Summary: Great!!!
Review: This was easily the greatest ppv ever. better than any wrestlemania, survivor series etc... Shure all the matches were worth 8 stars or above. But one match stood out. My favorite match ever. HBK vs. HHH. Amazaying match as mean gene would say. They used trash cans, ladders, chairs, tables, everything you could imagine. Buy this video for the matches but mainly that one matcth.

Summary: Classic
Review: This was without a doubt the best PPV of the past couple of years I believe. The opening match alone sets the tone for the whole event. Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio battle it out in a fast paced and exciting match. If it weren't for the two main events, I think this would have been the match of the night. But lots of other great matches like Flar vs. Jericho, Benoit vs. RVD, etc... lie ahead. Then comes Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H....I do not know if words can do this match justice because it is just too damn good. At the current moment, this is my pick for match of the year and I don't see anything beating it. I had my doubts on HBK and his ability to perform in this match but those doubts were quickly lost. It's a true classic for wrestling fans. Following the match is another one that is almost as good and would almost tie it I think. The Rock vs. "The Next Big Thing", Brock Lesnar. I couldn't get over how the fans were pulling for Brock (even as a heel) but they booed the Rock almost the whole match. Both put on the match of their lives I think and it was great to see it. I look forawrd too seeing what Brock has in store for the future. This PPV is essential so check it out.

Summary: HBK RETURNS!...
Review: I was at this in person.....great PPV...with the exception of a few lackluster matches (Flair/Jericho....why the hell is Jericho stuck wrestling Flair?? its a waste of Jericho's talent....Test/UT also kinda ...)....this was maybe the best PPV of the year....Angle/Mysterio have a excellent fast-paced match to kick things off...the UnAmericans defend their titles against Booker T/Goldust....tremendous crowd heat by the UnAmericans (its about damn time Lance Storm got some attention...ECW!! ECW!!).....as they "cheat" their way to victory....Edge/Eddie Guerrero put forth a solid match...although not as much high-flying action as you might expect...classic match for the IC belt between RVD and Chris Benoit....then the match of the night (and my vote for PPV match of the year)....a comeback 4 years in the making....the legend Shawn Michaels makes his return to the ring in a non-sanctioned match with Triple H...honestly I didnt know what to expect from HBK in this match....4 years is a long layoff....but he put on one hell of a show...he takes some crazy bumps...and shows his old flair for the dramatic as well as some high-risk maneuvers....not the same old HBK....but close enough....I hate Triple H...but I have to say he also has one of his best matches here....if this is HBK's last match....it was a great way for him to go out....finally we have the main event....WWE Undisputed Championship match between Brock Lesnar and The Rock (Rock's last match before he goes off to shoot some more movies)....interesting match not of what happened in the ring...but out of it....surprisingly Rock gets booed bigtime by the crowd here....I know alot of people have asked me why that happened....2 reasons...alot of wrestling fans are ... off at Rock thinking he has "sold out" by not staying with the WWE full-time....and going off to Hollywood to make movies.....also the last time the WWE came to Nassau Coliseum was for a house show that Rock was advertised to be at....yet he never showed at the event....but I know more and more people are ... at the Rock for "selling out"....so it wouldnt surprise me to see him get booed the next time he steps foot in a WWE ring.....anyways no surprise in this match....you knew Lesnar would win since he is getting pushed to the heavens...and Rock leaving again....Lesnar finishes Rocky off with an F-5 and we have a new champion......all in all.....a great PPV...highlighted by the return of the showstoppa...the icon...the main event....HBK!!

