Summary: An epic take on American Westerns
Review: First of all, I have to get this out of the way: The long episode in the desert is a direct steal from the ending of the silent movie, "Greed". Ok, now on with the review: this is a great film that takes the cliches of American Westerns and turns them inside out by giving them a European sensibility. Example: where Americans see a vast Western landscape full of opportunity for future settlers, the Europeans who made this film see bleakness and nihilism. Where Americans want their heroes to be good and pure, the hero here is simply another crook (Eastwood) who survives the bestial evil of his captor who tries to kill him. It is all done with so much style and wit that it surpasses most Hollywood Westerns. The music is unforgettable and perfectly matches the action onscreen. Wonderfully engrossing!!

Summary: One of the Best Westerns Ever
Review: This is one of the best westerns and best "guy" movies ever. It's long, but it's fun or at least interesting all the way through. If you like trains, the sight of the European rolling stock done up to look American may strike you as kind of corny. But it sort of adds to the appeal and the sense of the overblown story. Great stuff.

In one scene Tuco is having his charges read at his soon-to-be curtailed hanging, one of which is "despoiling a white virgin". Like the distinction mattered.

Summary: The best western ever captured on film!!!!!
Review: By far the most stylist and (without a doubt) the most beautiful western ever made. There is no western out there that can top The good, The Bad and the ugly (No, not even the american ones). From the explosive begining, to the suspenful ending, this film will keep the viewer guessing what the next frame will reveal. Leone is pure genius!!! No American director could ever come close to shotting a western like this one. Every shot is sweet dose of imagery and articulate storytelling. If you don't like Westerns, give this one a chance, if you're not hooked by the first fifteen minutes, go back to watching your sorry John Wayne copies.

Summary: The Ultimate " Man Against Man " Epic
Review: Sergio Leone's The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly is truly one of the greatest films ever made. Leone proves why he is a genius. Monumental epic centering around three men and their quest for gold should not be missed by any man. Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach are all in top form as rivals for the gold. Morricone's score is just pure genius. Long, violent, and funny, this film revolutionized the Western as well as other genre's and is still being imitated today. The showdown in the cemetary is the greatest ever filmed. Don't miss this picture if you love " man against man " struggles.

Summary: "If your gonna shoot, shoot, don't talk"
Review: What more can be said, this movie ranks in the top ten best ever movies. There just so unique, special, trend setting, different!!! The facial close ups, the pictures say it all, little diaologue. It's like life, cut the bullshit, actions speak louder than words. "Course I know the man your talkin' about, Douglas Mortimer, Colonel Douglas Mortimer, finest shot in the Carolinas". The Characters, where did they come from? Who was best Eastwood, Van Cleef, Gian Maria Volante, Wallach, Kinski. I don't know!!!
