You'll get two components in the space of one, with the additional advantage of not having to perform any complicated hookups--you'll only have to run one audio-video cable to your TV. Making your life even easier, the PV-D4741's universal remote control will let you operate most brands of TV and audio receiver. Plug your camcorder or game console right into the front panel's AV inputs. During playback, the remote's commercial-skip button advances the tape in one-, two-, or three-minute increments. The VCR component also features a trilingual onscreen display (Spanish, French, and English) and a self-setting clock with backup capabilities. The DVD player offers DVD smooth-motion scan at five speeds (up to 100x real time), auto-switching field/frame still, multiple DVD viewing angles (on applicable discs), and repeat/skip-forward/reverse/resume functions. The system offers a choice of and standard composite-video, S-video, and pristine component-video outputs (for use with applicable TVs and surround receivers).