Summary: WWE SUMMERSLAM 2002
Review: If you're a true wrestling fan then you need to get this video right now. Do like I did and order it off Amazon.com and they will ship it right to you. Believe me, it's worth it a lot. Shawn Micheals takes on Triple H in a non-sanctioned match, meaning that there are no rules, no count outs, no time limit. If you think the match between The Rock & Hollywood Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 18 was something, then wait until you see HBK vs. Triple H. These two men beat each other up with chairs, ring steps, ladders, a sledgehammer, a leather belt, tables, and garbage cans. This has to be the best match this year so far. It's bloody, violent, and truly unforgettable. The brutal and distasteful sledgehammer attack following the matchup is NOT for the faint of heart. But this match is truly a classic. Also, The Rock takes on Brock Lesnar for the WWE Undisputed Championship. This match was also enjoyable, especially the part where Paul Heyman is rockbottomed through the spanish announce table by The Rock. The Rock was booed an awful lot in this match. I don't really know why. But the fans seemed to be more behind Lesnar than The Rock. The other matches on the card were O.K. but nothing compared to the double main event. Buy this video. It's worth your money. It was certainly worth mine.

Summary: The Legend Returns
Review: WWE Summerslam 2002 is action packed from the Opening match to the Main Event! Kurt Angle takes on Rey Mysterio in an excellent fast-paced match, Chris Jericho battles Ric Flair in a huge chop-fest, Edge and Eddie Guerrero face off, but the fued is only heating up between these two. Rob Van Dam wins back his WWE Intercontinental title from Chris Benoit, Booker T & Goldust get {cheated} out of the titles against the UnAmericans and The Undertaker and Test battle it out as well. The Heartbreak Kid, who hasen't had a match since WrestleMania 14, returns to face Triple H in a classic battle. This was a non-sanctioned match by the WWE, and the match consisted of chairs, garbage cans, ladders, and tables! The Main Event of the evening saw the WWE Champion The Rock take on "The Next Big Thing" Brock Lesnar, where Lesnar captured his dream by winning the gold, and quite possibly put The Rock on his "Your career is ended by the hands of Brock Lesnar" list!

Summary: This one is a must own
Review: 2002 has been an uneven year for the WWF/WWE. There have been some amazing PPVs and some pretty horrible ones. This said, SummerSlam 2002 was one of the best Pay Per Views i have ever witnessed in my 4 years of being a WWE die hard fan.
To me, it was a solid card from beginning to end, with all matches delivering. But there were three highlights. The first one would be the opener with Rey Mysterio Jr. taking on Kurt Angle in one of the most exciting matches of the year. Also, Brock Lesnar dominating Rock for the WWE Undisputed Title was classic, if a bit short. But the reason that this purchase is worth every bit of your money, is the epic, emotional, intense match that Triple H had with the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. The match literally had every person in the room i was watching it with on the edge of their seats for the duration of the match. Shawn Michaels, after his horrible back injury, put on a better show than most wrestlers would have put on at 100%. In my opinion, it was the match of the year, and is a must own. Plus, you get extras that only sweeten the pot. So, if you're looking to purchase the best WWE programming this year, get this, and also pick up Wrestlemania 2002.

Summary: Old school Summerslam is back
Review: In keeping with tradition, this year's Summerslam delivered. Unlike the recent trend in the WWF(E), this event avoided using any gimmick matches but rather focused on all singles matches plus one tag-team title match. From top to bottom every match was enjoyable with the Mysterio/Angle, Michaels/HHH, and Rock/Brock match as the obvious standouts. Even Undertaker and Ric Flair in their old age gave very good efforts against Test and Chris Jericho respectively.

As far as WWE DVD's go, this one is excellent compared to their recent releases. The extras are well chosen and fun to watch (just watch some of the extras from DVD's released during the Invasion angle.) My only problems with this DVD is that their is some minor pixilazation during the crowd shots and that the WWE is still editing out theme music. Once again Edge's theme was replaced with his old theme and Ric Flair's music was taken out in favor of generic music.

Besides these minor complaints, this is a great show and deserves a place on the shelf of any WWE fan.

