Review: All I need to say is this DVD was awesome! I have been a fan of Nick Mondo for a couple years. He was more then a hardcore warrior, he was an interesting person and this movie proves he is just awesome. You want to see blood, drama, and the soul of a man I say buy this dvd.

Summary: Well worth the low price
Review: I got this DVD on pre-order as soon as I realized it existed and I dont regret it. This DVD features the story of Nick Mondo directly from Nick Mondo. It has interviews with mondo, his frieds, his parents and fellow wrestlers.

This isnt really a wrestling DVD, this is a Documentary on the man behind the gimmick and the reasons he put himself through hell day in and day out for the cheers of the fans.

overall this is a great pickup for any wrestling fan, even non wrestling fans would like it its sort of like what A&E Biography would be like if it where cool

Summary: The Real Ultraviolent Icon
Review: Living in Philly, I have been exposed to this heaven called CZW for a couple of years. One of the men aimed to bring COmbat Zone Wrestling to the apex of ultraviolence, was Sick Nick Mondo. A great aerial wrestler turned deathmatch wrestler, this DVD is all about him. It documents his life, from childhood to retirment, to where he is now.

It is worth it to watch the directors cut version, becuase it is longer, and you don't have the teenage boys "backyard wrestling" and the random half naked tramps in the background while watching the film. They ahve interviews w/ Mondo's mom and dad, Horace the PSychopath(from IWA-MS KOTDM fame), mondo himself, is girlfriend, and a couple others.

The matches included on the DVD are worth the price. THey had some of his earlier matches in the smaller Indies. But the best were his matches in CZW, where he is shown against Nick Gage in the match where Gage almost caught fire. ANd his infamous match against Wifebeater( where the weedwhacker was used!!)

Overall I would suggest this to anyone, but CZW fans in particular. People who do not appreciate wrestling will after watching this. Zandig may call himself the Ultraviolent Icon, and Ian Rotten may call himself the Undisputed King of HArdcore, but Sick Nick Mondo is the Real Ultraviolent Legend.

Summary: Unscarred is nothing short of amazing.
Review: Unscarred is the documentary of Harcore Indy Wrestling Superstar "Sick" Nick Mondo.

The movie covers everything from his early backyard wrestling days, pulling outrageous stunts with his high school friends, to his professional career including Combat Zone Wrestling where he became known as one of the most insane wrestlers of all time. From being power bombed off of buildings to taking a weedwhacker to the stomach, Nick Mondo has done it all and survived.

The movie includes great interviews with fellow wrestlers, family, and friends, as well as Mondo himself who relays exactly what was going through his head and what drove him to take such amazing risks.

Watch this movie and find out why I say Nick Mondo is the Strongest Wrestler Ever!

Summary: Terrific
Review: Unscarred is the funny and inspirational life story of Sick Nick Mondo (real name Matthew Burns), an art school student and former hardcore independant wrestler. This documentary, directed by Mondo himself, shows his life in high school, pulling CKY pranks with his friends and having "ninja battles" (backyard wrestling matches, but before they were cool), and goes on to show his evolution to a cult hero in the wrestling world and as an artist and filmmaker. You wouldn't think a man who's had a job that routinely involved wreslting bare-back in broken glass would be able to produce beautiful oil paintings, but that's Nick Mondo. The story is accessible to nonwrestling fans, and Mondo's level headed and likable nature's enough to carry the uninitiated through the bloodbaths he goes through. And for wrestling fans, this is a highlight reel of Mondo's most impressive stunts.

My only complaint would be that the hardcore wrestling clips get to be overlong at times, and if you're showing this to someone with no concept of hardcore wrestling, odds are they'll be overwhelmed by the pouring on of the violent images. Thumbtacks and broken glass embedded in flesh, salt poured onto open wounds, a dive off a 2 story balcony onto concrete, a brutal caning, and even a weedwhacker to the stomach are all shown in unflinching detail. It's gorier than lots of horror movies, and all the blood is real. Nessesary to tell the story and appeal to CZW fans, definately, but breaking them up would make them easier to digest.

That aside, I'd reccomend this documentary to wrestling and nonwrestling fans alike. Knowing that Mondo made this himself makes it that much more impressive.
