Rating: Summary: A real gem Review: I'd have to agree with all the positve reivews of this film, I've seen it a good few times as well and always end up splitting my sides laughing.A particular favourite of mine the the "Injun" scene when the straight laced ladies from town start to get infected with Jack's carry on when they call in to see how the newly married couple are getting on. The opening scene is one of the funniest I have ever seen as well, poor old grandma! I could go on and on about this one, but it would be wasting your time.....buy it and laugh for yourself.
Rating: Summary: favorite all time movie Review: it's hilarious, the more times you watch it, the more times you find funny little innuendos that you missed before.
Rating: Summary: Give me more Review: Jack rocked this. He played his part perfectly. I laughed myself silly watching this movie. It was predictable but hell we all like a movie that touches home base every once in a while don't we. If you rent this movie you will probably want to buy it so just buy it first and watch it with style. A clear picture is worth an extra few bucks. VHS is fading away in front of your eyes.

Rating: Summary: A Film That Will Hook You. Review: My friends and I know this movie word for word. Why this film is not recognized as a classic, is hard to understand. Look at the cast. Listen to the lines. While this is not Gone With The Wind, it is in it's own right, a perfect little film. In the title, I stated this film will hook you. That has been the case with everyone that I have shown it to. At first, they say, "Well, it was pretty good". Then, weeks later, thinking back about the characters, what they said and how they said it, another viewing is requested. And, another. Until, they chuckle in anticipation of the next line. I recently found another film that hit me the same way,O Brother Where Art Thou? Everything about both films just seems perfect. I prefer not to expand further on the details. Watch them just once. Then try not to watch them again.
Rating: Summary: Missing some scenes and lines. Review: My wife and I both agree that the DVD seemed to be missing some scenes and lines, particularly "We don't need no stinkin' batches" by Belushi.

Rating: Summary: just worth the watch every time Review: This disappoints me that he didn't get good ratings
I've watched this film that I have on dvd 5 times already
and I always laugh at the lines in those movies
worth the time and laugh and smiling
He cracks me up
the film is touching
powerful
funny
and very interesting
I like how it ends
the soundtrack goes well with the movie
The plot is really interesting
when I watched the movie trailer online I wanted to go get the movie on dvd. and when I bought it I wasn't let down. It was very entertaining. I will still watch this one. He did a great job directing this one as well. NOt easy to do as I said before. I heart the feel of the film as well
It also explores those times very well just like the times in Chinatown.
Rating: Summary: A Real Classic - Laugh til you cry Review: This is a must see movie. Cast is outstanding, crazy plot with hilarous scenes. You'll laugh from beginning til end
Rating: Summary: A DEFINITE LAUGHER Review: This was the first incarnaction of Jack reading the phone book: You don't care what's being said because Jack's saying it. GOIN' SOUTH is so pointless it can't help but be funny. The scene where Jack devours the boiled chicken is hysterical (then dead panning to Mary Steenburgen, "How about a little DE-sert?"). I wonder how much of this film was off the script and how much was improved. GOIN' SOUTH isn't ground breaking comedy, but it is a definite laugher.