Summary: The Brock Era Begins!
Review: Match 1 - Rey Mysterio v Kurt Angle
Great Opener. Mysterio scored with lots of crazy moves on Angle, but in the end it was the American Hero countering a Hurricane-rana into the Ankle Lock. This made Rey Mysterio have no choice but to tap out. ****

Match 2 - Chris Jericho v Ric Flair
Y2J applied the Walls Of Jericho on the Nature Boy, and Flair tapped, but his hand was in the ropes at the same time, so it did not count. A few moments later, Flair locked in the Figure-Four on the 'King Of The World', which made Jericho tap out. **1/2

Match 3 - Eddie Guerrero v Edge
After doing lots of damage to Edge's shoulder, Guerrero felt what it is like to get an Edge-o-cution, but Latino Heat kicked out. After taking the advantage again, Eddie was Speared and pinned by Edge. ***1/2

Match 4 - Un-Amercians v Booker T & Goldust (Tag Team Titles)After Test interfered and gave Booker T a Big Boot to the face when the referee was not looking, Christian pinned the 5-Time WCW Champion, giving him and Lance Storm the pinfall victory. **3/4

Match 5 - Rob Van Dam v Chris Benoit (Intercontinental Title)After an intense battle, RVD hit a Five-Star Frog Splash on the Rabid Wolverine for the win. This enabled the Intercontinental Championship to now be on RAW, not SmackDown!. ***3/4 Good, fast-paced action from two great superstars.

Match 6 - Undertaker v Test
Both Christian and Lance Storm interfered in the match, but were quickly Chokeslammed to hell by Taker. Test hit a Big Boot on Taker for a two-count. Soon after the Deadman loaded Test up for the Tombstone Piledriver for the victory. * The only bad match on the PPV.

Match 7 - Triple H v Shawn Michaels (Non-Sanctioned Match)
Many weapons such as chairs, steps, leather belts, trash cans, tables and ladders were all used during this amazing match. HBK launched himself off the top rope and drove HHH through a table, and then landed an elbow drop off the top of a ladder. Michaels went for the Sweet Chin Music, but the moves was blocked into a Pedigree, which was reversed into a roll-up pin for the victory! After the match the Game grabbed a sledgehammer and nailed Shawn twice in the back with it. ***** This could easily be the Match of the Year for 2002.

Match 8 - Brock Lesnar v The Rock (WWE Undisputed Title)
Rock hit a Rock Bottom on Lesnar for a two-count, and then recieved a Rock Bottom from Lesnar for a two-count! The People's Champ executed a spine-buster and went for the People's Elbow, but Brock recovered and hit an F-5 on the Rock for the victory. **** Very good match to end the show.

Overall, a FANTASTIC PPV, and well-worth the money.

Summary: Good but not Great.
Review: Most of those who watched Summerslam 2002 might ask "what is he thinking". Well SummerSlam has always been my second favorite venue second to Wrestlemania and both have disappointed me this year. Anyways here's the review.

Rey Mysterio v. Kurt Angle 8.5/10
great action, great opener everyone will love this one for sure. but you can download this match on Kazaa.

Ric Flair v. Y2j 6.5/10
could have been much much better, i was really looking forward to this one.

Eddie Guerrero v. Edge 6/10
some people loved this match alot, it was ok but nothing we havent seen on Smackdown.

UnAmericans v. Goldust & Booker (tag title) T 6/10
another disappointment some people loved it but just like a RAW match.

Taker v. Test 5/10
big man slugfest,another disappointment .

Benoit v. RVD (IC title) 5/10
their match on RAW before benoit left was tons of time better, plus u can download this on Kazaa.

HBK v. HHH (unsanctioned match) 10/10
match of the night , no doubt about it! match of the year candidate and most likely The Match of the Year 2002! Table,Ladder,Chair , blood , a grueling war with a not so happy ending. (another u can download on kazaa though)

Brock Lesnar v. Rock (WWE undisputed) 9.5/10
great buildup great match, intense and action packed! Wmx8 flashes in the Rock's head as he is booed again even though he's supposed to be the Face. great match.(downloadble on kazaa 2)

Anyways verdict: unless you dont have Kazaa its definitely worth watching and buying , but if you do have kazaa then download the matches that are worth watching (opener, unsanctioned, main event)
