Rating: Summary: First-rate entertainment and subliminal education! Review: I watch this movie about once every year! I have not found a soul who does not like this movie! This movie is captivating. It does something to your spirit. It shows how men can be felled as fast as a trigger can be pulled and a bullet can travel, and as fast as the trigger puller makes a "decision" that he should pull the trigger. And that "decision" depends on attributes like greed, fear, and as well as fairness. It shows how an inherent sense of fairness on part of "The Good" "prepares" him to eventually win the battle against "The Bad" and "The Ugly". Whether that "preparation" means developing quick reflexes or having the wisdom to empty Tuco's revolver, Clint Eastwood performs superbly. "The Bad" is eventually eliminated and "The Ugly" gets his fair share of the gold. And we all get first-rate entertainment and subliminal education!
Rating: Summary: What a movie! Review: It's ironic that the best film about the American West was directed and produced by foreigners from Spain and Italy. Of course, the 3 main stars are Americans, but the rest of the cast are Europeans. This movie has everything: exciting action, brutal violence, some sadness, and a wicked sense of humor. Eli Wallach as the bandit "Tuco" easily steals the show; his performance is truly memorable. Clint Eastwood is perfect as the quiet, clever yet ruthless bounty hunter who teams with and occasionally torments Tuco, and Lee Van Cleef is absolutely evil as "Angel Eyes".

Rating: Summary: Excellent western Review: The third part in the man with no name trilogy-The Good, the Bad,and the Ugly,is one of my very favorite westerns. The story is very good about three outlaws looking for $200,000 in gold.Clint Eastwood(the good),Lee Van Cleef(the bad),and Eli Wallach(the ugly)are absolutely perfect in their roles. The cinematography is outstanding, and the locations are stunning.(fimed in Spain if I'm not mistaken.)The musical score by Ennio Morricone is awesome. It adds immeasureably to the atmosphere of the film.Overall, this is an excellent film, and one of the best westerns ever.
Rating: Summary: A cornerstone Review: There are 2 kinds of film in this world, gringo. Those that are cinematic classics, and those that are not. This is one of the former. The three leads are truly magnetic in their screen presence. Eli Wallach, Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef are all tremendous in their own way. Every time I'm asked to say who is best, I always get close to saying Wallach, and then the stone-faced visage of Eastwood comes into my head. It's impossible to say who is the best, but it may be a fair assessment to say that all three are outshined from an unexpected quarter... Ennio Morricone's soundtrack has entered the realms of cinematic lore as being amongst the best ever written. It twists with the flow of the landscape, and always marks out the scenes perfectly. Wallach running through the cemetary is indelibly etched in my mind thanks to the brilliant scoring work (which I first heard because of, strangely enough, Metallica). 2 and a half hours is quite a stretch, but once you have seen the poignancy, nihilism and general brilliance of every frame, you will want to watch it again and again. Watch it, and be enriched.
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Western Ever Made Period. Review: Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach play the three main characters (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly) in search of buried gold money,in this the greatest western ever made by Sergio Leone. The musical score and final duel with loaded pistols in a large graveyard are among the famous scenes ever done in a movie and have become the stuff that film legends are made of. Screenplay by Age Scarpelli, Luciano Vincenzoni and Sergio Leone. Great Music score by Ennio Morricone.
Rating: Summary: Hey Bloooooooondieeeeeee Review: One of the best movies ever made. Definitely a Classic. I envy those who didn't see it yet, they get to experience watching it for the first time. The story is about three outlaws seeking a buried treasure. The characters are very interesting and the dialogue is very very sharp, not to mention the very enjoyable Eli Wallach as "Tuco" But the real prize is the musical score by Ennio Morricone. Basically everything in this movie is perfect. I strongly recommend it for everyone. As for the DVD it has seven previously deleted scenes and few facts about the movie.
Rating: Summary: 'There are two kinds of people in this world my friend' Review: This is a fine DVD transfer of a masterful work. The vibrant colours are a joy to behold and the extra scenes are a definite plus, highlighting as they do how well dubbed the film as a whole is. Despite strong competition the acting plaudits must go to Eli Wallach; a barnstorming show of comic bravado and facial tics. The story rattles along at a furious pace with some strong set pieces, a great emotional pull and a historical sweep that manages to replicate the great confusion of war. Leone directs without pretension yet the result is something quite extraordinary. Add Morricone's memorable score and the rest is history. Just two more DVD transfers to go (Once upon a time in....the west, America). First we shall see Leone's greatest, Once upon...America released in its entirety in our cinemas.
Rating: Summary: BEST OF THE "DOLLARS" TRILOGY! Review: This film is the longest, and the best of the "Dollars" trilogy. It runs at 3 hrs, but it moves at a quick pace so you don't feel like it is 3 hrs. In the 3hrs. we are treated to several exciting and funny sequences.Eli Wallach is the perfect sidekick for the man with no name as misery loves company right! My favorite scene is where Eli and Clint steal the dynamite from the Union Soldiers and blow up the bridge("It is a court martial to even imagine blowing it up! ), and the showdown in the cemetery is priceless.
