Summary: Vibrant, Awesome, TOMBSTONE delivers
Review: The transfer to DVD brings sharp vibrant pictures and crisp sound. Besides several historical inacuuracies TOMBSTONE delivers. Memorable quotes abound in the movie. Val Kilmer, as 'Doc', gives a 10 star performance. TOMBSTONE on DVD is definatley worth it.

Summary: the best movie made about Wyatt Earp
Review: I am a very big fan of the old west and a very big fan of Wyatt Earp. This movie potrays exactly what happened to the Earps and Doc Holiday. I have read every book by Wyatt earp and this movie goes right along with the worlds of the person who was really there. I have every movie about the O.K. Corral gunfight and this is the best one. If you like westerns then you'll love this movie.

Summary: Tombstone is the western for the 90's.
Review: Tombstone is one of the greatest westerns ever made. I'm not big on westerns but this is a movie I can watch over and over. The characters come to life with excellent lines, (especially Val Kilmer), great shootouts, and a little humor for good taste. This is a movie with enough starpower for the pickiest movie buff, and all of them deliver. This movie is a must see, if you don't then,"you're no daisy at all."

Summary: Tombstone delivers!
Review: I absolutely loved this movie! Val Kilmer was amazing as Doc Holliday. I recommend this movie to anyone, not just western movie buffs. Kilmer fans need to check it out if you haven't already.

Summary: An accurate movie about a controversial historic event.
Review: According to INVENTING WYATT EARP by Allen Barra (Carroll and Graff, 1998), this is the most accurate retelling of the still controversial conflict between the Earp Brothers and the Clanton gang at Tombstone. The Earps were neither saints nor sinners, but they were basically the good guys in the riveting event that is most accurately, though less felicitously, described as "The Gunfight in the Vacant Lot behind the O. K. Corral." Doc Holliday, perhaps the most intriguing personality in the old west, is said to be accurately portrayed by Val Kilmer.

Summary: The Best
Review: I'll admit I really enjoy westerns so perhaps I'm a bit biased, but this is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It has all the action you could ever ask for and a bit of humor as well. I haven't met anyone who didn't think this was a great movie.

Summary: A breakdown of true history!
Review: Man, this is an awesome movie for the Boomers as well as the X's! Russell really gets the women into the cowboy fantasy while Kilmer puts the cool in cowboy/gunslinger. Johnny Rambo brings out the wits in all of them. I don't believe I ever admired a good Western like this one since Young Guns! I'll be sure to have it in my collection!

Summary: Lord, did I hate this movie
Review: Sorry to say it (I am in a tiny minority among my friends on this one) but this is the kind of movie you wish could shoot itself in the head. The actors all seem very satisfied with themselves (to the point of aggressive cuteness), the script is a gunbelt of cliches, and if the production didn't annoy me so much, I would have fallen asleep.

And here's another minority view: I preferred Costner's version to this lame re-telling.

Summary: GREAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, NICE & BIG LOOK & FEEL
Review: FIRST, THE DVD WASN'T IN THE CASE SO I HAD TO TRY TO RETURN IT - YEAH RIGHT. HAD TO BUY ANOTHER ONE. THIS MOVIE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE EVER. CAPTURES THE GRANDURE OF THE OLD WEST AS IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN, BUT SURELY IS HOW IT IS OFT' TIMES ROMANTICISED. ONE OF THE FEW MOVIES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE REALLY THERE. WALL STREET DOES THE SAME IN A DIFFERENT CLASS OF MOVIE.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unforgetable gun-slinging action
Review: This is one of my favorite movies. A great account of Wyatt Earp and his legendary life. Kurt Russell(Earp) and Val Kilmer(Doc Holliday)deliver amazing performances in a movie with explosive action that never stopps. This is a true western with an amazing cast that includes Russell, Kilmer, Sam Elliot, Bill Paxton, Dana Delany, and with a little stint from Charlton Heston. This is an amazing movie that you will always remember and want to watch again and again. A truly awesome movie that keeps you engrossed with gun-slinging action that never stops. Order Tombstone and watch the legendary tales of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday explode on your telivision set. Greg-17
