gag, and the "Come Sail Away" Gag. Funny Stuff. Then there is the Chicken .. episode. This has Cartman doing the "Respect My Authataw!!" gag. Funny Funny stuff. Now, if only they will release the episodes where Cartman tries to get 10 million dollars (Tooth Ferry, Boy Band, Religious Cult, etc). Those were the funniest to date.

Review: I think this is the best south park DVD out of all of them. It has Cartmans mom is a dirty slut, Cartmans mom is still a dirty slut (where you find out who the dad is), chickenlover, and my favorite ike's wee-wee (drugs are bad ummmk) Buy this video it is sweeeeeeeet!

Review: Now that the complete seasons of South Park are coming out, I have no need to buy these best-ofs, but if you are strapped for cash and really love South Park, these sets are great because they're presented in chronological order, unlike the Friends best-ofs. Also, they're quite cheap, so you probably won't lose a big amount of money. Best-of-Volume 4 is the best. It has the most constistently hilarious episodes, the last of the first season and the first four of the second season. 'Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus' is features here, too, though it's not advertised on the cover. Great little bonus, especially since this episode rarely makes it to TV. The episodes featured in this best of are: Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut: This is the gut-bustingly funny season finale for season one. Cartman is on a mission to find his father, and it's no easy task, because his mom is what we reffer to as 'bear who can't keep legs together.' This episode ends on a cliffhanger that made lots of people angry. Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut: This episode was the second of the second season. It aired after 'Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus,' but it comes right after the first Cartman's Mom episode. It is pretty funny, but weaker in comparision to the other episodes on this set. Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus: This is one of the most brilliant things to ever go to television. It makes absoloutly no sense. Things happen that have no importance to the plot ('I'm going to put on a pirate costume!') and tons of fart jokes. Nobody liked it when it aired, but that's OK, 'cause now we all know what a masterpiece it is. Don't miss this. It's the best of the set. Chickenlover: Someone is violating chickens. It's up to Barbrady to learn to read so that he can figure out the clues that the Chickenlover has left at his crime scenes. This episode is very funny and a favorite of many fans. And ALWAYS remember to RESPECT MY AUTHORITY! Ike's Wee Wee: My second favorite of this set, this epsisode features the kids misunderstanding the meaning of circumcisn or however the heck you spell that. Mr. Mackey also becomes a drug addict in the funniest moments of this episode. The DVD quality of this is great. I don't understand people complaining about the picture quality and sound. They both were fine, especially the picture. There weren't any special features on the DVDs, but there are the usual hilarious introductions my Trey and Matt. These ones aren't quite up to the high-standards of their 'Fireside Chats,' but they're still funny. The Terrance and Phillip episode features them in a parking lot chat and the rest have them as entertainers at a retirement home. I am very sad that more introductions won't show up on the season DVD sets. Overall, this is a fine DVD, but if you have money to spend, the complete season are even better! 'Later

Review: Okay, well- I'm adding this part to all my South Park Reviews: For this price for four episodes, this is a great deal. I remember buying the VHS versions first (which are split up differently), and feeling I got ripped off on those once I saw how great these DVDs were. I'll review each individual episode the best I can remember now... (oh, and i forgot to mention this in my earlier reviews, but i guess better late than never: The commentary before each episode by Matt and Trey are priceless. Very funny stuff.) Terrance and Phillip- Not Without My Anus: I'll talk about this bonus episode first, because I find it to be one of the most underrated 30 minutes in TV history. I couldn't stop laughing at some of the stuff in the show- and I have nothing against Canadians (although I DO have something against Celine Dion... woo hoo!). This episode alone is worth the price of the DVD... and if you've watched the movie and enjoyed Terrance and Phillip's antics on the big screen, you'll love them in this. Cartman's Mom... Part I: In the quest to find out who Cartman's Dad is, it becomes evident Mrs. Cartman was quite the party-girl back in the day. It's a Cartman Episode, so hey... it's funny. Cartman's Mom... Part II: The conclusion of the first part... I agree with the other reviewer in terms of it being anticlimactic. It's the worst of all the "cartman" episodes... but it's still not the worst of the series (that honor goes to "Flashbacks"). Chicken Lover: Heh heh. There's some guy in South Park doing stuff to chickens, and officer Barbrady is on sabatical to learn how to read. Cartman goes off and takes the law into his own hands in this COPS spoof. This is a great episode. Watching Cartman always gets me laughing, and this is no exception. Ike's Wee Wee: The title refers to Ike's Brisque (sp?). I love Ike, and this is one of those episodes where he shines. It focuses on the relationship between Kyle and his little brother, which I thought was a change of pace from the standard four kids interacting with each other. Solid episode.

Review: When I bought this DVD I was only expecting 4 episodes but it also includes the Terrance And Phillip Episode so I was very happy. The DVD includes all great episodes. They are Hilarious. This may possibly be the best South Park DVD out.
